This one scene provided an opportunity for Eric to display his acting chops with an intensity I’ve never seen him do in any other role, he seized the moment and nailed it.
What I thought was cool is when Cal was drunk in the bar and was imagining dancing with Derrick and then the random guy danced with him is the same as Rue being on drugs dancing with Lab but really alone thinking about her Dad. This show forces you to see this similarity and to have Empathy for one of them you should have it for both.
@@naurrrre There are storylines that intrigue everyone, if you’ve dealt with addiction yourself and know somebody that has then it’ll make Rue’s storyline more emotionally investing
I loved how Cal explained the line where Cal said Nate was his biggest regret in life. That it was because Nate being closed off and so secretive deprived him of his ability to be a father and love him. I didn't interpret the line that way when it cam out during the show, so I loved that he shared that.
It was so interesting in this scene that the older son was able to access the „appropriate“ emotion to Cal‘s invasive, transgressive and narcissistic display, which would be deep grief and hurt. He did cry. The other son, however, Nate, is so emotionally traumatized and has probably detached himself so early on in life in order to emotionally survive, that he is frozen. I suspect that Nate’s brother was able to preserve at least some form of attachment to his mother. Nate himself, however, had to detach from both parents due to witnessing Cal‘s traumatizing double life, and did therefore suffer a much more profound attachment injury. I think he is fundamentally unattached in a way that makes him quite psychopathic. Oh, the sins of the father(s)….
@Lindy T I'm not sure how you misunderstood, but cal is self admittedly bisexual/pansexual not gay. He says "I'll fuck men, I'll fuck women, I'll fuck transexuals" (which is a bit of a problematic statement in itself since it separates trans people but we can table that for now). It's never implied that he isn't attracted to his wife, doesn't care about her or never cared about her - he just resents the whole family because he allowed himself to be pressured into starting a family with her instead of spending his life with Derek and exploring that side of his sexuality further out in the open. She was a "beard" only in the sense that she helped him pass as straight in everyday life and to avoid drama from his dad, but he has made it clear that he likes all genders.

Nate is the middle child! You can see in that picture that the actor they used to play "young Nate" in season 1 is there, so there's legitimately a 3rd brother that hasn't been talked about. I also don't think it's a continuity error from pilot to the regular season, because if that was the case, they'd have replaced the photo in season 2 with one that only had 2 sons, but they didn't. I hope we get more info about who it is, or what happened to them! My guess is that he died, or got sent away and they (as a family) just don't talk about it, much like everything else.
BROOO. This is one of the most raw crazy honest scenes!!! It's so intense.. this actor played the hell out of Cal.. jeez Aside from Kendaya interventions.. this is one of my favorite scenes.
Just give him the Emmy.
I had no clue his voice was like that lol
He’s Australian…
@@lizw4176 ye I never herd him talk outside the show so didn’t know.
this was the first time i laughed out loud during this show, his speech had me rolling on the floor
that scene was beyond amazing and made me feel sympathy and empathy for Cal and especially Nate
brilliant acting by Cal. does no1 notice before he removes the picture that he stops and looks at it and says "but WE ALL have secrets" and takes it down? so they all must be keeping the 3rd son a secret?
Love their broship
Their bromance 🥺
They are both so handsome
ALSO i love CAL now hes a real one lmao
❤️Thanks for your endless love and support you have consistently been showing me. I can't appreciate enough the unconditional love I've gotten from you, which has been an inspiration to my career. I'm forever grateful. What country are you watching from?
Anyone else wondering where Nate’s other brother (Cal’s other son) is?
I know this show is pretty polarizing and people either love it or hate it, but this scene was absolutely jaw dropping and hilarious 😂

@@ericdane5026 cal you can’t fool me I know that ain’t really you
@@urfriendhannah Thanks for your comment Hannah! Please don't freak out! It me Eric, I was stunned by your comment and feel the need to appreciate your love and support. Where are you watching from?
PHENOMENAL ✨💎
he’s so beautiful
he rlly did an amazing job
Shouldn’t cal hate his first born the most? Not nate. I mean the older brother is the one who really prevented cal from pursuing his rainbow dream
I honestly cried
i don't know who should get an emmy this season; cassie or eric for both of their breakdowns
I kept thinking how "big" he was 🤣😂☠
Euphoria keeps getting better. Cal has been great this season. So help me God, if Sam kills off Fez and Ash tho.
I think Nate is using Maddie just to get the Video. After his dads meltdown I think Nate is going to do something with that tape with Jules once he gets his hands on it
It’s the facial hair
Jacob Elordi is so handsome I just want him to hold me

LOVE THEM
Didn't care for this show in first season but season 2 is getting me into the show .
Is it just me or Does anyone else think Jacob looks Super hot in this video?
These two actors bring alot of emotional dialect to this show
Man these 2 guys have so much humility, and they are phenomenal actors. I find that intriguing the fact that actors are actually such normal people. They are just human like everyone else.
It's annoying lol
@@ktipbomb7888 what is annoying?
@@NicksHEAT1995 when celebs wind up being as human as everyone else it feels weird lol like ya'll are talented and famous lol
@@ktipbomb7888 yah it is annoying ur right. It is like they are normal, but not normal, with millions of dollars.
Am I the only one who is wondering what happened to the 3rd son depicted on the family photo Cal takes off the wall? Where is he???
Apparently not: ruclips.net/video/gOfXvXsmYg8/видео.html

Wow Nate looks a lot older in this interview, they must pack on the makeup to make him look younger in the show.
Me finding out Jacob isn’t American 😱😭his accent is good
