It's funny because Kamek just got announced in mk 8 deluxe.
Why aren't characters like Dry Bowser and Gold Mario just alt skins for their respective characters? You could have Peach, Cat Peach, and Pink Gold Peach all under the same character. Heck, it should just be Metal peach, like Metal Mario, and then you choose your metal color like choosing a Yoshi color.
I've always thought the same thing
Gold Mario is paired with Metal Mario on the character select screen.
This would have made me A LOT less bothered by Pink Gold Peach being in Mario Kart. Her taking up a character slot is the ONE (and only) thing I HEAVILY dislike about her

luckily, if you didn't know, kamek was added to the booster course pass, meaning all of these characters are now playable in mario kart 8 deluxe. (that is, of course, if you want to waste a year and a half to get gold mario and pay $25 for the bcp.)

Just because there’s a course in the game that’s centered around a certain character/game doesn’t mean they were meant to be in the game. I get dry bowser was added later, but there are F-Zero Tracks, but no Captain falcon.
