If it wasn't for these two and World's Strongest Fan, I would honestly have no idea what was going on. I honestly have no idea where GL or WSM posts their stuff because I probably unfollowed them at some point during one of their mass spamming of one athlete. And even when I do see stuff from either of them, it's sparse or late to the party.
I bet even WSM is watching this to find out who is competing

The lack of Nordic people are disturbing. But the biggest shocker for me was finding out Bobby is 31 years old. I thought he was like 40 at least.
Rob Kearney just recently announced that he will retire from professional strongman after this year's WSM.

It's amazing to see how many well known, top level athletes have been at WSM multiple times yet never made the final. Really goes to show how much of an accomplishment that alone is even if you end up bottom 3.

As someone who is about lozs size I'd like to see a video about what kind of weights should someone be lifting raw to be somewhat competitive in the strongman and how people get into it.

Ive heard that Rongo finally got the visa issue cleared up but i wonder if IMG legitimately didnt know. Wouldnt surprise me if that were the case
Rongo sometimes finds it difficult to get US visas, especially at short notice, since he was in prison in Aus.
(Not saying that’s definitely the reason, but it might be.)
@@JamesNeve He posted on his instagram like a week ago, that he is totally surprised that he didn't get the invite especially because all the inyuries, that he is ready to go with all the visas and training.
So besides Thor, major absentees are Kieliszkowski, Licis and Novikov. Wide Pavlo too.
Just wondering now if Maxime was not invited or turned down his invite? His lat seems to be doing a lot better.
Other than that, since Hatton declined his invite I believe this is the best possible list.
How’s my idea for the groups? Tried to split the top 5 then make them 2 Americans, 1 Brit and 2 newbies in each group. Took me about 10 minutes to come up with it and it’s probably better than what worlds come up with

What a lineup. I know Mitch Hooper and Tom Stoltman are favorites, but let’s not Forget Trey Mitchell has won the Shaw classic repeatedly, and he can definitely win WSM. I want Luke Stoltman up there in podium too. Why is the podium only for 3 ???😂
Honestly both Trey Mitchell, Evan Singleton and Bobby Thompson, has better chances than Tom Stoltman this year. Going by their training, Tom seems exhausted compared to the trio from usa.

Honestly, strongest man on earth is the more prestigious competition and a true test to see who really is the strongest man on the planet. Has the dynamism of wsm but only a heavier competition

Luke Stoltman vs Matt Ragg for the bronze trophy might be more contraversial, but that's my hot take!
I attended WSM last year, didnt pay for tickets, and it was a truly bad experience. I attended the Arnold this year, with $300 tickets, and it was an excellent experience. Myrtel Beach is a 5.5 h drive and columbus a 10 h drive. I won't attend another WSM but I'll gladly pay and drive twice as far for the Arnold.
And the predicted podium on the thumbnail. I think Hooper has good chances of winning 1st place but it won't be easy.

Kinda surprised by the last 2 announcements as Paul smith meant to be a reserve so surprised he's not in
Tristan and Adam were both reserves first, so when Shane and Kristjan had to pull out, Tristan and Adam were moved into the main line up and Paul smith (and one other) now have reserve spots.

I really would like to see Luke place 3rd but i don't think he is capable against the staked opposition he has. if Luke proves me wrong, I will be ecstatic. I desperately want to see Tom beat Mitch so I know it's possible for Mitch to lose. Mitch is the favorite for #1. Lord, I pray no injuries for any of the 30 men competing.

@jamesmuckell9590 the deadlift will be Lukes issue but the events really do suit him a little except for maybe the frame BUT he has been improving his grip, Tom's grip has improved as well

These latest add ons due to all the injuries is really unfair to the fill ins since they aren’t prepared enough. WSM isn’t gonna be a great show this year. 1st Mitch, 2nd Tom, and third is up for grabs between Trey, Evan, Luke possible, or one of the new faces like Nana.

Thor has beef with WSM. He will compete anywhere but there basically.
Thor doesnt care for Colin Bryce and his wierd shennanigans. So he boycotts GiantsLive if im not mistaken. At least he boycotts WSM. GiantsLive smeared him and denied him his 501. He is right to send them piss off.

When are they releasing who is in which group? I'm gonna bet my nuts that the Stoltman's are not in the same group again.
Groups will be announced next week once the athletes have arrived safely and had their medicals, so probably Tuesday. There are 5 Brits competing so one will be in each of the 5 groups.

With osg always being in USA so alot of athlete's not having the money to go over there to compete should they rely so much on osg as qualifier for wsm especially with giants live having so many athlete's compete at their events having already qualified? I'm not saying giants live shouldn't have who they have compete either btw

I'm not really that excited for WSM this year. Thor not competing. Brian not there after so many years. Novikov, Licis and Mateusz out injured. What happened to Wide Pavlo? Why was Lucas Hatting not invited? The only person there to push Mitch is Tom. Meh.
thor doesnt want to compete for wsm. licis hasnt been a regular in recent years, wide pavlo was in a car accident ages ago and is still recovering. lucas hatton was invited and turned it down.
there are still lots of great guys and anything can happen in a comp. it will still be very much worth watching

So many Americans this! At this rate, they are going to have to hold a qualifier in the US just to try and limit the number of Americans to open it up for other nations. 😅
This is one of the weakest fields in quite a long time. Everyone is fighting for 3rd behind Tom and Mitch. No chance those 2 aren't in the top 2 spots.
To me strongest man on Earth is way more exciting i haven't watched WSM in 10 years or more I have tried but when you know the winner's before you can watch it is not interesting

I think it's absolute Rubbish that they don't have current 2x Australia's Strongest man competing at WSM. Instead they have a singing New Zealander representing Australia.
