Classic stuff. G1 figures might not be best for today's standarts but they are surely nostalgic for us older collectors. After all those were out when we were kids.
Um, actually, if you read the comics and watch the show (which I'm sure you have. No disrespect intended) you'll see that Superion and Menasor were rivals with each other, whereas Defensor was the main enemy of Bruticus. Sorry to hav a little bit of a geek-out moment, but I figured I should point that out. Like I said, I'm not trying to be rude. I rather like all your transformers reviews, especially the one with Fortress Maximus. I just figured I should let you know.
I remember as a kid I managed to piece together my Menasor from a Dragstrip, Motormaster, Swindle and 2 others that seems to be knock offs that where roughly 65% die cast metal and one looks like a yellow Breakdown either way they oddly have more possibility in the waist area that ment that as arms they insanely possible, shame I had no combiner parts but hey I got them for mere pennies. that said I really wish they'd do a remake that was up their at least with the devy that Rumble frenzy made.
Generations should make a stunticon 5-pack, only they can't combine. Energon Rodimus-Motormaster Classics prowl- Dead End, Wildrider Energon Prowl- Dragstrip Cybertron Hot Shot- Breakdown The reason they can't combine is because it'd be more likely for hasbro to make the five-pack if they're redecos cuz they're cheaper to make.
@TheRusty26 That's pretty much how I saw it as a kid. And aside for Devastator and Predaking, the other pairs were all opposites of each other. Air vs. Road, Brains/Tech vs. Brawn/Monsters, Combat vs. Rescue. The only ones I ever had trouble pairing off in G1 were Piranacon (Seacons) and Monstructor (Pretender Monsters).
I ordered this set off the KOtoys, and I'm so antsy to get it in the mail. Not that it'll make a huge difference to me, but are those red/pink Decepticon insignias on Motormaster's arms, or is it the lighting? Nothing a little reprolabel won't fix, but I'm just curious. =-).
i think it was Menasor vs. Superion , Computron vs. Abominus , Bruticus vs, Defensor, Predaking vs. Skylynx, Devestator vs Dinobots . I think these guys were each others arch-enemies . Devestator and Predaking were the only combiners that their mortal enemies wasn't a combiner .
my way of the combiners pitting against each other 1. devastator at dinobots 2. bruticus at defensor 3. menasor at superion 4. computron at abominus 5. piranacon at raiden 6. predaking at ...... um, broadside? omega supreme? sky lynx?
personally, i like to think of omega supreme and devastator as arch enemies. The dinobots were also kinda fill that role at times, but with omega and devy's past it seems more fitting to me. that is just my opinion; i am not trying to be rude.
It's nice to see that Motormaster has his factory stickers. The pics on kotoys.com show him without the stripes, and thats what was preventing me from getting this set. Looks like my doubts are gone now - thanks for the review.
@Ramseskun that's the same idea for all of the Scramble City combiners. it was central body part combiner piece. and Limb pieces 1 through 4. But in the show (until RID/Car robots RUination) They attached in the same way on the show and comics.
Motormaster is quite ugly, and thus Meansor is too. Hot Spot makes for a much better torso. Plus First Aid and Blades are thicker, thus their folded down necks are shorter so they are not that far from the torso like Breakdown and Drag Strip.
i got a g1 menasor KO (a real KO) for 3 dollars it broke when i tried to take this drill guy that came as his leg out then again i was 6-7 and i didn't know much about transformers i just saw giant robot with gun
Im surprised you didnt mention Motormasters trailer base thing, it ioens up and has a ramp for the tiny car, not much, but its a neat little "wanna be prime" feature lol
I always paired Devastator with Omega Supreme, Menasor with Superion, Bruticus with Defensor (though I don't think the cartoon ever showed them fight), Sky Lynx with Predaking and Computron with Abominus.
This looks like a great set! They look pretty much spot on to the originals. Are there any noticable differences the original G1 Stunticons and this version ?
where did you get this knock off at.i've been wanting a menasor since i was little, back when i was 10 because he was my favorite bad guy combiner and still is
Been looking at a lot of the reviews basically as I'm looking to get a Scramble City combiner (basically my first full one, as a kid I only ever had Swindle and Fireflight) and saw the Menasor KO set on Ebay - great review! :D
Abominus vs. Computron, Omega Supreme vs. Devastator, Predaking vs. Sky Lynx! That is also the order of equally-matched adversaries in the Transformers canon! Metroplex vs. Trypticon and FM vs. Scorponok!
WILLIE FRANCIS + I am also a G1 fan. Your lineup of adversaries are 100% correct. It seems that no one knows that Menasor is always against Superion. Hence the episodes "The Key To Vector Sigma: Parts 1 & 2". I hope you are enjoying your Stunticon subgroup(which is my favorite combiner)and looking forward to getting The Aerialbots to merge into Superion.
Peaugh, awesome reviews dude! I have this remake set too of G1 Menasor, which I ordered a few weeks ago. I will get the G1 Aerialbot/Superion remake in the near future! G1 forever fan!!!
Are u serious peaugh? I appreciate your imagination. However, you must not have the g1 cartoon collection. Clearly, a two part episode called "The Key to Vector Sigma" introduces the Stunticons-made to fight the Autobots on the road, while Optimus follows suit and creates the Aerialbots-to fight the flying Decepticons. There's my 'good deed for the day'.......
Great review, Peaugh. I like the retro ones just as much as the new stuff. It makes for a nice variety.
i think menasor deserves an update like a FULL COMBINER update like bruticus in fall of cybertron
I have Defensor, and I would like to have Menasor but I only have Motormaster...
Breakdown is left leg & Deadend is right arm of Menasor
Raiden v Devastator
Superion v Menasor
Defensor v Bruticus
Computron v Abominus
Dinobots/Volcanicus v Predaking
Classic stuff. G1 figures might not be best for today's standarts but they are surely nostalgic for us older collectors. After all those were out when we were kids.

I like G1 dragstrip
I remember when these came out i thought the colours were too wacky and unrealistic. If i only knew what was to come! Now i want them :)
superion and menasor are enemies
DEVASTATOR SAYS BRUTICUS IS IDIOT
Bobby Geary actually it's menasor and defensor
I remember as a kid I managed to piece together my Menasor from a Dragstrip, Motormaster, Swindle and 2 others that seems to be knock offs that where roughly 65% die cast metal and one looks like a yellow Breakdown either way they oddly have more possibility in the waist area that ment that as arms they insanely possible, shame I had no combiner parts but hey I got them for mere pennies. that said I really wish they'd do a remake that was up their at least with the devy that Rumble frenzy made.

No it’s:
Raiden and Devastator
Defensor and Menasor
Superion and Bruticus
Computron and Predaking
Sky Lynx and Abominus
i got a g1 menasor KO (a real KO)
for 3 dollars
it broke when i tried to take this drill guy that came as his leg out

wats a gestalt?

Hey Peaugh, I was wondering if you were planning on getting the Fansproject Not-Menasor, and what your opinion on the prototypes were?
@LolAttack2K11 Cause they're the pegs to attach to motormaster. Then they combine
I paired them up the same way. I think mostly that's how the show did it? I alway had Predaking vs Dinobots in my head as well.
My cousin once gave me a KO Dragstrip. He was on my desk so I always played with him instead of doing homework lol!
@Peaugh, Do you rely on King Roy? apparently hes a bamf of a lawyer :O Hes got VHS quality commercials on RUclips!
no its omega supream and devestater, superion and menesor, bruticus and defensor, abonimus and computron
This is Motormaster. He roller-skates on 2 halves of a semi truck. He is now the greatest robot ever.
Been looking at a lot of the reviews basically as I'm looking to get a Scramble City combiner (basically my first full one, as a kid I only ever had Swindle and Fireflight) and saw the Menasor KO set on Ebay - great review! :D
do the rubs really work? I thought you said they were ko how did they get away with that?
wow every time i see these guys in ko one is missing and was replaced with a tecnobot
My only problem is that I would always know its not vintage. The plastic is ususlly better w original the fit the color etc. Great ko review though!
KO Gestalts?? If they make a Liokaiser i'm all over that like a fat kid on cake.
omg this transforemer is old i had this whne im was 5 when i went to HOng kong
KO toys are easily breakable, even they copied perfectly the exact replica. The originals of the classic are very rarely to be found.
I think of the seacons being enameis with the trainbots.
wasn't menasor against superion because they were made at the same time?
My KO came with computron parts... So I might have to get this.
it would actually be:
1. devastator and omega suprme
2.superion and menasor
3.bruticus and defensor
4.predaking and sky lynx
5.computron and abominus
Exactly, my friend.
I think he said socket but it did sound like suck it didn't it
It's gotta be a headache being any of Menasaur's limbs... O_O
Breakdown's a leg, Dead End is the arm!
Abominus vs. Computron, Omega Supreme vs. Devastator, Predaking vs. Sky Lynx! That is also the order of equally-matched adversaries in the Transformers canon! Metroplex vs. Trypticon and FM vs. Scorponok!

hey Peaugh, if you were a combiner, which would you be?
Where can i get this great replica [KO] And how much is it?
there can never be too many robots!
this seems much more stable than the other combiners
Has anyone else bought Transformers from KOTOYS.COM?
I actually clapped when you said " Give him a hand".
the transformer way of saying combiner essentially
wasn't Deadend the left arm ?
@artnandez They were rivals in the cartoon.
didnt predaking have sky lynx as his rival?
well SORRY, but that's how i like to do it
I love peppering in the phrase suck it :)
Know where I can get a set? I love the Stunticons and wouldn't mind picking up a set.
Great review =)
PokelordEX 9 years later his answer was never answered
this arm, suck it?? ... oh, socket! :P
your one of my favoite toy reviewers
They look like new KO transformers
i have the generations drag strip
@billum256 Same.
Its acldic but it looks asome
Three people dont have this set.
you never mentioned Liokaiser
motormaster was always my fav
Peaugh, awesome reviews dude! I have this remake set too of G1 Menasor, which I ordered a few weeks ago. I will get the G1 Aerialbot/Superion remake in the near future! G1 forever fan!!!
nice.
Looks like a very nice KO.
Kinda cheesy, but cool.
wow, Motormaster is stoooopid :)
Horay for retro intros!
I once had devastater
@artnandez kinda of
I definitely agree, blastersteeljaw! With the TF equally paired-up adversaries!!!
great review!

good deed?
Jay Beezy usually in most continuitys menasor and defensor are enemies
SWEET
I think
Blastersteeljaw, you hit the nail on the head
