NetherRealm is so dumb, they can’t even work within their own story. Bi Han supposedly killed his father. Make his father Noob Saibot in this game! You still get Kuai Liang trying to save him and a way for Sub Zero to truly look in the mirror at what he’s done. The story overall sucks but there is some real possibilities in MK1. It’s mind boggling they can’t figure it out.
They even genderswap a Dragon 🤣🤣🤣🤣 only in the west, 7th place at Evo wonder why 😪😴🤦🏻💩

People like Noob Saibot as the all black shadow ninja with spectral/doppelganger powers, not some DLC skin with whatever the fuck a "chaos" moveset is. I've never seen a company fumble so hard something that is so easy. Capcom, Namco, SNK, ArcSys, every single one of them understand how to deliver the character. NRS is like making a wish to Calypso at the end of Twisted Metal and getting the last thing you'd want.

And as always, this DLC will not save MK1. Simply because they do not appeal to their core audience. They appeal to DEI and to those who don't even play them video games. Who does not even care, what the heck is happening in those video games. And yet some people wonder, why MK1 has such a low player numbers. This is why. Because NRS don't care about the actual people who pays money to them. Like, look at what Capcom do. They care. Not just with their Street Fighter 6 game but also with releasing the collections of old games for modern system WITH a lot of improvements. Sure, those collections are pure cash grabs but still, that alone shows you how Capcom cares about their core audience. And what do NRS do in that regard? Nothing! They even gender swap male characters. MALE FRIGGING CHARACTERS! Like, why do you gender swap characters if you can make new ones, or bring back old characters? Like, there is female characters that never saw the light of the day since ages. And I'm talking about characters like Tasia, Jataaka, Kia, Kira, Delia and many others. What's up with them? Why NRS can't bring those female characters back instead of gender swapping male characters? I think I know the answer. Because of the DEI appeal, that's why. And that's disgusting!
Also, by the description of it, if the leak is true, this new story DLC will be just that, a DLC. It will not bring anything new to the table and will continue main story just so that NRS makes more money from trusty so called "fanboys" of the game. That is if these leaks are true. And I'm almost sure that it is true because we all know, in what deep crap gaming industry got itself in to with this DEI stuff. And MK1 is not exception, because Sweet Baby stink works on it behind the scenes.

Ghostface, Conan, and T-1000 are all it coming to Mortal Kombat 1 as DLC guest characters at all because they are lame and unrelated to the violent superhero genre. Besides, they’re just random characters. So, the guest character theme for Mortal Kombat 1 is gonna be comic book antiheroes who are from streaming series (Amazon Prime Video and HBO Ma).
The lore/setting/classic chatacters was what made me return to MK time after time. It has been in decline for a long time. But this game is shaping up to be The Last Jedi for Mortal Kombat. 😂😂😂

Although this bothers me a great deal, I have already abandoned this game and will just continue to play the older visions. I will continue to stay updated, but unless something changes for the better, then there is just no point for me to keep wasting my time and money on this.

My hope/ idea was bi Han died in the new story and sector brought him back to life with cyber Lin kuei and his shadow partner was like a AI construct, he would be noob saibot
what i think is going to happen in the dlc is sub zero will kill hanzo, and then bi han will be killed (idk the reason). then kuai liang is going to take up the sub zero mantle to try and restore its honor, then quan chi will resurrect hanzo as scorpion and make him believe that kuai liang killed him bc kuai is the new sub zero.
This doesn’t feel like mortal kombat anymore. Kaui Lang becomes scorpion instead of bein tundra. Bi Han at least is sub zero, but for sum reason evil without the netherealm. Smoke is barely used when he been the character everyone wanted. No Hanzo, but him as a kid. Y do we have mkx Takeda when he not even supposed to be born yet & not have the original Takeda that would’ve been born & founder of the Shi Ry Ryu. Cyrax & Sektor genderswap now. Jax & Sonya kameos. Lui kang & netherealm what have you done💔💔

I think I share the opinion of many. Mk1 story up till chapter 11 ish something like that was good. BUT as dob as they brought multiverse crap the story became bland and stale.

Yes, it does. People want more actual female characters in the game to be playable. I've seen people say they want Jade, and Sareena to be fully playable. Instead of actually doing that, and putting more female characters in the game, NRS decides to just gender swap Sektor and Cyrax. That just feels so lazy to do. Those characters are already well known and established in the games universe. Why change who they are? Why not make a new female character? Probably because NRS doesn't want to do the work.

I dont like all the retcons NRS has been making with the lore. It feels lazy and unnecessary to make the changes they're making. They at least made Sindels story better in Mortal Kombat 1 from Mortal Kombat 11. Now they went and messed it up by making more stupid changes to the lore. Who wants Sektor and Cyrax to be females? That is a big change to those characters and the lore. I don't care that it's a new timeline. That doesn't justify NRS making stupid changes nobody wanted. I actually did like the story for Mortal Kombat 1, but these changes that they are making for the aftermath expansion I am not a fan of.
