The tone in this video was different than the others. I could feel the heaviness, seriousness, and the care in this video. Mental Health is so important and I could feel it being taken seriously in this video.
Thank YOU for this. I am 100% deaf and I often forget ASL signs. I need RE-watch signs. I mostly hang out with hearing people I communicate em by spanish hand gestures or type on notes without ASL more than deafies because there are zero deafies/ hearing people that know ASL in my city 💯💯👍👍Much appreciated. Hello Meredith, SIGNS OVERWHELM, THERAPY I LEARN. The pandemic taught people that mental health needs to be taken seriously. This video encourages communicating and asking for help, and that's a great way to practice mental health! I love the reminder to have a certified ASL interpreter at therapy sessions. Do business ethically.
Thank you so much Meredith for these timely relevant signs and investment of time/resource to produce - I will be sharing today at our SpeakingFingers Community Safe Space for Deaf Adolescents/Youths, their ProudFamily and friends at Kabiyesi's (The King) Palace at OregunLand, Lagos Nigeria 🇳🇬 ...June 2024 Discuss Focus is Mental Health & Wellness🎉❤🤟
I have been learning with your sight for 18 months. It has been very helpful as I do work full time and free time is limited. Watching videos on my time is wonderful
Meredith, I've watched dozens of your videos. This one stands out. The quality and depth of your explanation of each sign is captivating. I could feel the emotion in each sign and the example sentences remind me I know more than I realize. God bless 🙏.
I am glad that you made this video. when I was 13 my mental health was really bad and I was admited a couple of times. I love the seriousness in the video. Mental health is SUPER important. Now if I want to express how I am feeling in a different way I can just sign! But I am doing better now. I am now 14 and ready for what God has in store for me! Also can you pray for me in ASL? Ithink you should make a part 2 for people that are psychology majors.
thank you for the refresher. I have worked with the deaf and mentally challenged for 9 years and my signing skills were excellent. However when I went to work with the hearing I lost signing skills due to lack of exposure. Now I am working with the deaf part time ( 2 days a week) and I need to improve my ASL skills. I will be utilizing your videos. Again Thank you.
I had my first encounter with a deaf person a couple days ago. i didnt know what to do. i watched your videos, and i did some signs that i knew. any tips for having your first encounter with a deaf person? it would be much appreciated😁

Since we r doing serious topic now. I would be very interested to see crimes in asl. I feel like it can be helpful for those who want to learn asl and go into law or if they r in a criminal situation

Couldn't you just post the captions for the signs you use instead of voicing. I actually muted you and looked only at your signs and non manual markers
You should be signing everything. A legitimate source for ASL will not have someone speaking without signing, it will have access for Deaf as well. Disappointing.

Brian did a great job editing the video to honor the subject matter.

Is there a difference between how you sign the word "health" and "heal/healing"?
Thank you for this!!
You're so welcome!
I love your videos.
Question: is the sign for peace literally mean to make quiet?
Wondering the difference between peace and become? Both hands with a twist, peace hands then come down? Not so with become?
It says there are 30 signs. There only are four. Although the sentences are in correct ASL, unlike many videos that use English word order. Thanks.
Yay!!
Isn't the sign HEAL the same as the sign for HEALTH?
Yes, they share the same sign.
❤
Let's learn how to sign ,"R u black?"

The placement and palm orientation on some of these signs are incorrect. 😢 Why aren't these videos being taught by a Deaf person?
You should be signing everything. A legitimate source for ASL will not have someone speaking without signing, it will have access for Deaf as well. Disappointing.
Please teach us the National Anthem or I'm going to keep saying it in each vid
