Could the min-value of Z be set using commands or on the printer, or do I have to upload a new firmware for that?
Where can I find the latest firmware? I have: Marlin 1.0.0 from 3/1 2018

Im not sure why but no matter what I do I can never get this printer to level no matter how close I make it with the m666 commands when I go to prints it's always to high of the build plate

How do you get the old value?

If you run M501 before doing the M666. it will show the current/old value.
