We have been in six different cruise lines and our favorite use to be Norwegian until we sailed with Virgin, so far the best cruise line, no one can compete with Virgin in service, food quality and entertainment, plus the vibe is awesome, we can’t wait to get back.
This is the first time I've watched one of your videos. Great job! I'm very impressed with your review, and now it looks like we have to try VV. Never thought I'd say that. BTW....I spent 30 years in the travel industry almost entirely dealing with cruises and working for a cruise line, and then 10 years in a major metropolitan police force in the US. Now......on to watching more of your content.
Hi! Thanks for all of your helpful virgin cruise video. We’re taking our first virgin cruise in June. Question: how did you get rockstar vip status at embarkation and throughout the cruise while staying in a sea terrace stateroom? Thank you!
This was a great video. Very informative. I will be cruising Novemeber 10th. This will be my first cruise and I did think about the age thing now that I am in my early 50s but I think I will be fine with this cruise. I was sold on the no children policy. We shall see how this goes!
My wife and I (53/55) went on our first cruise this summer and chose VV. We are sold on the vibe, the crew and the food. Go in with an open mind and enjoy. If something is not right, tell someone on the crew and they will do their best to help you. We are going again in a few weeks. Safe travels. Well done review.
Chris - Another great review. Your detail, editing, etc are excellent and much appreciated by us, the viewers. My wife and I are in our mid 40's and VV just isn't for us. That's not a knock on any business or product in the market, it's just the fact that different consumers have different tastes and that's not a bad thing. We booked a Regent Seven Seas cruise this week and I just can't wait to experience their service and attention to detail and most importantly no crowds or long lines. We shall see!
Another great benefit for the bar tab is that you are less likely to have people getting sloppy drunk because they feel like they need to "get their money's worth" out of the drink package.
Enjoying your videos! I’ve been on several cruise lines and they all seem to have their pluses and minuses the more. I hear about Virgin the more I want to give them a try. I love the idea that the pricing is per cabin and not per person as many times, I go solo.. I don’t drink alcohol. I usually buy some sort of a package and get mock tails and soft drinks., but the idea of the bar tab sounds fair. Not forcing folks to buy a drink package for everyone in the cabin! And no flipping kids in the hot tub!!
Thanks so much for your outstanding review for us older travellers 😊. My wife and I are booked into a Mega Rockstar suite in Feb 24. After watching your review we are far more excited now as we had been a little apprehensive thinking we might be too old for this line. Have subscribed to your channel now as you really covered everything brilliantly. Thanks so much.

This was a great video - thank you! Just got off Valiant Lady and agree with everything you described. My only critique would be that the recorded music that they play on the ship in the pool areas and in the public areas is generally obnoxious. People age 40 and older should know that the music is a lot of thumping techno music, rap, hip hop and teenager music. Very little music that would appeal to the older crowd. At least this was my experience and it definitely detracted from an otherwise wonderful cruise.
Just got home from a two week trip on resilient lady from Dubai to Singapore, The food was amazing except for the galley , most people on board were over 50, not many young people at all. Music everywhere you went even in the small reading area , it got on most people’s nerves after a while. The entertainment was a bit strange at times (Lola’s Library) and the same shows and bands over the fortnight. The comedians were good especially Jeff Green. The ship is nice and the restaurants when you can book them😢, the trips were all sold out when we boarded the ship but even then there wasn’t many trips for my wife who can’t walk far. The staff were amazing. Some of the ports were not very good especially Mumbai , a half built terminal full of dust and building materials and every one’s passport was checked about 6-7 times so it took over 2 hours just to get through customs and Mumbai isn’t the best of places to go. Apart from that I enjoyed it 🤔
From my understanding, they have cut back on a lot of the "suggestive" things on the ship because so many fuddy duddies complained about it. Even though they weren't really the target audience. For instance, they used to have a singles activity/show when we went on called "Never Sleep Alone" and they cancelled it last I heard.

We had a different experience on Scarlet Lady. I am 69. Husband is 71. Not our cup of tea either. Food was awesome, every drink we ordered ( like on other cruise ships) , we’re not available. Staff was great, entertainment was not there. The first sailors on board got to book every show and were all sold out by 2:30PM when we got onboard.
Same here, seemed a clicky inside club. We were very disappointed, dinners were good, but food not hot. Galley limited choice and repetitive, shows were awful and we were up for some drag queen fun. Staff scarce, no interactions, good evening, how are you etc. Only saw our cabin stew first day.
That is a common problem….they should only open so many per every half hour to make it fair to everyone embarking thru out. Other option, link to the ships wifi while waiting in the terminal and try to book there.😊
So what drink is it that you don’t drink drink that was not available? I like a beverage that I get Las Vegas, Puerto Rico, and Savannah Georgia lotta place don’t carry it cause it’s really expensive but I messaged a friend that works for carnival and he realized that two beverages alcohol would combine to make the one I like and gave me the heads up for that… But please share what it is that you could not find. I'm 69 and enjoyed VV. True, there are parts of it that were not to my likng, but I can say that about every line we've been on. To comments below--every show and class has a "stand by" line. @@CruiseReport it’s true. A couple has done a RUclips video on it. They wear t-shirts with upside down pineapples on them so they can recognize each other 😂
As a younger person, VV is not for my wife and me. They feel like they're trying to be edgy just to be edgy, and it comes off as cringe. The decor mostly looks tacky and the opposite of timeless. An ice cream place named "Lick Me Till Ice Cream" and on-board drag queens? It feels like an 18 year old college freshman trying to act edgy and deconstruct from their traditional upbringing. If I'm going on a cruise, I want it to be a classy timeless experience. In 15 years everyone will look back and say, "Wow, VV was really tacky." but, to each their own.
Every cruiseline from Carnival to Silversea offers unlimited drink options (or they are included in the fare). Virgin's lack of an all-inclusive drink package upends the vacation by constantly nickel and diming you for cocktails. I thoroughly enjoy cocktails out by the pool. I'd burn through that $350 in an afternoon / early evening. It's cost prohibitive. No thanks.
We have valiant lady booked next September. We don't drink any alcohol. We did get an extra 300 to use for drinks. I guess we'll use it on specialty coffes

There were all ages, and some much older than us. We never felt like we were treated any differently.
The ship feels very cold and hard and industrial. Very grey
Yep. I think my husband are too old..
Did you get Rock Star Status for being an influencer as your cabin wasn't s suite was it?
Yes, but only LIMITED rock star status just so we could blog about it. We did not have full access.
vpn won't work on Princess either
Thank you for the review. How did you get rock star status? I thought you were in a regular balcony stateroom.
We were in a regular balcony, correct. The PR team at Virgin provided us VIP status so we could write about and talk about what the experience is like for Rock Stars and Mega Rock Stars.
@@CruiseReport you should try the diamond rock star
@CJ-xv7rw So to correct you it's called Mega Rockstar not Diamond.
I'm too poor for Virgin
how bout if you are a mature single male is their other single mature women ?
I am sure there would most likely be more mature single woman on Virgin than other cruise line. But, this will vary from one cruise to the next.
@@CruiseReport got it - mature virgin women_ 😀LOL
Our of Miami not my cup of tea
Swingers love VV
😳
Nope
Every cruiseline from Carnival to Silversea offers unlimited drink options (or they are included in the fare). Virgin's lack of an all-inclusive drink package upends the vacation by constantly nickel and diming you for cocktails. I thoroughly enjoy cocktails out by the pool. I'd burn through that $350 in an afternoon / early evening. It's cost prohibitive. No thanks.
We have valiant lady booked next September. We don't drink any alcohol. We did get an extra 300 to use for drinks. I guess we'll use it on specialty coffes
They also have many non alcoholic mocktail ,juice , smoothies
@@BoysOfBoca at $14 or less a drink if you go through $350 then yes you stay on the cruise lines for drunks
"Our Age and Demographic " meaning old, conservative and white HAHAHAHAHA
🤣
Y'all gonna turn this into another old people's cruise now? millennials cant have anything 🙄
😅
Haha yep
The answer is HECK No. age is just a number. I am a disabled Autistic female, and I am going next year. I am going solo, and I am going to have fun.
