No one really died in this ending though. Only Jackie, and that was our fault. Johnny got removed from our body, which is pretty much V's goal through the whole game.

Johnny actually got killed, after the relic has been destroyed, Arasaka won above everything: Militech, V, Johnny, Jackie, Viktor, Misty, nomads, street people and even death. Only my poor boy Takemura is actually happy. Misty conferms my theory: she uses tarot one last time and tells V that hope will never save him/her.

V literally sells his/her soul to survive because they're so desperate and they end up becoming a shell of themselves. You betray yourself to live and arasaka uses you as a pawn, giving you the short end of the stick. The only positive from this ending is that takemura doesn't commit suicide it you saved him before.
Not sure, V actually choose to die this time and realized about the importance of the people around him/her. Since the ending tells us very little, you can imagine what happens next. People are not happy about Saburo being reborn and they will most likely rebel like Johnny once did and V became a legend of some sort, but is not consumed by it like in the other ending whre he/she plans a heist on the space station. He/she just wants to spend his/her last moments with the people she cares about the most. And maybe just maybe Takemura will actually try his best to find a cure for you.
This is the most realistic and Cyberpunkish ending. It's like Mike Pondsmith said, Cyberpunk isn't about saving the world, it's about saving yourself. That's the grim reality of the dark future.

After all that we did to Arasaka, Saburo just took his son's body so he can live in a physical body again and the cycle will continue again and us, V, is still gonna die even if the biochip has already been taken out. This ending just completed how V is just trying to survive the whole time.
I like this ending not because I think "it's the best" or anything but because this last moment is impactful. The moment the song starts kicking in and V pulls her necklace - ooomph. Gives me the chills.
My first ending I signed the contract, it's almost the opposite but hits just as hard. You going into a small room full of a few docs and some equipment. V places the necklace over his head and just prays as he gets turned into an engram and placed inside mikoshi...to await the day he can either live again...or gets used up by the Corp while in there. The contract you sign even reads that Hellman is basically buying your engram on behalf of Arasaka and they can modify it however they want. Though by far the ending that hit me the most, cause I had to go back and replay the final mission to get every ending, but the one that hit me the most was storming the tower as johnny, and having to watch johnny with his new lease on life...burying V and Rogue. That shit was super hard to watch, and got worse when Panam left her voicemail calling johnny a parasite and how she's gonna find him and rip V outa that head....
V realized they have betrayed themselves buy at least when you choose to go home you didn't truly surrender to arasaka unlike the ending where you got put into mikoshi
It's even sadder because Never Fade Away was about Alt, her death was even sadder. Johnny unknowingly killed her, when he was about to pull the plug, she wasn't dead, her mind was in the net, she just had to get back in. He was just trying to save her, it ended up with her body and consciousness dying in his arms and her mind drifting into the net.
Food for thought for anyone interested. This ending is pure dystopian evil. Easily the worst case scenario ending for the game. I went into this ending expecting that "V" was going to become "The Devil" so ultimately I was completely blindsided by the level of betrayal that exists in this path. A lot of the game strongly revolves around V and Johnny's personalities influencing one either, It's easy to see on the surface how V has influenced Johnny in positive ways throughout the game, but something Johnny tries to drive home for V is principal. Which is why Johnny is so betrayed when you choice to take this path, selling your principals "Soul" for a chance at extending your life. I was initially confused over the answer from Arasaka when V requests a new body. The "Compatibility" Issue. The ideas to defend this statement throughout the game are fairly weak, you can argue that V and Johnny were a fluke but that serves as evidence to counter the claimed compatibility. There's no indication V and Johnny are related by blood. There's no information in the game from either shards or conversation to strongly support that biological compatibility is a requirement of Relic 2.0. Yet through our anecdotal experience over the course of the game, we see that Relic 2.0 is more than capable of forcing compatibility onto V's body in preparation to host Johnny's engram. At first I wondered if this was a loophole, but from further thought I am convinced that this is intentional. Throughout the ending, there are several indications of the mess you've gotten yourself into. Your conversation with Saburo, it is very clear that this individual is not a forgiving man. Especially with outsiders. Right from waking up on the orbital clinic, your experience is very cold and ominous, Arasaka isn't there to help you clearly. You try and call for help, to understand what's going on, Hanako wont even pick up. Gods not having time for mortals as Hellman would put it. Therefore your answer isn't that Arasaka can't put V's engram into another body, its instead that they won't. This is the betrayal in this ending, V is lied to. You could argue that Saburo exists in Yorinobu's body as something to support the compatibility issue, but again is clearly an intentional move rather than a necessary one. For one I would argue that the probability of powerful cloning technology existing in this setting are very high, so in my mind for the power and influence Arasaka has I really believe they could have just made Saburo a blank template. This is where Yorinobu comes in, diving into Cyberpunks lore and writing you can learn how much of a thorn Yorinobu is in Saburo's side, his dedication to destroying the Arasaka corporation. Yorinobu's internal faction within Arasaka represents one of the largest barriers Saburo has to consolidating full control over his corporation, and Hanako basically acts as an extension of Saburo's will. This is the explanation for the coup, and why in other endings that fate doesn't fair well for Hanako. To finish this statement off, Saburo doesnt take Yorinobus body because he has to, he takes it because he can. It's a message and statement for anyone that would oppose him. It's killing two birds in one stone, destroying Yorinobu and his faction as well as sending a powerful statement to anyone with similar thoughts. Just as we can see that in either of V's options, Saburo has you either way. You submit to soulkiller and enter Mikoshi which will be your prison for eternity, or you walk to live out your 6 months. Ideally Arasaka allows you to do this because of the state V is in, clearly no threat to the corporation (Cant pass the motor function test, or solve the 4 piece rubics, V is obviously very damaged) In Typical fashion of the corporations V gets a call from Hanako with an offer for some work during the remaining life they have, this is very fitting. Dystopian Corporations squeezing everything they can out of someone. Remember when she wouldn't even pick up when you needed someone? Pure Dystopian Cyberpunk Evil, and I thank CDRED for this. Never Stop Fighting -Johnny Silverhand.
In this ending Everyone died for nothing, Arasaka won, V is basicly a machine in organic body, and everyone left V alone. There is no a single positive in that ending, whoever chosed this ending didnt listened or understood the story.

I played as a corpo in my first run and completely shut out any spoilers, though I knew where I wanted to go. V was a survivor. Raised from birth in the cutthroat corpo culture to do whatever it took, sacrifice whoever they had to, to survive, regardless of what it is, or who they are. As far as V was concerned, Arasaka was her best hope of survival. She was right. Arasaka, for their part, held up their end of the deal. She sacrificed her friends, her loved ones, and in the end, her body to the corporate gods. She lost everything. She paid the price. And she won. She survived. She refused to fade away. The only question that remains... was it worth the price?
If she ever lives again. If her mind is ever downloaded to another body. She’ll be a nobody again. She’s sacrificed all her loved ones. They’re all dead at this point. So even in the ending where you survive, you do so at the cost of everything you know and love. You’re back to where you started. So, just like every other ending, the events of the game are proven to have been pointless.

Even though Star ending means a bunch of nomads die, Sun means *Rogue* dies and in Devil, NOBODY dies except Johnny, and he can't be considered "dead" because he's a program. V had sacrificed their *dignity,* if they had any, for survival. Sold out. But Rogue did too, and look where she is now - queen of Fixers. And none of V's friends will know it or care most likely. too bad it had so much bug and so little people could have a good experience with it, and too bad it was launched so late, they could have competed in this goty, probably they would have won. to me also is a game of the year, i hope they fix the bug till half the next yeah or even earlier, and in the end it wins the goty of 2021, and a lot more
@@grayfox196 I don't think it has a chance for GOTY 2021 because of the state it launched in. Too many pissed off people. But if they just delayed for a few more months then definitely. But for me, selfishly, I'm very happy. I was able to play it right away there were some issues but with Patch 1.04 a few days later it was perfect.
no, the mikoshi on earth is the only port to the place, the actual data is mostly stored in space. remember, these are people souls, they don't want em breaking or getting lost

@@NotMikey437 To me it feels like it's deliberately _impersonal._ Like the game's telling you you no longer have control over what happens next in V's story. You made your choices and now you have to live with them.
@@sknfer Love how johnny is basically right the moments it really matters, there's some side jobs and shit where he is plain wrong or just an ass, but he has a good grasp of the bigger picture and usually doesn't lead V into the wrong path. This is even more true during Phantom Liberty.
My first ending was V losing his soul. This is all really depressing but as far as endings go, I'll always chose the return to earth one over that incredibly bleak last image of V surrounded by doctors who couldn't care less about him, dying as Arasaka uses soulkiller on him. This just felt so, really, wrong.

@@thelonewanderer3313 I see lots of people say the Nomad ending is the 'best' ending. While I agree, yeah, thats the best ending for V; I feel it's not the true ending. Imo Cyberpunk 2077 doesn't deserve a good ending. It's not a "and they lived happily ever after" game. I think this is perhaps one of the more fitting endings, as its bitter sweet - You've won, but at what cost?
Sorry if this is obvious, but I only just realized the symbolism. It's the earth, or, the world. Like the card. It is the literal and figurative end of V's journey. As the card says, "The World lies at the end of The Fool's long and winding journey. Wiser and more world-weary than he started out, the Fool faces a moment of reckoning"
I never played a game where every ending was just so sad somehow. The Panam ending was at least a little bit of a happy ending.. but for the most ... tbh it was so heavily sad always. made me cry sometimes.
The one where you leave with Panam is definitely the one I'd call the "good" ending since it turns out the happiest, especially for a male V that romanced Panam (like my first character). That final scene, riding atop the Basilisk beside Panam was emotionally powerful - you're with the Aldecados, your new family, and where you are going there is a chance to get help... you will either survive or when you do die, you'll be surrounded by people who genuinely care about you and have followed you to hell and back. That's definitely the happy ending.
@@Dreznin i think the ending where V gives Johnny their body is the best one. in all the other ones, there’s no guarantee that V will find a way to live more than 6 months, but if they give their body to Johnny, it’s like a passing the torch. At least in this ending we know that both of them don’t die, at least one of them will be able to live on.
@@IanUbee And at least johnny seems to want to start a new life not just for himself but to not squander Vs gift to giving him one more chance at life…however I cant handle a crying judy or an angry panam. Johnny living ending is only great if you romanced no one and stuck with just Rogue.
I think each ending has its own theme playing at the end. The one that comes to mind is the Panam ending, when you're driving the Panzer (or whatever its called) across the border, and the acoustic guitar plays. That tune also felt very powerful, but a very different feel to it, cause there's actually some hope in that ending. The Devil ending is just so depressing, V lost everything, and sold his/her soul to the devil. Damn, this game left a big hole inside, and I haven't been able to fill it since.

I love all of the endings. Even the best ending (leaving the city with friends) is tragic and awful the more you think about it. The self deletion ending feels valid and moving which is so so so deeply effecting and it's the first time I've seen a game do that properly. And this. This is just perfect. Rage, sadness, isolation and betrayal. Quintessentially cyberpunk.
That's what I love about cyberpunk. Games like Deus Ex are about the big conspiracies/big scheme of things, meanwhile cyberpunk is foccussed on the gut wretching dillema common people are facing in this dark future.

she got rid of her momento mori. she realized she confused its meaning. we are creatures of beauty, we die, but do not fade away like old books. whatever an engram is it is not a person. when she choses to go back she realizes how lucky she is to have the time she has. a soul can not be secured or controlled. her world is so filled with fake things and the illusion of beauty. the cherry blossom we see during the parade is digital. a thing thats beauty is defined by its finitude is made int a gimmick to be replayed and utilized. after everything is done she understands why Johnny wrote those words.
People who bitch and moan about Cyberpunk really haven't played it at all , or haven't stuck around long enough to give the game a chance . I understand the disappointment after years of hype , i was let down a little as well , but DAMN does that game has a way of making you feel something . The emotions in this game ! It's more than i can say about a solid 95% of most games that have come out in the past years . They might be good games , enjoyable , but they make you feel practically nothing .

This is basically the bad ending of the game. After possibly dozens of hours of gameplay, the player makes the choice the trust the ultimate bad guy of the story, not learning anything.
This was my first ending, also the most depressing ending. My favourite is the Star ending when you leave with Judy, but this ending is one of the most emotional ending I've seen in games.
DAMN THIS ENDING IS SAD AS FUCK. I’ve finished the game weeks ago but just keep coming back to watch all the endings over again. God damn every ending is just so sad and or bittersweet. Even leaving nc with Panam is still a rough decision. Looking back at the city you were 1 step away from making it in just gone. You step away from it all. No fucking happy ever afters guess that’s why i keep coming back to these ending scenes.
I dont get the ending.. I chose to go home.. But then the end credits the character were calling V as if I didnt get vack to earth.. Edpecially panam. She treatef me like a friend
In this ending, instead of fixing the biochip problem, you took the operation to remove it. Unaware of the damage it was causing to V's body. Because of the damage, V only has several months to live. Also Johnny goes back to the corp, so no happy ending for him. So yeah. . . everything you did was for nothing.
as far as i can see it, she got those messages while she was in orbit and the phone service was disabled in the timespan she was doing the tests, which felt like groundhog day. The terrible truth in this game is that at the moment, V cant be saved, however Johnny can be saved. I hope in the DLC´s they give us a happier ending in which V can die of old age or gets a new body even if it is very hard to get at least they would give us the option.
Some bugs, played it on xbox series x and i can honestly say i can see what they was trying to do and did to a lot of effect! On the path to bigger and better games! Nvm the criticisms awesome story! Thoroughly enjoyed it!
If you don’t do many side missions the end to this game comes pretty quick. I saved and went ahead just to see how it would end for me. Damn, this was depressing. The phone calls I got made it seem like V went back to Earth but didn’t even bother to contact anyone. Judy left the city without me and Misty gave me a bleak tarot reading.
Someone can tell me why i cried for this game…like i cried how Jackie died…i..cried when the game end..just when the song : Never fade away by : Samuraï,i just started crying…
This ending just did hit too deep. First she sang that song, and in credits Judy left message that "Its only surviving in night city and only gets ignored by people she loves.". What would be more horrible than not being able to call your love one, and once you get out of the place which kept you far away from each other. There is only message she hates you and moved out and you have only 6months to live anymore.
Just did this ending wrapping up my achievements, and I really hate it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great in terms of the consequences for your actions but fuck... That talk about principles with Johnny hurt. Especially because I play a street kid and like Johnny, my V hates Arasaka. So me doing that ending and Johnny saying he felt betrayed, really hit me.

I like this version the most with different sound effects and echo or, fade in fade out sounds, don't know how to call it properly. I just like this ending soundtrack the most. Edit: Actually everything after 1:19 is male voice. The original male voice "Never fade away" is rock song, I hate rock. Female "Never fade away" is best but this one has male-female voices mixed which makes it unique. Just to make it sure, before 1:19 is female voice, after 1:19 is male voice. And that's why I like this very short version the most.

After a year & patch 1.5 I finally decided to play this game & my fucking gawd tis the 1st time a game affected me so fucking deeply. I'd just finished my 1st play through w/ no game breaking bugs. I somehow got the Path to Glory ending w/c I didn't quite like, what w/ Judy leaving my V then V going alone to dead space away from her chooms for a small chance of getting fixed(as hinted by Mr. Blue Eyes). But I do believe that either genius Judy or someone or something in Crystal Palace can save V. I hope these'll be the in dlc 🥲

Possibly the most Cyberpunk ending, because Night City never changes. The corporations always have all the power and always will. Even in the endings where V 'wins', V essentially gives Arasaka the equivalent of a bug bite. It's like Wolfram & Hart from Angel, these corps are so overwhelmingly powerful that they cannot be defeated, the most anyone can do is slow them down, give them a temporary setback. But fighting evil is always worthwhile, even if it's a losing battle. In LOTR, Frodo eventually loses his fight with evil and gives in to The One Ring, but his journey and resistance to it until then had already set up it's destruction. Evil is inherently self-destructive. Let Arasaka have enough rope and it'll hang itself. It's currently gearing up for another Corpo War with Militech, who have the NUSA and Night Corp onside. That's why I always chose the Star ending. Slow Arasaka down right when they can't afford a set-back, just as the 5th Corpo War is about to kick off.

When she touches her necklace you can really feel her emotions and thoughts. She's thinking to herself "this is my last run of life"
And that she fucked up not to mention became the reason Saburo came back to life.

Though by far the ending that hit me the most, cause I had to go back and replay the final mission to get every ending, but the one that hit me the most was storming the tower as johnny, and having to watch johnny with his new lease on life...burying V and Rogue. That shit was super hard to watch, and got worse when Panam left her voicemail calling johnny a parasite and how she's gonna find him and rip V outa that head....

V realized they have betrayed themselves buy at least when you choose to go home you didn't truly surrender to arasaka unlike the ending where you got put into mikoshi
It's even sadder because Never Fade Away was about Alt, her death was even sadder. Johnny unknowingly killed her, when he was about to pull the plug, she wasn't dead, her mind was in the net, she just had to get back in. He was just trying to save her, it ended up with her body and consciousness dying in his arms and her mind drifting into the net.
Food for thought for anyone interested. This ending is pure dystopian evil.
Easily the worst case scenario ending for the game. I went into this ending expecting that "V" was going to become "The Devil" so ultimately I was completely blindsided by the level of betrayal that exists in this path.
A lot of the game strongly revolves around V and Johnny's personalities influencing one either, It's easy to see on the surface how V has influenced Johnny in positive ways throughout the game, but something Johnny tries to drive home for V is principal. Which is why Johnny is so betrayed when you choice to take this path, selling your principals "Soul" for a chance at extending your life.
I was initially confused over the answer from Arasaka when V requests a new body. The "Compatibility" Issue. The ideas to defend this statement throughout the game are fairly weak, you can argue that V and Johnny were a fluke but that serves as evidence to counter the claimed compatibility. There's no indication V and Johnny are related by blood. There's no information in the game from either shards or conversation to strongly support that biological compatibility is a requirement of Relic 2.0. Yet through our anecdotal experience over the course of the game, we see that Relic 2.0 is more than capable of forcing compatibility onto V's body in preparation to host Johnny's engram. At first I wondered if this was a loophole, but from further thought I am convinced that this is intentional.
Throughout the ending, there are several indications of the mess you've gotten yourself into. Your conversation with Saburo, it is very clear that this individual is not a forgiving man. Especially with outsiders. Right from waking up on the orbital clinic, your experience is very cold and ominous, Arasaka isn't there to help you clearly. You try and call for help, to understand what's going on, Hanako wont even pick up. Gods not having time for mortals as Hellman would put it.
Therefore your answer isn't that Arasaka can't put V's engram into another body, its instead that they won't. This is the betrayal in this ending, V is lied to.
You could argue that Saburo exists in Yorinobu's body as something to support the compatibility issue, but again is clearly an intentional move rather than a necessary one. For one I would argue that the probability of powerful cloning technology existing in this setting are very high, so in my mind for the power and influence Arasaka has I really believe they could have just made Saburo a blank template. This is where Yorinobu comes in, diving into Cyberpunks lore and writing you can learn how much of a thorn Yorinobu is in Saburo's side, his dedication to destroying the Arasaka corporation. Yorinobu's internal faction within Arasaka represents one of the largest barriers Saburo has to consolidating full control over his corporation, and Hanako basically acts as an extension of Saburo's will. This is the explanation for the coup, and why in other endings that fate doesn't fair well for Hanako.
To finish this statement off, Saburo doesnt take Yorinobus body because he has to, he takes it because he can. It's a message and statement for anyone that would oppose him. It's killing two birds in one stone, destroying Yorinobu and his faction as well as sending a powerful statement to anyone with similar thoughts.
Just as we can see that in either of V's options, Saburo has you either way. You submit to soulkiller and enter Mikoshi which will be your prison for eternity, or you walk to live out your 6 months. Ideally Arasaka allows you to do this because of the state V is in, clearly no threat to the corporation (Cant pass the motor function test, or solve the 4 piece rubics, V is obviously very damaged) In Typical fashion of the corporations V gets a call from Hanako with an offer for some work during the remaining life they have, this is very fitting. Dystopian Corporations squeezing everything they can out of someone. Remember when she wouldn't even pick up when you needed someone?

In this ending Everyone died for nothing, Arasaka won, V is basicly a machine in organic body, and everyone left V alone. There is no a single positive in that ending, whoever chosed this ending didnt listened or understood the story.

I played as a corpo in my first run and completely shut out any spoilers, though I knew where I wanted to go. V was a survivor. Raised from birth in the cutthroat corpo culture to do whatever it took, sacrifice whoever they had to, to survive, regardless of what it is, or who they are.
As far as V was concerned, Arasaka was her best hope of survival. She was right. Arasaka, for their part, held up their end of the deal. She sacrificed her friends, her loved ones, and in the end, her body to the corporate gods.
She lost everything.
She paid the price.
And she won. She survived. She refused to fade away. The only question that remains... was it worth the price?
If she ever lives again. If her mind is ever downloaded to another body. She’ll be a nobody again. She’s sacrificed all her loved ones. They’re all dead at this point.
So even in the ending where you survive, you do so at the cost of everything you know and love. You’re back to where you started. So, just like every other ending, the events of the game are proven to have been pointless.

But for me, selfishly, I'm very happy. I was able to play it right away there were some issues but with Patch 1.04 a few days later it was perfect.

@@sknfer Love how johnny is basically right the moments it really matters, there's some side jobs and shit where he is plain wrong or just an ass, but he has a good grasp of the bigger picture and usually doesn't lead V into the wrong path. This is even more true during Phantom Liberty.
My first ending was V losing his soul. This is all really depressing but as far as endings go, I'll always chose the return to earth one over that incredibly bleak last image of V surrounded by doctors who couldn't care less about him, dying as Arasaka uses soulkiller on him. This just felt so, really, wrong.

I never played a game where every ending was just so sad somehow. The Panam ending was at least a little bit of a happy ending.. but for the most ... tbh it was so heavily sad always. made me cry sometimes.
The one where you leave with Panam is definitely the one I'd call the "good" ending since it turns out the happiest, especially for a male V that romanced Panam (like my first character). That final scene, riding atop the Basilisk beside Panam was emotionally powerful - you're with the Aldecados, your new family, and where you are going there is a chance to get help... you will either survive or when you do die, you'll be surrounded by people who genuinely care about you and have followed you to hell and back. That's definitely the happy ending.

At least in this ending we know that both of them don’t die, at least one of them will be able to live on.

I think each ending has its own theme playing at the end. The one that comes to mind is the Panam ending, when you're driving the Panzer (or whatever its called) across the border, and the acoustic guitar plays. That tune also felt very powerful, but a very different feel to it, cause there's actually some hope in that ending. The Devil ending is just so depressing, V lost everything, and sold his/her soul to the devil. Damn, this game left a big hole inside, and I haven't been able to fill it since.

she got rid of her momento mori. she realized she confused its meaning. we are creatures of beauty, we die, but do not fade away like old books. whatever an engram is it is not a person. when she choses to go back she realizes how lucky she is to have the time she has. a soul can not be secured or controlled. her world is so filled with fake things and the illusion of beauty. the cherry blossom we see during the parade is digital. a thing thats beauty is defined by its finitude is made int a gimmick to be replayed and utilized. after everything is done she understands why Johnny wrote those words.

This is basically the bad ending of the game. After possibly dozens of hours of gameplay, the player makes the choice the trust the ultimate bad guy of the story, not learning anything.
This was my first ending, also the most depressing ending. My favourite is the Star ending when you leave with Judy, but this ending is one of the most emotional ending I've seen in games.

Even leaving nc with Panam is still a rough decision. Looking back at the city you were 1 step away from making it in just gone. You step away from it all. In this ending, instead of fixing the biochip problem, you took the operation to remove it. Unaware of the damage it was causing to V's body. Because of the damage, V only has several months to live. Also Johnny goes back to the corp, so no happy ending for him. So yeah. . . everything you did was for nothing.
as far as i can see it, she got those messages while she was in orbit and the phone service was disabled in the timespan she was doing the tests, which felt like groundhog day. The terrible truth in this game is that at the moment, V cant be saved, however Johnny can be saved. I hope in the DLC´s they give us a happier ending in which V can die of old age or gets a new body even if it is very hard to get at least they would give us the option.
Some bugs, played it on xbox series x and i can honestly say i can see what they was trying to do and did to a lot of effect! On the path to bigger and better games! Nvm the criticisms awesome story! Thoroughly enjoyed it!

If you don’t do many side missions the end to this game comes pretty quick. I saved and went ahead just to see how it would end for me. Damn, this was depressing. The phone calls I got made it seem like V went back to Earth but didn’t even bother to contact anyone. Judy left the city without me and Misty gave me a bleak tarot reading.

This ending just did hit too deep. First she sang that song, and in credits Judy left message that "Its only surviving in night city and only gets ignored by people she loves.". What would be more horrible than not being able to call your love one, and once you get out of the place which kept you far away from each other. There is only message she hates you and moved out and you have only 6months to live anymore.

Just did this ending wrapping up my achievements, and I really hate it. Don’t get me wrong, it’s great in terms of the consequences for your actions but fuck... That talk about principles with Johnny hurt. Especially because I play a street kid and like Johnny, my V hates Arasaka. So me doing that ending and Johnny saying he felt betrayed, really hit me.

Edit: Actually everything after 1:19 is male voice. The original male voice "Never fade away" is rock song, I hate rock. Female "Never fade away" is best but this one has male-female voices mixed which makes it unique.
Just to make it sure, before 1:19 is female voice, after 1:19 is male voice. And that's why I like this very short version the most.

After a year & patch 1.5 I finally decided to play this game & my fucking gawd tis the 1st time a game affected me so fucking deeply. I'd just finished my 1st play through w/ no game breaking bugs. I somehow got the Path to Glory ending w/c I didn't quite like, what w/ Judy leaving my V then V going alone to dead space away from her chooms for a small chance of getting fixed(as hinted by Mr. Blue Eyes). But I do believe that either genius Judy or someone or something in Crystal Palace can save V. I hope these'll be the in dlc 🥲

Possibly the most Cyberpunk ending, because Night City never changes. The corporations always have all the power and always will.
Even in the endings where V 'wins', V essentially gives Arasaka the equivalent of a bug bite.
It's like Wolfram & Hart from Angel, these corps are so overwhelmingly powerful that they cannot be defeated, the most anyone can do is slow them down, give them a temporary setback.
But fighting evil is always worthwhile, even if it's a losing battle. In LOTR, Frodo eventually loses his fight with evil and gives in to The One Ring, but his journey and resistance to it until then had already set up it's destruction.
Evil is inherently self-destructive. Let Arasaka have enough rope and it'll hang itself. It's currently gearing up for another Corpo War with Militech, who have the NUSA and Night Corp onside.
That's why I always chose the Star ending. Slow Arasaka down right when they can't afford a set-back, just as the 5th Corpo War is about to kick off.

for my first playthrough I went in with the survive at any cost mentality... i didn't think the price would be my soul
The best ending possible really, nobody else pays for your mistakes, only you, as it should be in the game and in real life.
