Omg I love this review. I was confused whether I should get the ESV study bible or the NLT illustrated one. I don't read the ESV I'm more of an NKJV or NLT person but the reviews on the ESV study bible are great. I wanna get it just to fulfill my curiousity as to why it's positive😂
Great video! I order one of the study bibles that you talked about. Nlt illustrated study bible. Keep up the awesome work on your channel! May God bless you and your family!
Thank you so much for pointing me to this video from your other video! I like your comments on the individual book contents. Now I'm going to look for your in-depth videos on each Bible. Have a blessed day!
On my wish list: Cultural Background and the NLT Study Bible. The most recent Study Bible I bought is the NIV Biblical Theology Study Bible and it doesn’t disappoint.🙂 Packed full of information.💓
Thank you peace I found your video Very informative as I'm looking for a commentary of the Bible as I'm from the Muslim tradition.....I'm researching all three books
I do not read the nlt , however, many people do- and I can’t help but think that the illustrated nlt looks to be a wonderful study bible for new Christian or a senior Christian.
Your channel and the reviews that you provide for us are very good! I have every bible in your video except the NET! I love studying 📖 and reading the word with the various study bibles shown here! Because I am on a budget, I have found most of these bibles on Amazon, EBay, Christian Book, Abe Books, Thriftbooks, etc. I am surprised at some of the prices! It can get very expensive even with the used copies. If the bible is out of print, the price is double or triple the price! Keep up the good work! 😎😇😍🌸🌺🌷🌹💕❤️🩷🩵💜🧡💛💚💗✝️
I have all of these (the NLT Illustrated Study Bible I'll be having for Christmas, but in bonded leather), although the Cultural Backgrounds one I have in the NKJV and the Life Application one I have in the KJV. Some of my other favourites that weren't mentioned here are the MacArthur Study Bible, the Lutheran Study Bible (even though I'm not Lutheran, this is a great one with loads of study materials and with prayers throughout, which is a nice touch), The Ancient Faith Study Bible (being into church history, the Church Fathers and their commentaries, this is a must have for anyone who's into that), the Matthew Henry Study Bible (which is a condensed version of Matthew Henry's commentary on the scriptures), the KJV Holman Study Bible, KJV Apologetics Study Bible, amongst others.
I really like the fire bible. The articles are very good and the story of why it was written is beautiful. I have the nlt application and fire bible. Otherwise i have moved to 1 book commentaries now
Great choices! The 7 I use: CSB Study Bible ESV Study Bible Aechelogical Study Bible (NIV) Archeology Study Bible (CSB) CSB Holy Lands illistrated study Bible KJV Study Bible HCSB Illistrated Study Bible Very good video! Thank you for taking the time to put rhis together! Glorifies God! 🙏
@@annacbrown1986I’m not sure how to answer that because it would imply the word “lord” predates Adonai. Adonai is used to replace YHVH because of the seriousness of that representation.
@@TheWordNerd I know they do have a list from the most accurate to the least , the least is under the paraphrase , then thought for thought, then the most accurate in under the word for word .
@@gregtowle8830your post is miss leading. If you mean the nlt is less literal then yea sure, but that does not mean less accurate, i would take an nlt over a kjv any day
@brothercaleb8495 judging me off one video...sad thing to do from a "brother in Christ " you dont know my testimony or how I actually read and study and seek God's face... maybe you should obey Jesus 👉🏻 John 7:24 KJV - Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.👈🏻
@@TheWordNerd I see how my comment may have been misunderstood. For what I was stating was to be honest, a general statement for everyone. It would have been better if I said "Yes amen you just simply need to seek God for yourself." My statement was meant to be a general statement for everyone and that only by spending time alone in God's word will be how you get to know him. Studying theology, multiple translations, or commentaries doesn't help. I know from experience. The only way is to abide in His Word and in English it is the KJV. I came to know Him by abiding in His word and I found out how to actually obey the gospel of Jesus Christ. I was giving no accusation towards you at all and I apologize if it seemed like I was for that was not my intention or what I was trying to do. I see you believe in the Lord and you're striving to seek him and that is well. And I simply as a man of God must prove all things. May I ask, how did you get saved from your sins?
I like pulling out a bunch of study Bibles and looking at what each says about the same passage.
The NLT Illustrated is my favorite all time study Bible, and I’ve owned them ALL

Which Fire Bible is considered premium with full study notes?
There is no "premium " version
I switched to the Complete Jewish Study Bible because I was glad to have the Hebrew nuances reinstated in the text.
I have a Jewish study bible for the old testament

Sadly the esv study Bible is calvinist and the essay on the Canon is flawed, but it really has amounts of good information.
Yes sadly but not hardcore calvinistic that it's not helpful. 😊
You thought about getting the MacArthur study Bible?
Not really
@TheWordNerd Oh you don't listen to him?
I’m going to look into the Cultural background study Bible. I was also recently looking at the archeological study Bible online. 🙏🏻🕊
We've been using the "Expositor's Study Bible" King James version Where would you rate that one? thanks
