I'm planning on sharing videos in which I show you my typical work-week as a photographer. I will give you tips & tricks concerning photography, photo shoots, backdrops, studio props, camera settings (iso, aperture, shutter speed, white balance), photoshoot outfits, photoshoot make-up etc.

IMPORTANT
If you are interested in photographing newborn babies yourself I would highly recommend you to first learn about photography in general. Master you camera, photograph in the Manual mode, learn about aperture, iso, shutter speed, white balance, light and composition. Take photos of your friends (adults or very patient older kids) and make sure you don't have to think about your camera anymore when photographing babies. Learn about editing as well. Please, don't experiment photographing Newborn babies without training. Attend a workshop by an experienced and professional photographer with an expertise in Newborn Photography. Learn about the anatomy of babies and invest in good quality cameras, lenses and props. Babies are extremely vulnerable and small and their safety and comfort should be your highest priority. Start with simple poses and make sure you know and understand that many 'pinterest poses' are composites. Please, don't try this at home. If you want beautiful photos of your own Newborn Baby, I highly recommend you to hire a professional and experienced photographer who is trained and specialised in Newborn Photography.

Hi Fenna! Im a big fan of your work! I notice you fill the tub before the session begins. What temp of water do you fill it with so it isn’t cold by the time the baby sits in it? Thank you!
The last few years I started to fill it up seconds before the baby gets in, this way I also have more bubbles :) I guess in this video from a while ago I just did it by feeling the water and made sure it was pretty hot

Thank you. I usually have my shutter speed at 1/200 and my iso whatever is needed to have enough light in my pics. Usually around iso 500/640
I love watching your videos thank you for all your tips all the time. As a photographer , What would you do if a customer is not happy with the pictures. The reason I'm asking it's because we got pictures of my 3 kids me and my husband and they were blurry and they said that's the best we can do, what will you do.
If the customer is not happy, because the photos are technically not right (for example blurry) I would reshoot or refund. Personally I would never put images in a gallery which are blurry. Professional pictures should be sharp (usually the focus is on the eyes or with closed eyes, the eye lashes) and if a 'photographer' can't deliver sharp images, I would tell them to keep practicing before offering shoots. Maybe the images were taken with a slow shutter speed, but even in low light situations pictures should be able to be sharp (e.g. larger aperture or higher iso)

Hi Fenna, I found this really interesting as I am looking to style my cake smashes with more neutral and natural touches. I was wondering, between the portraits before the cake, the actual cake smash and the bath tub shots, how many photos do you end up with to show parents?
