In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don't know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I'm raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. back in the day we did have you tube, ( heck we didn't have microwave's or cell phones), we started motorcycle touring/Camping back in the late 70's ( you just lucked out being born in this time period)

Beware of the Weka - they steal anything not nailed down, particularly fond of shiny objects. Great episode, nice to see my childhood home 😊
I think you mean the Kea alpine parrot. Very clever, curious and extremely naughty bird of ours. Like they grow into a forever teenager that takes everything without asking. Modify a perfectly functioning car and just pull it apart for no good reason. 😂 Weka might be naughty too hanging out with Kea.
@@AilsaPehi Kea are destructive, Weka are thieves. I grew up with both of them. Weka are particularly fond of cutlery and shoes.

I missed places not because of ignorance but simply because I didn't know about them. And because in my limited time on the Island was not possible to see it all.

Your friend made a motorcycle cookbook, which is cool. Oceans of sheep used to cross and block the roads where I grew up. Please don't retire to NZ quite yet, as tempting as it may be. :) Quiet and beautiful countryside.
