Thank you so much for that feedback! My goal is to provide as much value in a short period of time (as short as possible at least) instead of doing a vlog style video, which I feel is its own thing. I just have zero interest in putting on a mic and talking about my food while I’m eating 😂 especially while traveling with my family/2 children. This is what’s doable for me at the moment so I’m glad it’s resonating! Please give me a subscribe and I’ll be posting more videos soon! 🙌🫶
I think seeing so much delicious food made me hungry. I like that they have captured the essence of us Mexicans so that people in other countries know that they can visit us whenever they want, Mexico is a huge country but there's good infrastructure to travel in all directions and it isn't expensive. regards Czech-Mexican 🇲🇽🇨🇿
Thank you so much for the positive feedback! Really appreciate that. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 I love Mexico and the Mexican people and want to do my best to share the culture through the food. ❤️
Thank you so much Lisa!! That was my goal, to pack as much value into one video as possible. More like a visual guide instead of a vlog where I make you watch me eat. 😂 Glad you liked it, enjoy your trip!! I’m jealous
I will be in Mexico City in April as well. A tip is to take the cable cars over Mexico City. There are 3 with the longest 14 KM. I had thought of a hot air balloon ride but this is even better and cost only about $2. Try the electric assist peddle taxis. Half the cost and gets you places much faster. Lots of great museums. Want nice cheap hotels try places like Doctores'. Tram runs to Distric Historica for 5 peson. And in my case the bus is free. Though buses can get crowded. On most public transit there are women only areas.
See, this is how all travel bloggers should make their videos. Limited voice narrating, the important stuff mentioned in the subtitles, and footage that never lingers and gets straight to the point. Beautifully done, guys!
Thank you so much for appreciating the style of my videos! I just want to pack as much value as possible into the videos and create a sort of visual guide for people to reference. It’s very different than a food “blog” style video but I think it’s more valuable because I’m able to provide a lot more recommendations this way and even show you what I got at each spot! Thanks for watching!
That means a lot, thank you so much! I watched almost every other video on RUclips before I went there with the hopes that I could provide some unique insight and the most value possible in my video!
Thank for displaying what Mexico City has to offer when it comes to food. A lot of the bloggers only go to small shops or boutique like restaurants that do not make justice for the real food. Those places typically offer a variety that’s more appealing to white Americans or Europeans.
Thanks for the kind words! That was my goal. I always try to seek out the most authentic places and rely heavily upon the suggestions of locals to do so. 🙏🙏
Thank you so much! What about the video did you like the most? I love feedback from people so that I can implement more things that people like in future videos.
Gracias! My favorite places to eat are food stalls and markets but I also wanted to try some of the great restaurants of Mexico City! I loved everything I tried.
Thanks!! It’s so hard to say what are the “best” restaurants, it would take you a lifetime to eat through all of the options in DF. But these are all some amazing eats and many of them are regarded as the “best” by many of the chefs and people I spoke to during my two weeks down there.
Indeed! It would take a lifetime to eat through the city. This is just a smallllll start to get people on the right path and try some authentic food of DF! Glad you liked the video. 🙏🏼
As a Mexican I absolutely love this video. I think this guy really did his research and I love the picture… i would much prefer hear a narration over music because I love the sounds of the city but also can’t focus on the food because I’m trying to pause and read 😂
Thank you for the kind words and the feedback! I am still trying to dial in exactly what I want these videos to be like and I have narrated my most recent videos so there is less reading required. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to leave a nice comment with constructive feedback! 🙏🏼
Also to your point, I probably did 20 hours of research before our trip! 😅 There’s so much bad recommendations out there so I had to reach out to a few local chefs and restaurants to get their feedback and favorite spots as well.
Got all of them tagged in my highlight reel here on IG along with what I ordered. 👉instagram.com/s/aGlnaGxpZ2h0OjE3ODU4NTQ1ODkyNzQ5NTAx?igshid=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
@@dankeats I saw a restaurant on Maderia Aveneda near the Government Plaza. But may be a one day a week thing as I did not see it again. Also near the Old Church on Maderia I met an old women with both legs amputated at the hip and her left arm amputated at the shoulder. Yet she was out on an electric skateboard selling embroidered masks and leather and bead jewelry. f I can locate her again, I have 50,000 Pesos so she can have a better mobility device. My dad was a WWII Amputee from WWII. Left leg at the hip. So she strikes me with courage like I have never seen before. Unbelievably happy as well
This is a curated list of my top recommendations after hours and hours of research, talking with locals including some of the best chefs in the city, and my own experience eating 3 meals a day out in the city over the course of 15 days. I feel like it’s a waste to record myself (or watch others) eating the food and saying it tastes good. Instead I tell you where to go and what to order and that is my “review” of the food. I packed a ton of recommendations into one video this way instead of making you watch me eat every dish and say “mmm this is so f****** good” like I would’ve after every bite. 😂
I’ve lived in the states for 34 years of my life and have overeaten many times off crap food and never once have I pissed out of my ass for 16 days straight after doing so. Different ballgame sir…gonna have to respectfully disagree. Even Mexican locals will tell you which spots to avoid and tell you which spots are “clean”. It’s no secret.
I didn’t find anyone to be judgmental like that at all while we were there, plus most smaller places like the taquerias only have one beer option anyways, so I’m drinking whatever they give me when I ask for a cerveza. 🍺
@@dankeats Everyone who knows beer knows clear bottles will skunk the hops. And that gives the taste of a dirty sock. No they won't laugh in your face but rampant they say how Americans are suckers for Corona. Mexican export most as they won't drink it. Mexico has some very good beers though. I have lived in Panama, Ecuador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica nearly 14 years with 1 month or longer trips to Mexico twice a year. Of all places Costa Rica is most friendly and polite. But all false. Mexico the friendly and polite is genuine. By the way I craft brewed beer for over 50 years. And brewed beer in the US 30 years ago and offered $200 a gallon. Never sold it as that would have been illegal, plus even giving people beer they never returned my 1 liter flippy top bottles. Heck I ever made Beer in Saudi Arabia Alcoholic as well as brewed wine. Resorting to the use of bread years as any other was unobtainable.
@@dankeats Pacifica and Modelo Negra are a couple good choices. Ever the sight of Corona in a bottle makes me ill. Though in a can or on tap, it is a decent beer.
@@dankeats Good choices. Likely you would spit our Corona if you tried it. But advise against it. Green glass works too but bot as good as brown. And best of all is draft in a barrel. But seldom seen as the taps, valves and setup costs too much and the beer should be used within 10 days. So such as an Irish or British Pub in Mexico City is the best bet for finding that.
1) 😂 I went to Jalisco and had birria de res, so shut the hell up.
