Here's some of the items I use or a regular basis:
- camera's Nikon D750 and Nikon D610
- lens Nikkor 24-70mm F2.8 for studio work
- lens Tamron 90mm F/2.8 MACRO VC for Macro shots (baby details and wedding rings for example)

I'm planning on sharing videos in which I show you my typical work-week as a photographer. I will give you tips & tricks concerning photography, photo shoots, backdrops, studio props, camera settings (iso, aperture, shutter speed, white balance), photoshoot outfits, photoshoot make-up etc.

IMPORTANT
If you are interested in photographing newborn babies yourself I would highly recommend you to first learn about photography in general. Master you camera, photograph in the Manual mode, learn about aperture, iso, shutter speed, white balance, light and composition. Take photos of your friends (adults or very patient older kids) and make sure you don't have to think about your camera anymore when photographing babies. Learn about editing as well. Please, don't experiment photographing Newborn babies without training. Attend a workshop by an experienced and professional photographer with an expertise in Newborn Photography. Learn about the anatomy of babies and invest in good quality cameras, lenses and props. Babies are extremely vulnerable and small and their safety and comfort should be your highest priority. Start with simple poses and make sure you know and understand that many 'pinterest poses' are composites. Please, don't try this at home. If you want beautiful photos of your own Newborn Baby, I highly recommend you to hire a professional and experienced photographer who is trained and specialised in Newborn Photography.

Thank you for another GREAT video Fenna. I agree. Baby feet are the cutest. One day my 10 year old niece was messing with my phone and I was complaining that I was almost out of storage. She started looking at all of the pictures in it. I had taken pictures of just my baby granddaughter's feet. She said "Aunt Val, do you really need all of these get pictures?" YES! They are all cute! 😂😂

Love your channel so much you really help give so much helpful info. I was wondering if you already have or would consider a video on what type of packages to offer. Do you offer package? Like when you do these photos and then as a bonus of siblings or family do you use those to upsell? Or do you have a flat rate and it includes so many shots and that’s it. Any info on this type would be helpful. Let me know if you already have that would be awesome! Oh and last question I know there was a video you spoke about cool peg board type photos that clicked into Something... I can’t find that video again and trying to find where I could order those in the US. Could you tell me where to get those or what those are called?

How do you store your vinyl Backdrops? Do they wrinkle? and if they do how do you fix them? also Do you use Lightroom or photoshop? It would be great if you could do a video about that. Thank you so much for your compliments. I store the backdrops rolled up on cardboard tubes (they actually ship them on these tubes). Most of them are stored in a corner in my studio standing up. I can also lay them flat behind my backdrop system. This way they don't wrinkle. I use photoshop!

What is your canera setting when shooting a baby? manual or auto ? the kids tend to move a lot sometimes and its hard to have them on focus

Photographing newborns is a very different and specialist skillset; if you're skilled enough to be shooting newborns I don't think you'd need to ask this question.
I hope you don't take it the wrong way, it's just not good to jump into taking newborn photos and posing them without proper training 🙏
My suggestion would be to find a local person who can train you, or at least take a course online, and also get a posing doll to practice on first.

I think I need to get a backdrop similar to yours. I use paper and had to bin a very large section today after a cake smash and bath session :( Tricky to find in the UK though!
Those vinyl backdrops are expensive, but it's a good investment over time.
What you can also do is use some type of clear glass over your paper backdrop. I haven’t done it because I don’t know exactly what type of glass it is. But I’ve seen many photographers do t.
I is called perspex over in the uk it is plastic sheeting....I worry if a little one slips on it though?

I have a video already about these backdrops and in my 'favorites' videos I share about props as well. When I get a new backdrop I will review them in new videos. One coming up soon!

No, at this moment I don't. However, when school starts again, I'll be photographing Mondays-Fridays, with maybe 1 or 2 shoots on Saturdays. Sunday will be my off-day again.

What if the parents don't want all "must-have" photos? They choose the photos or you, or?
The parents choose their photos from the gallery. Usually I have between 25 and 35 unique and edited pictures in the gallery to chose from!
