Have a nice day. I'm from Russia. Let me tell you, we harvest a lot of firewood. I bought a Husqvarna 450 a long time ago. It makes me happy at work, there is no vibration, there is a reserve of power. Very demanding on the quality of fuel and oil for chain lubrication. Observe this condition and the saw will serve you for a very long time.
I’m a lady that inherited a 450. I came here for a review to see if it was a good saw. I’ve moved out to family land and already have use for this with fallen branches and trees. Thank you for the review and information.
It's a rubbish saw the starter will stuff up after cutting about 3 logs and can't be fixed don't bother with it throw it in the rubbish. And it leaks all its bar oil making a huge mess.
We just had a tornado hit our town in Oklahoma a couple days ago and there’s a LOT of damage and downed trees. I bought this chainsaw and it’s helped so much. Thank you for the video and review!
Same in Augusta GA. I didn't have a gas chainsaw when the hurricane hit. Luckily, I got rid of all the trees near the house years ago. After 7 days, the power came back on, so I got my electric 18-inch saw out, and it doesn't run. I got aggravated and went to Lowes. They had pallets of the 450 out on the floor, so I bought one. I was skeptical that it would have enough power to run the 20-inch bar, but it has been fine. I have used the saw for 3 days, and the chain is still sharp. The only issue I have is it can be a little hard to restart once the engine cools down. If I pull the cord hold the trigger that seems to fix it.
I just purchased this same saw. I was very happy to see it cut through that seasoned hickory like that. I know how tough that hickory is when hardened. I can't wait to use mine this fall. Thanks for the video.
I also have the 455 I loved it .it was so dependable I did have one problem with the 455 the bar oiler did not work well .the 450 has a different oiler and it works great
Glad I watched your video! I thought your start switch stayed where it was when you gave it its first couple of pulls, then push down and get ready to Unn-UNN! Incidentally, my small engine recommended the Rancher over the Stihl. He said, "Less problems and easier to work on!" Thanks again! Steve in MT
I have a great dealership that checks everything before handing the tool over. I use the 455, and it has run perfectly every time! The non ethinel fuel is way too expensive and bit of a con, I use Husqvarna XP and it does pretty much the same, no issues so far!
I also have a 455 and love the power. I have noticed if I push the primer button one to many times it floods and I have to remove the spark plug to dry it out. Another problem I had when doing this is putting it back together I started noticing it was hard to start so in checking it out I noticed the sparkplug wire was not seating properly and riding on top of the spring clip tto the sparkplug. Once I figure that out and get it aligned properly it fires right up.
Thanks much for the review, just brought my 450 home, bought it based on yourr and a few others post.. Firing it up tomorrow. Great review and keep up the good work!
bought mine at work for tax free weekend here in western Mass. " i work at TSC" and i love my 450. from big 25" logs i gotta buck up, to trimming the branches on down trees. Good do all saw i recommend to any home owner looking to buy just 1 saw.
I’ve ran the 450 at work and I really like them. I ended up busting the tank on it and had to get a stihl 261 and it’s a good saw. I like both husqvarna and stihl. The husqvarna 550xp is about the same size as the 450 but I think the 550 is lighter
I just watched your video and I too have a 455 Husky like you and I want to get a back up saw just in case. I noticed one thing that is different between the two and the 455 has 2 bar tightening bolts to secure the bar down tight which I really like as compared to the 450 only having one bolt. That make the two uncompatable for switching side covers and my biggest problem is with the bar and chain loosening up more frequently. What do you think? I was a Northern California Logger back in the 1970's Up until 1990 and I ran Chainsaw every day. I love my 455 because it is very powerful and cuts great.
Nice video and review of Husqvarna 455 Rancher 20". I bought the same saw last Saturday and the place where I got it never told me that if I bought their fuel and I would extend my warranty, I guess I missed out on getting the warranty....Hopefully I can find a way to do so. thanks again.
I just sub'd....You have the looks, voice, and disposition to be great on youtube.....If you pursue it want it. I'm usually right. 92% of the time...I'll stay tuned for a while.
My pull string broke after the second time pulling on it. That was a real treat fixing myself. And this thing leaks bar oil so badly I have to keep a garbage can lid under it when not in use because it drains the whole tank.
mine does the same. Leaks bar oil like crazy. I've had mine for about 4 years and I religiously drain the fuel out of it (no exceptions) if i'm not going to use it for long periods of time, to make sure it never sucks in bad 2 stroke gas. Mine will run for about 10 minutes and then quit, and that's it for the day, it won't restart. I've tried letting it sit, adjusting the high and low throttle screws, nothing works. It quits after about 10 minutes.
My dad bought one from Lowes, damn thing started overheating like crazy and chain loosens too much. Cut good when it was good but started overheating and turning off. 👎
The most unreliable rubbish I cut 3 logs with my new rancher and the starter mechanism stuffs up and cannot be fixed its absolute rubbish do not buy, and if you have one just throw it away like I did total rubbish
That 450 is a complete pile of shit because 1 bought one & ran 1 tank of fuel & the oil tank was still 3/4 full & my bar & chain are smoked because they got to hot. Common sense simple when you run a tank of fuel out the oil should be 95% empty if not 98% empty. Now you would think that Husqvarna would have somebody with a little more education than a preschooler would figure that out since that is their business that they are in. How is every other brand of chainsaw Echo Homelite Craftsman Ryobi Stilh McCulloch & so on figured out 1 full tank of fuel = 1 full tank of oil
I'm not super thrilled with my 450 either. Mine it's impossible to keep the chain taught. The tightening screws and slot on the saw are pure garbage design. Mine runs for about 10 minutes and then overheats and shuts down for the rest of the day. I use 2 stroke and plenty of chain oil but it just doesn't run well for extended periods. Next saw i get will be a Stihl, I don't care how expensive it is. I've never had issues with Stihl power equipment.
I don't know why such a big bar it is a mistake the bigger bar is more expensive and so is the chain the same 450 with a 15 or 16 inch bar cut twice as fast and for those who know how to cut a short bar, it's fine but see if you're far away that you don't know what you're doing and the chainsaw 450 rancher is not even professional does the job but barely, too slow these americans are a comedy
We have big trees here. 15 or 16 inch wouldnt do it. Also fewer the teeth more you often you need to sharpen. And we are here small farmer not logger. This chainsaw more than.enough for us. Also best that we can effort.
A woman who gives her man a new chainsaw is a definite keeper. 👍👍👍
Thank you yes she is a keeper
I gave mine a chainsaw and it’s still sitting empty with the packaging on it 😂
❤@@akhoneybee907 you can tell your husband to send it to me then. 😂 im just teasing.

Love my 450. The first start was... reluctant, but it starts, runs, and cuts like a champ now.
For my first saw I was really leaning towards my the Stihl MS271 but now I think I'll go with the 450 Rancher instead 💯👍

Nice surprise!
I’ve had the 455 Rancher for years and it’s been a good saw.
Thanks for the review of the 450

Just fired this saw up for the first time today. Great introduction video, extremely informative!
Thank you. Good luck with your saw!

I also have a 455 I love it only problem is oiler it stretches chains prematurely

Nice review thank you! I think I'm going to pick one of these up for an all around saw. Keep up the informative videos and friendly vibe!
I love my 450 husky! Great video!
Awesome! Thank you!

I had him for 20 years and have never be problems.
You are a genuine nice fella, thanks for the review!
Thank you so much
Just bought a 450 rancher to replace my 25 yr old 345. Nice saw!
I’ve ran the 450 at work and I really like them. I ended up busting the tank on it and had to get a stihl 261 and it’s a good saw. I like both husqvarna and stihl. The husqvarna 550xp is about the same size as the 450 but I think the 550 is lighter
Thank you I have had mine about 3months now cut about 8 full cords of fire wood still works great
I have had a 450 since 2009. Good saw. Own a 550 m2, insane saw. 550 is heavier but has more hp. Like them both.
Bought one for my Dad, He loves it.
I'm looking at getting a 450 for my old man, ive already got a 592XP and a 572XP husqvarnas, just need to get a nice light weight saw

Get a room
3/4 throttle for first tank break in, and run at 3/4 under light to moderate cutting load, not free revving.
Is that a 20” bar or 18?
Cool dog
Husk-A-varna?
I like you your cut G
First time it’s ever been started let’s hold it wide-open throttle.
Chip ejection is strong
Thanks just both mine
Good luck I hope it goes well

@@chrisloesch1870 I just make sure to run mine once a month or so. Even if you drain the fuel, it’ll get gummed up in the carb and lines.
You didn’t do the break in
Haskavarna😂😂😂no offence great review
Dont rev it up like that when its cold.. you’ll seize it eventually! Leave it on idle for 45 seconds and start rippin her!
Wish I had gone with the 455 over the 450

Where did u hear anyone claim this was a professional saw 🤦
These Americans ? You wish you were born in this beautiful country
Oh yah well i run a 24" bar on my 450 and there's nothing you can do about it 🤣
What a genuinely dumb reply.
