dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the new series on Instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf for the last few months :)
I think I had this Toy when I was younger! I remember the yellow car and the Truck, aswell as the brown car. Damn that brings back memorys :) Thank you!
Nice review, and the reason I ordered one myself. I had this set as a kid and have a lot of fond memories of it. I would have purchased an official reissue had Takara/Hasbro released one, but they did not (yet). If they do in the future I will of course buy it and support them. The thing is that I am re-collecting G1 again and I want NEW original G1 figures. I refuse to buy some sloppy mess of a Menasor on ebay that has been used and abused for decades for a hundred or more dollars. I want a brand new copy and I want to be the one to apply the stickers. This is where the KO/reissue fits the bill perfectly for me.
Oh yeah. I like to think OR (Offroad) as a klepto and BJ (Blackjack (poor initials)) as the one sane guy who keeps everyone from killing each other. Don't judge me.
Wish someone would make them bigger and EXACTLY like their G1 cartoon counterparts. The vehicles are spot on, but the size, robots and Menasor are different. Still my favorite team though. Was so awe when I was a kid when five robots merged to form one. "The Key to Vector Sigma Parts 1 & 2" are still my favorite episodes.
urgh...I remember having Menasor as a kid growing up. And while looking back I feel nostalgic about him, he never really struck me as a strong combiner. Maybe I have weird taste but I always though Bruticus, Computron, Piranacon, and Defensor were the best of g1. Regardless though it was still a great review. And I have looked at KO products and this soothed some of my fears. KO Defensor, HERE I COME!!
Dragstrip big gun and pistol are brown color, Breakdown big gun and his pistol are blue, Dead End big gun have twinks cannons with ++ at the end, and Dead End pistol is the most large of tinny pistols, finally the Wild Rider big gun and pistol is black with telescopic sight over cannon. About transformation of motormaster they legs are spread for more stability when can stand straight in robot mode. Five Stunticons and all his accesories and box art looks very nice no matters how many decades pass they looks greatful for every collectionist love them!
If you didn't say that this is a knock off, I would have believed it was the original set, because of how good the quality is. Awesome review my friend as always. Gotta love their background stories though.
Daniel Wi, yeah, it's no coincidence. And it DEFINITELY didn't tip over in the box, because it was knocked over to the styrofoam and it mysteriously moves forward. I guess the toy came to life !
check on Ebay, that is where I bought the G1 Menasor giftset from. That is where I intend to pick up the G1 Superion/Aerialbot set. I highly recommend you check around on Ebay.
Your descriptions of the characters come straight from Transformers wiki but way fun. And with breakdown, in the cartoon he's Menasor's right leg, so imagine how paranoid he must be knowing that he has to work together with WILDRIDER holding the whole thing up. I can't imagine him being in a relaxed state.
Good review to start with, nice bio's as well, pretty accurate, you made one mistake with the weapons though. I have the original G1 set + display ( bought in 1986) and the weapons you used for Dead End and Dragstrip should be the other way around, Meaning the red weaponset is actually for Dragstrip and the second black set for Dead End. Now you have 2 black sets. The smooth one is Dead End and the more "wild" one is for Wildrider. Also the episode you are refering to is "Key to Vector Sigma"
I ordered this remake of the G1 Stunticons. They are of a good quality plastic, as you indicated. I only had Wildrider as a youngster, lol. Sometime in the nearer future, I will pick up the remake of the G1 Aerialbots/Superion! G1 forever!
Micromaster (and monstructor) is G2 not G1, same cartoons but seen through the cube, also was made to place the cartoons in the same continuum with the comics, hence new toys and lines ( like micromasters) came out follwed directly by the Japanese Headmasters after G1 Season 4.. Hasbro was meaning to do this but they saw no real profit in it. The Japanese did and later it was dubbed by several 3th company parties for the UK and USA.
Wildrider's a Ferrari 308 GTB, Breakdown's a Lamborghini Countach, Drag Strip's a Tyrrell P34 race car, Dead End's a Porsche 928 and Motormaster's a Kenworth K100 Aerodyne Sleeper Tractor Trailer
you do great reviews man... i dont know why people try to diss you. i like the lengthened informative kind of reviews not some 4 minute bullcrap. ;) keep up the good work man
@@jackson2531 Yea, you're right. The year says 1985 on them. It was my Insecticons I got mixed up with years that say 1983. Which I believe were also released around the same time as the Stunticons. Either way, time flies.
Love this figures..... i know there not the most exiting robots , but there great desktop toys you just fiddle with these al the time... there dangerous , I have some minibots and loose combiner figs on my desk and when i have to do something important...( bills /work etc) i just sit all day fiddling with these figures
its amazing that u got all the stunticons, every time i see a ko set it has two technobots in sted of all the stunticons. then again if you got the ko terrorcons you got the other technobot limbs. but i have yet to see the techno leader with the missing cons. where did u find these guys they would go great with my ko protectobots and constructicons
He's supost to be the same size as Devastator and Bruticus in the show but the toys make him look like a miget combiner. Without the upgrade kids G1 Devastator dwarfs him and with them he just towers over the combiner. Someone needs to make a oversized version of him, maybe double sized to put him back up to scale with his fellow Deceptacon combiners. Anyway, just my opponion. Another very entertaining review.
I bought KO versions of the Insecticons, and I swear, I can't find a single difference between the KO packaging and the actual G1 packaging. And I analyzed everything down to the copyright information at the bottom of the back of the box. KO packaging is about exact as exact can get! As for the figures themselves, well, that's a totally different story. As for the Stunticons themselves, I would love to get my hands on an authentic G1 version, but settled recently for a Combiner Wars version, which isn't bad.
Motormaster's "base mode" isn't actually all that lame since it can be connected to Metroplex, Metrotitan, or Trypticon to expand those fig's city modes. Thanks for the nice review, tho
Do the rub symbols deteriorate over time? I have a bunch of G1 figures, and no matter how much I rub the symbol, the Decepticon or Autobot symbol barely appears if at all.
I'm wondering, how does the plastic feel? Like...that may be an odd question. But does it feel cheap? Or is it almost or even normal quality? Its a weird pet peeve I guess but when a toy feels cheap, even when it doesn't look it, it bothers me. And I really want this guy
I would love to see all the G1 Combiners get a decent Classics/Universe/Generations remake, with combination. The Stunticons in particular are long overdue for a remake in full.
I bought this set. The first time I tried to put them together to form Menasor, Wild Rider's head snapped right off. I was barely putting any pressure on it, and it snapped clean off. The whole point of buying it was to form Menasor----which I now cannot do.
I am a tad confused, what makes this a "knock-off" from the "original" G1 toys? Back in the day, I bought each Stunticon separately, so I didn't obtain the "gift box set".
You have some of the weapons mixed up. The gun which you put in the hand of Wildrider actually belongs to Dead End. The purple cannon and gun which you gave to Dead End belong to Drag Strip. The black cannon which you put on Drag Strip belongs to Dead End.
love the funny stuff you add to your review, "ooOO look at me i'm driving around" lol. i like the vehicle mods pretty cool, it sucks that he is so small when combined :( but anyways good review :D
thanks. really thinking of getting this. I've always wanted the boxset to go with my Arialbot set...afraid of getting a KO anyway (at a higher price) so probably will just go with one that's states as being a KO....so appreciate this review.
@optibotimus Is the fades, I think a straightforward cut without the fades could have worked better, at least that is how I see it. Anyway, since you say it was getting too long, you probably didn't have a choice, ncie review none the less.
to anyone who bought this: how's the sticker quality? I live in Nevada and due to the heat some of my encore stickers fall off (especially small ones, which these seem to have many) which is why I leave most of the stickers off of my stuff. if it matters I'm just a collector and I have no desire to play with them.
I have the original G1 Drag Strip and it came with Deadend´s rear weapon. Meaby that's wy it's loose. Sorry for my english, I'm from Argentina. Nice review

@TheShardFenix Hey there to comment on your comment I will tell you this. The Defensor KO set is actually pretty good. They are all very nicely done for something that is a KO. Now with that being said. I would highly recommend it if you really want it. Menasor didn't really thrill me too much. It was quite disappointing. That is why I sold mine. Get Defensor!!! Now in regards to Menasor Ill say its might be good for parts. The box is pretty nice though.
Breakdown and Red Alert have a lot in common... especially with the paranoia and vehicle alt modes... And did Motor Master ever claim his title of "King of the Road"? And being Menasaur must give them all a terrible headache...
WildRider: Ferrari 308 GTS
Dead end: Porsche 928 GT
Dragstrip: Tyrrell P34.
Breakdown: Lamborghini Countach LP500.
Motormaster: Kenworth K100.
Good iq
dont know if anyone gives a damn but if you guys are stoned like me atm then you can watch pretty much all the new series on Instaflixxer. I've been watching with my gf for the last few months :)
@Bruno Carter yup, have been using instaflixxer for since december myself :)
GTS? I think
funny thing about Dragstrip is Megatron loathes him more than he does Starscream. Now that's saying something
I think I had this Toy when I was younger! I remember the yellow car and the Truck, aswell as the brown car. Damn that brings back memorys :)

They should make a Platinum reissue 2 pack with Menasor and Supirion.
+MB Craft Gaming Yeah, think so too. They should!
new settlers
Make a reissue with all opposing combiners
Bruticus and Defensor
Superion and Menasor
Computron and Herbumaner
MB Craft Gaming I
MB Craft Gaming I
hello I am the 12 year old kid that likes old stuff and collecting stuff instead of new stuff
So WR is a psychopath, BR is paranoid, DR is a sore winner, DE is emo, and MM is a brute.
What a bunch.
And Menasor is an idiot
Oh yeah. I like to think OR (Offroad) as a klepto and BJ (Blackjack (poor initials)) as the one sane guy who keeps everyone from killing each other.
Don't judge me.
TFDUDE13 what is DR ??? just say the names
DR is drag strip
then it would be ds cause drag strip
Dead End: If we sacrifice our Energon, we're doomed.
Breakdown: And if we dont, we're doomed too.
Dead End: Face it. We're doomed.
Ah, "The Key to Vector Sigma Parts 1 & 2", two of my favorite episodes from Season 2.
Wish someone would make them bigger and EXACTLY like their G1 cartoon counterparts. The vehicles are spot on, but the size, robots and Menasor are different. Still my favorite team though. I just saw a car move in the box by itself.
Really, who?
I forgot to be honest with you. No one has been sending replies to this comment but I saw one of the cars move.
+Dakota Woloschuk I think it was drag strip
Daniel Wi, yeah, it's no coincidence. And it DEFINITELY didn't tip over in the box, because it was knocked over to the styrofoam and it mysteriously moves forward. I guess the toy came to life !
check on Ebay, that is where I bought the G1 Menasor giftset from. That is where I intend to pick up the G1 Superion/Aerialbot set. I highly recommend you check around on Ebay.
red alert and breakdown-I can see it so well, it blinds me. xD
Your descriptions of the characters come straight from Transformers wiki but way fun.

I had dead end as a kid, and always wondered why he had that giant block coming out of him. Never knew he combined with other things.

In the vehicle modes, you gave Dead End Dragstrip's cannons and vice versa.
the purpose for their base modes was that you could connect them to tryptocon or metroplex
This is the best looking g1 combiner. By far the coolest. Even if he is the smallest
Wildrider's a Ferrari 308 GTB, Breakdown's a Lamborghini Countach, Drag Strip's a Tyrrell P34 race car, Dead End's a Porsche 928 and Motormaster's a Kenworth K100 Aerodyne Sleeper Tractor Trailer
you do great reviews man... i dont know why people try to diss you. i like the lengthened informative kind of reviews not some 4 minute bullcrap. ;) keep up the good work man
I have the original 1983 Menasor/ Stunticons. They were always my favorite next to Devastator/ Constructicons.
I apologize, but I think it was either 1985 or 1986 that the Stunticons were created.
@@jackson2531 Yea, you're right. The year says 1985 on them. It was my Insecticons I got mixed up with years that say 1983. Which I believe were also released around the same time as the Stunticons. Either way, time flies.

13:31 : that is Dragstrip's pistol, not Deadend's.
I'm glad it looks like Motormaster and Optimus share a mold in combiner wars. It makes more sense.
Always wanted it. Now i'm pondering about this version.
The purple "but" gun goes to dragstrip that's why it maybe was loose on deadend
its amazing that u got all the stunticons, every time i see a ko set it has two technobots in sted of all the stunticons. then again if you got the ko terrorcons you got the other technobot limbs. but i have yet to see the techno leader with the missing cons. where did u find these guys they would go great with my ko protectobots and constructicons
Amazing Review on the Stunticons & I just Love Dead End's Bio cause I feel so Bad for Him XD
The purple guns that were with dead-end actually go to dragstrip
Optibtimus did Takara make a reissue of Menasor?
He's supost to be the same size as Devastator and Bruticus in the show but the toys make him look like a miget combiner. 13:30 That gun belongs to Dragstrip. It's Deadend's gun that is missing.
That was Dragstrip's gun that you threw away!
Please review Bruticus!
Even if you said you didn't encourage us to buy KOs... This is the reason why I got my KO Terrorcons.
The Terrorcons are one of my favorite combiners, good purchase!
FYI: It looks like you mixed up DeadEnds and Dragstrips weapons. The Purple/grape colored weapons go with Dragstrip.
Wonder if Crazy Devy will make upgrade parts for this? ;)
Question: what company released this KO and did u find any of the differences between this and the orignal?
I bought KO versions of the Insecticons, and I swear, I can't find a single difference between the KO packaging and the actual G1 packaging. +6672rock I bout an anniversery version of them with blaster in toys r us
You have Dragstrip and Deadends weapons switched. I only know this because I only have the original G1 Dragstrip.
Also the "car cannons" as well.
Motormaster's "base mode" isn't actually all that lame since it can be connected to Metroplex, Metrotitan, or Trypticon to expand those fig's city modes.
Thanks for the nice review, tho
You found KOs with die-cast?? Awesome, I may be interested, how much was it?
I'm interested in getting one of these sets. Where can I get one ?
Do the rub symbols deteriorate over time? I have a bunch of G1 figures, and no matter how much I rub the symbol, the Decepticon or Autobot symbol barely appears if at all.
I'm wondering, how does the plastic feel? Like...that may be an odd question. But does it feel cheap? Or is it almost or even normal quality?
Its a weird pet peeve I guess but when a toy feels cheap, even when it doesn't look it, it bothers me. And I really want this guy
I now can tell the difference between original and ko motor master but whats the difference between the cars original and ko.?
@optibotimus You didn't get this off KOToys.com?
I would love to see all the G1 Combiners get a decent Classics/Universe/Generations remake, with combination. The Stunticons in particular are long overdue for a remake in full.
Great review Paul, going to review my g1 Menasor tomorrow and wanted to hear your thoughts.
hey I just orderd the ko defensor with protectobots its a great set
could u possibly give me the link to where u bought this?
i would really appreciated it!
I bought this set. The first time I tried to put them together to form Menasor, Wild Rider's head snapped right off. I was barely putting any pressure on it, and it snapped clean off. The whole point of buying it was to form Menasor----which I now cannot do.
The prediction of Off-Road's coming
I am the only 10 year old who gives a slag about G1. You just can't beat the classics. Nowadays, Transformers fall apart if you look at them funny.
I was a fan of g1 when I was 7........ Get on my level lol
Lance Robson lol
I'm ten and I care A TON about my G1s because I got then off of eBay
Haha I've got you beat I was the only ten year old who cares I'm 14 now
Whatever I have a whole collection of which ones I wanted from ebay
I am a tad confused, what makes this a "knock-off" from the "original" G1 toys? Back in the day, I bought each Stunticon separately, so I didn't obtain the "gift box set".
You have some of the weapons mixed up. The gun which you put in the hand of Wildrider actually belongs to Dead End. The purple cannon and gun which you gave to Dead End belong to Drag Strip. The black cannon which you put on Drag Strip belongs to Dead End.
Wonder if Motor master would work well with Scrotus
Awesome, thanks for the review. I always wondered if this was as good as it looked in the pics.
@nycteris78 "Deadends" guns both the hand one and the rear one is really dragstrips. Dragstrip is the only one with purplish red guns
the resin wiy thay put the tab on the side is if little kids dot no what side to put it on.
love the funny stuff you add to your review, "ooOO look at me i'm driving around" lol. i like the vehicle mods pretty cool, it sucks that he is so small when combined :( but anyways good review :D
thanks. really thinking of getting this.
"Dragstrip, Dead End you weaklings!, we are conquering the planet but you can't pull a sword on the road?!"
Could i get this figure from Chinatown NY? If so, how much do you think it would cost?
Weren't the Stunticons indestructible when in vehicle mode?
I just bought a ko superion that said it was a reissue but I knew it wasn't hopefully it will be like the original
if this is a knock off how do you tell they difference between the real version and ko version.
In truck mode he's smaller than the other Stunticons if you only look at the main truck part
to anyone who bought this: how's the sticker quality? I live in Nevada and due to the heat some of my encore stickers fall off (especially small ones, which these seem to have many) which is why I leave most of the stickers off of my stuff. if it matters I'm just a collector and I have no desire to play with them.
I still have my menasor from when I was a kid. I might have lost some of the guns and accessories.
Hair spray for loose joints works well.
these are pretty nice ko....thought your devastator was a ko too?
I have the original G1 Drag Strip and it came with Deadend´s rear weapon. Meaby that's wy it's loose.
Sorry for my english, I'm from Argentina.
Nice review
have the ever remade these for a later line?
the purple weapons are for dragstrip and not for deadend
@optibotimus they sell this (and others) at KOtoys.com right?
im wondering if there will be crazy devy upgrade
Had motormaster as a kid but never got my hands on the others, the best and probably most expensive was the original shockwave in about 85 when they were still made of metal,I've seen that thing go for $3000 on eBay.Too bad I didn't keep up with it.
his feet and inlets r metal everything else is plastic. if u order him on Ebay from China in the box with everything that comes with him. except the checklist. he is still metal. it's an exact replica of the orginal g1 lights and sound still work as well
Do you still have them in your collection
I would be interested in a set.
@Kurtieb96
Im curious as well, cant find them on KOtoys.
So this knockoff actually uses the Transformers name on the packaging? One of my fave episodes of the G1 cartoon is when Optimus and a few Autobots masqueraded as the Stunticons and even combined to Menasor thanks to Windcharger's magnetic abilities.
whEN ARE WE GONNA GET LIFE SIZED COMBINERS?
Stunticons is my favorite decepticons combine.
The Stunticons just plain AWESOME.
do they make aftermarket sets for the stunticons
@TheShardFenix Hey there to comment on your comment I will tell you this. The Defensor KO set is actually pretty good. They are all very nicely done for something that is a KO. Now with that being said. I would highly recommend it if you really want it. Menasor didn't really thrill me too much. It was quite disappointing. That is why I sold mine. Get Defensor!!! Now in regards to Menasor Ill say its might be good for parts. The box is pretty nice though.
They should make Motormaster as what they did to Onslaught and Sliverbolt. An Ultra in the Universe line... He would be wicked...
@optibotimus yeah but they're ROBOTS. wudn't they hav guns already built in them? p.s i have not seen the show...ever. so im very confused
what i don,t get is with the decepticons that have car forms can still fly so whats the point
you switched drag strip's and Dead End's cannons
hmm not bad for a ko may have to pick him up
Breakdown and Red Alert have a lot in common... especially with the paranoia and vehicle alt modes... And did Motor Master ever claim his title of "King of the Road"? And being Menasaur must give them all a terrible headache...
well Megatron did rob Motormaster the title by killing Optimus Prime in the movie....
