The master at fixing small engine problems at work. I have a weed eater my husband found on the side of the highway and it is the best darn weed eater I’ve ever had, but I don’t want to pay $200.00 for a tuneup. Only one place in town that will work on it because they said it was a commercial weed eater.
I just don’t see how much difference that would make, maybe I’m wrong.
Pretty knife and back in the shop.
Yeah, I too have crazy hours of sleeping.
Y’all have a blessed day and be safe!

I found a chainsaw at the dump. That was one of my best finds. It had a piece of sawdust in a reed valve. Cleaned it up and it ran great.

Good Sunday morning, my friend. Glad that I can enjoy my first cup of coffee with you. It is a pleasure to see you. Thus, extending a virtual handshake to you. And a "Thank you Lord" that you're feeling better. On another note, Better Half's nephew had your touch with small engines. A gift, IMO. He made it look so easy to get them running to perfection. The ear for it. Bad part is that I never have. I'm sure you can guess who cleaned up my misses.
Hope you and Charly have a blessed Sunday. Enjoy some quality time, on your front porch, if the weather permits. Enjoy the company of all of God's creatures, both large and small.
    Godspeed.

Good morning Lee! It seems like I have a few hours in the morning where I feel good enough to do things. It’s gone by noon though so I’m trying to do as much as I can in the mornings.

The Chinese have made them so cheap that it’s as easy to replace the carb as it is to rebuild them.

The carbs are cheap enough now that it just doesn’t make sense to rebuild them.

Nice weed gobbler repair..did you know that people in Connecticut throw away commercial weed cutters edgers..I have one the guy threw out in front of me at the dump..I snatched it up tuned it up and replaced the fuel filter and gas lines. That was 25 years ago..I still have it and it continues to run..is this what is called "Yankee ingenuity" ? Nice BC special too.

I had a mini bike when I was a kid. The engine came from the dump.

Good job repairing the weed-eater. I have never had any luck with gas powered trimmers. They work ok for a year and from there is is downhill for me. It doesn't seem to matter what make either. lol We use battery powered trimmers and we have a walk behind trimmer that uses a 6hp engine. Phil

It seems like they are designed to fail. Now, some makers don’t even put carb adjustment screws on them, so once the fail, it’s a new carb or new trimmer.

The fuel lines in mine are fine, but the carb has degraded so much that I have to run it on almost full choke. I'm just too lazy to replace the carb 😄
I might put a new carb on order today.

Often, it’s the diaphragm/fuel pump that has a hole n it and won’t pump fuel. They are Pennie’s. Tell me what carb is on it or the make and model of weed eater, and I’ll text you what you need.

I love working on small engines. I would open a shop, but I just can’t have strangers coming around my house.

@bctruck that's how I started. It was out of the shop at my house. That was a mistake! You forfeit any right to privacy when you turn your house into a business!
