Bought this balancer 2 years ago.Just paired it with an All American Sharpener 5005. If I make a mess of my lawn this year, it won't be my mower blades fault!🤓
Hahahaha. Yup! - This balancer is fantastic! I’ll have to look into the All American… sounds awesome Charles! I found leveling the deck also was pretty simple but made a HUGE improvement in my cut! Thanks for watching and for the comment!
@@OldIronAcres they have a $45 knockoff on Ebay/Amazon. Works exactly the same. Just got it yesterday. Quite a few comparison videos. No difference except the +500% invoice.
@@DisgustedGenXr Yeah, I'm sure knockoffs are out there. Sometimes I by high quality products, sometimes I get cheap knock offs. I know I like it.... I'll never need to buy another, but the knockoff could be a good idea possibly for this product. The way it works, it does a great job.
30-degrees is recognized more, as the best angle for mower blades. You've got the best balancer money can buy. Now all you need is an All American Blade Sharpener and a compact angle grinder with a 35-40 grit " FLAP " wheel, and you'll be in business. Ps, Don't spin the blade, just position it horizontally and let gravity take over.
@gratzbuck9882 -- Thanks! Yup, I've heard that 30 degrees is the best. I think that's the "general" correct answer. I've also heard from guys with mowing crews that they prefer a 45 degree grind, and that they feel they get more mowing out of the blade. I'd guess that a sharp 45 is better than a dull 30, maybe? @@OldIronAcres I was on 40 hrs with no sleep. Sharpened up my brand new G3 Gators and unknowingly somehow put the fugging blades on upside down…. Yes , the 3 bent mulching fingers facing down😂😂. Messed up part? It did an amazing job. Lower cut then my normal setting (about 1”🤔). Everything was going great until I decided to back into a little nook then … WOOOFAWAAAFAWOOOFAWAAFFA!! Thought I suck up something burried in the earth. Etal rag, rope etc. NOPE bent the blade about 2-1/2” only on one end. I remove the blade and I’m looking at the blade and I don’t see any damage on it still razor sharp and I said to myself how can it still be so sharp when I flipped it over I noticed that the three little fingers were shiny on the backside and I looked under the mower and sure enough the other blade was on upside down to what an idiot I couldn’t believe how good it cut the grass Anyway, I ordered another set so I have a spare now for next time. So dumb. 🤦🏻♂️

Check blade straighteness on the cutting edge not the curved part which doesn’t matter.
