      They definitely have a lot of energy weapons in Xenoblade 2. It's looking like Xenoblade 3 is the same.

    I love the enthusiasm. im mostly sure the quicksteps are purely for positioning. Backflipping into someones healing circle, hitting positionals or just moving around the battlefield in general seeing as having 7 people active on the field as well as the monsters would require some added mobility (also just looks cool). If they did something like ground targeted attacks you’d need to dodge like ff14 for example, then that would be great and give more purpose to the evades

    I think you’re misconstruing what this “dodge” skill really is. It appears to be more of a “quick step” ability to position around the enemy faster for positional Arts. I think having invincibility frames would completely break the game if we had that.

      I don't think it does have i-frames. I'm just saying it may because other moves do have i-frames. Also, nothing would completely break the game. Game devs always balance things around the game's mechanics. Dodging doesn't always require i-frames btw. Lots of games have dodges that don't have i-frames.
      It's definitely not just for art positioning btw. The backflip dodge moves you away from the monster. That isn't going to help you position yourself to land art. Backflip dodges are exclusively used for backing away from an enemy quickly in games that I've played. Why would you want to back away quickly if not to dodge an attack?

      @@xearriktalks5547 oh, I dunno, maybe the AOE *support Arts* that literally *everyone* learn and the fact that you have omnidirectional movement?? Not to mention AOE combat Arts as well?
