Solution (as repairing did not work for me): I downloaded Revo Uninstaller (free version, Portable one) and uninstalled what I believe were problems (plugins for Edge, iCloud that was causing installation some plugins for Edge and other browsers, removed all cache for IExplorer (from RevoUninstraller) and Edge) and after rebooting - Edge reappeared! Then I removed all extensions and reinstall them. Works :)

Oh my goodness, I cannot believe it. It worked like magic, my Windows just crashed, it wiped out my hard drive. And Microsoft Edge didn't respond, drove me nuts. But, your trick fixed it my magic.

small shortcut: use ctrl+shift+esc to open task manager.
also thanks for the tutorial. it must’ve been some error when i first launched microsoft edge. end process tree helped

Dont work, even if a click on the edge symbol on the windowsdesk (with the loading symbol shows in some seconds) it wont show up on the taskmanager anywhere soo..

I fixed this by going to control/add/remove/ then clicking on delete an option to fix edge pops up click on that and it reinstalls the program. I've been working with it now for a while and had no more problem's

@@nishantdon1843 Don’t listen to that dips#%t because that’s not how it’s done. He’s full of s#%t just like the dude in this video. Go to your settings, then go to apps. Once your there, scroll down until you see “Microsoft Edge.” Then click on the 3 little dots just to the right of the app, click modify, then click repair and click yes.

Best solution for me:
1. Open File Explorer and paste this in the address bar %LocalAppData%\Microsoft\Edge
2. Delete or rename "User Data" folder
