My very favorite noodle dish. Thanks. Just made this. Added chicken cooked just like the prawns. Had to use cabbage instead of peppers as that's what I had. I need to use more curry next time as I think I added too much noodle. It was very good for my fi rest attempt. I went by watching video alone, not amounts on the web page. I spend a fortune buying these at the Chinese restaurant downtown. Now I can make it myself at home much cheaper. Thank you.

It amazes me how people seem to need to be negative. "It doesn't exist"? Really? Because I just watched them make it. If you don't like their recipes, why not go elsewhere instead of complaining? I think this one looks yummy and I couldn't care less if it is served this way in Singapore or not. :)

I don't think that people are purposely trying to be negative. They are just telling the truth. I am from Singapore and while I appreciate the fact that several people are trying to teach others how to cook a dish from a certain country, many are naive about the authenticity of the dish. We have really good noodle dishes that are served in our country, but, we don't add curry powder & sliced ginger in the noodles as they don't go well together. I had tried this Singapore curry bee hoon in Suzhou & Shanghai, China, & Sydney, Australia, and they tasted awful. Apparently, the Chinese chefs must have thought that this was the way to cook but they were wrong.
I am not saying that the two ladies are not good cooks but it would be better to just say it is their dish.

Quick tip!!! Instead of adding water to your curry, add about 2-3 tbsps of oil to your wok and add your curry powder to that. Low high and let in cook for a bit to bring out the aromas and flavours, and overall it will taste better.
