The cast did a very good job and so did the director to bring this story to life ,from Priscilla's pov. I watched it an it really makes you feel that loneliness, longing and isolation that Priscilla had. The movie also wakes you up even more to the dark reality of an adult persuing a child, grooming her from a child to an adult.
The only GROWN man was her father and neither he nor her mother ever called to see how she was doing, they didn't attend her graduation nor did they give her any money. They had five other kids, 3 below the age of 5 - they pimped her out. It's totally ridiculous to claim that a 24 year old managed to manipulate an air force officer. She has had one of the most privileged lives in Hollywood on the back of marrying Elvis. The virtue signalling is really pathetic! Also, I'm not sure how much 'homework' you would get in the last few weeks of high school before graduation. When she moved to Graceland, she was literally WEEKS from her 18th birthday and her graduation.
I’m so shocked that Jacob didn’t mention the symbolism of the song “wives and lovers” while they are eating dinner. He’s usually very good at picking up music and pop culture symbolism!
@@maddievic2 “hey little girl, comb you hair fix your makeup! Soon he will open the door” on other words, Priscilla’s only responsibility that night was to doll herself Up to see Elvis back home from his film. “Wives should Always be Lovers too”

Too bad we can't get Elvis' side of his life story. Good for Jacob Elordi for acknowledging the social norms of the time with understanding and not contempt.
priscilla was groomed, that deserves to be spoken of with contempt despite the cultural context. we can separate the art from the artist but don’t try to insinuate that we should separate the man himself from the abuse he inflicted.
