    I’d like to thank everyone for their kind comments and feedback. Doing this show with Jay was a truly wonderful experience full of plenty of laughs ! I wanted to make a small correction to the content in light of some recent factory records reviewed, conversations with Astec employees that built the carbon fiber tubs, and the designer Peter Stevens. There were actually 50 production chassis made, not 53 mentioned in the episode. One extra spare tub was ordered by Tom Walkinshaw 10 months after regular production had ended. Just wanted to clarify that for the sake of complete accuracy ! Thanks again for your kind comments and a special thank you to Jay Leno for having the car on the show ! Jas Dhillon

    Jay, you should ask this gentleman to bring his TWR XJ220S down to you so you can take a look at it. It's a different beast to the stock XJ220, 680bhp (up from 542bhp) and a few hundred kilograms lighter. It's basically a road going version of TWR's 1993 GT1 car.
    Also, next time you are in England, take a visit to Don Law Engineering. They now do all XJ220 servicing and updates on behalf of Jaguar, plus prepare the Jaguar GT, Group C and IMSA GTP cars. Last year Justin Law won the Goodwood Hillclimb in their 1993 XJR-12D IMSA GTP car.

    That guy has the most international/ambiguous accent I've ever heard- sounds like bits of English, Australian, American, Indian, maybe some South African- pretty much every English-speaking country all mixed up together.

Studied his way through and shifted down to Lexington, Kentucky and is one of the well known Indian Doctors in United States. Canadian accents Canadians have a strong link to Scotland, Ireland etc... Sounds Aussie, also

    Such a beautiful and timeless design, this car was one of my favorites from my childhood, in video games, a lightweight, V12 hearted beast. Lucky man to own one of 53 produced. I also have seen the petrolicious video, and it's beautiful to see the XJ15 in motion, through twisty roads winding up the rpm's. Truly an artistic and mechanical masterpiece.

    Amazing piece of Jaguar history back when Jags were Jags. This beautiful car came from pure bred stock, straight off the racing circuits and into the hands of mortals. Brings back memories of when you had to shout at your injectors and smack the perc fan to get the car to drink. The youth of today never had the experience of feeling a car drink petrol, every explosion that threw you forward. Another GREAT video Jay, thanks.

      facepalm.jpg do you have any capability of pondering the perspective of other people?? Do you think Jay just sits around and thinks, "hmm, I feel like doing ________ car this week, so ill magically make it appear and then magically film it for hours just so I can appeal to peoples ignorant whims....." nearly every car you listed has tons and tons of information already out there, not to mention are far from interesting compared to the numerous other vehicles Jay (typically and thankfully) showcases. ugh

    • @kyongslist
      @kyongslist 6 лет назад +1

      if you knew anything, you would know that the R390 is nearly the same car as this too, just with Nissans own engine.... This car being reviewed not only is just better in and more interesting in every way, but is the original design and actually made in real numbers (whereas there is only 1 single R390 which is only legal for street use in Japan and thats irrelevant anyway because its owned by Nissan and has never once seen the street, and never will.) get a clue

    • @AtPeacePiece
      @AtPeacePiece 6 лет назад +6

      Kyong Hansen Brotha. It’s just a wish list. Nobody expects it to actually happen. But yeah, I guarantee you if jay wanted to do videos on those exact cars he could, easily. Car guys love to show off their cars. Cheers.

    Jaw on the floor, I've not seen this car in a long time... And I'd still want one!
    I really think this Jaguar is the only one to come from the 90's looking like a modern day exotic! I can believe the 90's were so long ago & all of that time that had passed. Still, when you look at this car... It looks like it fits in right now.
    As for the owner, he really seems like a stand-up guy and very reserved. Great cars for great men! Then you hear that he's an everyday guy that had a childhood just like every normal, middle-class kid... Priceless story, this car really suits the man.

      It kind of drove in the same way the XJ220 does in the later games: steady understeer at turn in, then give a little gas and it flies all over the place. Would be cool to have it in a modern GT, just to see how hardcore it'd be, probably like a mix between F40 and XJ220.
