Simplest is the best and a lot of people just don't get it. Thank you for sharing. I have a grinder on stand so all i have to do is to mount the grinder on wood and make that jig then mount the whole thing back on the stand. I am frustrated with craps they are selling and don't work. Best to build it myself save money and the darn thing works. This simple 30 degree jig will work and it is so simple to make!!!!!! Simple is the best. KISS (Keep It Simple Stupid) in action.
That's what I thought also! Jig/guide angle needs to be 60° from the bench top to get 30° bevel on the blade as the face of the grinding wheel is 90° to the bench top.
Well done , you made it so simple and so cheap. Thx for that
Glad you liked it!
Smart dad!

What angle is the bottom of the ramp 2x4 cut?
I'm assuming 60°
Dulin cut and trim
Your alignment fixture is 30° from the bench top and 60° from the face of the stone you are sharpening your blades at 60° LOL
Dog
Truly, you have a dizzying intellect , you may want to reexamine your hypothesis ?
