Thank you for not doing a walk about and making us motion sick-🤣 And listening to your calm voice was a delight. I also love a god pun and wry dry wit. I am cruising on the five day Riviera Maye cruise out of Miami on November 7 to the 12th. Anyone else on that one? We need to make sure we hit these highlighted venues within those five days. Ready? Thank you for this video, it was very helpful when I got to go. A few additional things that I loved and highly recommend: in the galley, the coconut pavlova (meringue, pineapple compote, and coconut cream) melted in my mouth unlike any dessert I had ever had, and the pistachio macarons with fresh raspberries in the middle were amazing. Also, at the sweet shop, the freshly made chocolate covered peanut brittle was excellent.
I have watched a few virgin voyages food reviews and I have to compliment you on this, it was thorough and I got what I needed. The visuals on the food were amazing and the voice over was nicely done. Thank you.
The best restaurant guide we have seen - gutted we missed out on the Social Club and the 15th Deck cafe's little bowls! We were on the 23rd Aug sailing and LOVED the food - Pink Agave was our fav followed by the Test Kitchen with Razzle Dazzle for lunch the biggest (pleasant) surprise. Steak restaurants are` just that - steak restaurants - but The Wake was as good as any! We thought the food in the Italian was good but possibly lacked a little atmosphere although the staff were great. The pizza place while only having 4 pizzas on the menu will make any of your requested combos to order! We've already booked again for the Zeebrugge Cruise on Valiant Lady and the Greek Cruise on Resilient Lady - hopefully they'll vary the menu's a bit!
Just back from Virgin, Great review brings me right back , also Top 10/10 service all over the ship . Amazing never had service like this anywhere . We did a back to back to The Ascent and service their 7/10. Great job Virgin 👍👏👏👏👏👏🇨🇦

You ought to do a best of vlog for cruise ships ... Best appetizer, best entree, best dessert, best entertainment, best stateroom, best shore excursion, best onboard experience and most embarrassing experience you ever had on a cruise ship etc.. We can see which cruise or ship gets the most points.
We went on a VV cruise last year aboard the Scarlet Lady. We were very impressed by everything the ship had to offer so much so that we booked a second voyage while still onboard! If you've never been on a VV cruise you MUST! We leave for the Bahamas in 3 three weeks on the Valiant Lady! Hope to see you onboard!
I have decided that my second VV cruise will be immediately after the first, in case I have yet to have my fill of the food. It all looks absolutely fabulous.

I LOVE the way the buffet works! I love a good buffet, but at the same time I hate food that’s been picked all over, or pot lucks. It grosses me out, even more so in this Covid area, and I’ve always been a minor hypochondriac.
Sailing on scarlet lady friday sure hope I get to try some of this food-unable to get a reservation at any time in any restaurant all5 of the nights!!!! Been trying for a month-that will really suck if I can’t get in
TYVM! Looks good. OTOH, look at the test kitchen. I almost always get the chef's tasting menu with wine pairing at a Michelin-starred restaurant, so I am in the target market. Yet I get to sit in comfy chairs not chic stools. I like innovation so there is much at Virgin to enjoy. Yet I get the feeling that in their pursuit of innovation - or at least different - they are trying just a bit too hard. YMMV.

There were vegetarian options on the main menus but not sure about vegan - sorry. Though Razzle Dazzle was probably our favourite restaurant (after Test Kitchen) and is open for breakfast too 👍

We are going on a virgin cruise in Dec on the valiant lady :) not really sure what to expect and if i will like this alternative styling of cruising. Im eager to try something new, but just not sure. Im really concerned about the food though as i prefer home cooked /pub style meals. This food seems very fancy and im scared my tummy will not be able to stomach it. I think for our 5 night cruise i will be eating only deserts and drinking coffee lol oh well guess I'll stack on quite a few pounds, but who cares you only live once :)
Don’t worry Debbie, there are plenty of dining options and I’m sure you’ll find something you’ll like. The buffet offers a variety of cuisines including the more pub style offerings. Have a wonderful cruise and let us know how you get on 🚢

Fantastic!... We're doing 4 nights with a goal to do all 6 restaurants. Question: Other than Razzle Dazzle do the others have a fair selection of vegan or at least vege people? My wife's a trouble maker :)
Im 18 days away from my cruise and when I go to make restaurant reservations it states that everything is sold out. If I can't eat at the main restaurants I am going to cancel my cruise
Urgh. Sorry to hear that Henry. I can't comment on that positively I'm afraid. We were OK on our voyage, but that's not to say when it gets busier, you may miss out. :(
This helped me decide that this cruise line is not my ideal one. The included non specialty dinning areas were just mediocre. I hate paying twice. Virgin keep your yam ice cream and fairy toast. I’m going to stay with celebrity, princess, Norwegian, Holland America, Disney, Viking, Royal Caribbean, And carnival I’ll even take MSC

I'm really worried about the food onboard as my fiance doesn't eat fancy food. We are cruising on resilient Lady in December for our honeymoon so I'm hoping that she can find something onboard to eat or it will be a long 5 nights for her
If you have a TA maybe they could contact the ship before you board and let them know what door your fiancée doesn’t like 👍 I’m sure you’ll still have a great honeymoon - it’s a fun ship ❤️

Help everyone! Question....If you are a picky eater (As I am) can you get the dinner options at the restaurants customized or can you not substitute and leave off items from the dishes? I am a basic food gal and like plain things without all the extra!! Like a 8 yr old child's palate trapped in a 46 ur old woman's body!! Hahahaha
Really not sure, hope you find the answer to your question. Would say that it is often possible to contact the ship beforehand to let them know of dietary requirements which might make it easier for you once on board 🤤

Well spotted George. We literally couldn't fit it all in and TBH if we can't eat it, we'd rather not order it. Hate wasting food and room service we just couldn't squeeze in! :D
I couldn't make it to the end. The cutesy commentary was annoying and the images did not make me want to eat any of the food. Asking RUclips to not show me any more of your videos. It was unbearable.
Christ this all looks awful. It's like a child's idea of what interesting food should be like. The test kitchen is like someone has just read their copy of Modernist Cuisine and not realised they are 15 years behind the times. Steaks all look massively overcooked. That tarte tatin is an absolute disgrace to French cuisine. And I've never seen such anaemic waffles :( And I actually laughed out loud when I saw the "butter chicken". Guac looks like something from a supermarket fridge section and the stuffed pepper from a horror movie. Calling any of that authentic is a joke.
You seem very carb and sugar dependent...bet you have metabolic syndrome and are pre-diabetic; dump the carbohydrates and sugar for optimum health. Also that vegetarian "meat" is full of chemicals and is hardly a non-processed food.

On US maiden voyage vloggers said there were many restaurants not open as advertised, including the pizza place. Food hard to find at 3pm.
That's not something we experienced in the UK Summer Soiree sailings.

It opens up for rsvp for non-suite folks. Virgin needs to work on the communications.

Help everyone! Question....If you are a picky eater (As I am) can you get the dinner options at the restaurants customized or can you not substitute and leave off items from the dishes? I am a basic food gal and like plain things without all the extra!! Like a 8 yr old child's palate trapped in a 46 ur old woman's body!! Hahahaha
Really not sure, hope you find the answer to your question. Would say that it is often possible to contact the ship beforehand to let them know of dietary requirements which might make it easier for you once on board 🤤

Well, their drinks package is different (typical Virgin Voyages!) - you pre-purchase a 'bar tab' and if you do that you'll get extra cash for your bar tab. confused? Yup. :)
Are the menus good for those with food limitations due to allergies

I couldn't make it to the end. The cutesy commentary was annoying and the images did not make me want to eat any of the food. Asking RUclips to not show me any more of your videos. It was unbearable.

Christ this all looks awful. It's like a child's idea of what interesting food should be like. The test kitchen is like someone has just read their copy of Modernist Cuisine and not realised they are 15 years behind the times. Steaks all look massively overcooked. That tarte tatin is an absolute disgrace to French cuisine. And I've never seen such anaemic waffles :( And I actually laughed out loud when I saw the "butter chicken". Guac looks like something from a supermarket fridge section and the stuffed pepper from a horror movie. Calling any of that authentic is a joke.

You seem very carb and sugar dependent...bet you have metabolic syndrome and are pre-diabetic; dump the carbohydrates and sugar for optimum health. Also that vegetarian "meat" is full of chemicals and is hardly a non-processed food.

Sailing on scarlet lady friday sure hope I get to try some of this food-unable to get a reservation at any time in any restaurant all5 of the nights!!!! Been trying for a month-that will really suck if I can’t get in
Will be cruising on Resilient Lady over Xmas and I’m super excited. I wasn’t going to get the bar tab because it’s a lot of money and I don’t really drink, but I might just have to try something for the Test Kitchen meal.
