I’m a facilitator at Andy’s Man Club in London and I’ve seen the positive impact the non-judgemental peer-to-peer support has on men who walk through the doors on a Monday evening. Always remember, there’s no shame in feeling vulnerable, scared, emotional or afraid, after all we’re all human.

A quote by Brene Brown comes to mind
"There is no courage without vulnerability. Vulnerability is not weakness. It's the ability to show up and be seen. It's the ability to be brave when you can not control the outcome".
I've been in those dark places, teetering on the edge of the abyss. After years of suppressing it, in the end, it nearly cost me my life.
So a message to all the men out there who are struggling, you are loved. Be brave. Talk about how you are feeling. Fight the stigma, my brothers 👊🏽

I have been on the edge so many times and sometimes I have gotten saved in the last second. Pills doesn’t help long term, you need to be around people who will let you be you without any judgement.

Losing a loved one is one of life's most profound challenges. The pain can feel overwhelming, and it's natural to want to retreat into yourself. However, it's crucial to remember that you don't have to navigate this journey alone. Talking about your loss, sharing your feelings, and expressing your grief can be a powerful step towards healing. By opening up, you allow others to support you, offering comfort and understanding. Bottling up your emotions can create a heavy burden, but sharing your story can lighten the load and help you find peace. Your feelings are valid, and your journey through grief is unique-embrace it, speak about it, and let the healing begin.

Life is full of hurdles but what can we do apart from try and pick ourselfes up and carry on for the sake of other loved ones around us. 1 of my best mates is part of Andy's man club. When i was at college doing my hnc I used to go into my mums partners house for my dinner went inside shouted then went into his bedroom to discover he had taken his life. I remember going to the police station to report it and going I think I've just found a body then after the police had done their thing I then went to college and ended up breaking down as I didn't know how to tell my mum I then phoned my mum to give the bad news. This is going back 25 Years when I was about 20 . I personally can't watch anything that reminds of it to this day . I personally had no idea he was going to do as I had my dinner the night before he seemed fine. I knew he had suffered mental break downs and had been suffering a brain tumour that couldn't be operated on. Even though he gone he was now at peace

I’ve been to #andysmanclub in Huddersfield. Very welcoming atmosphere and felt very easy to talk in front of strangers who turn out and become friends

Yan - could be a good thing to get more involved in. Sort the materials and get Rob in to wrap in the studio. Another video to spread the word. This video has clearly reached a much wider audience.

It's family that ruins a person. They think they have to prove everything. Be that bubbly person. In reality they're not that person and act a different way to please people they care about. It's a shame. It's happening everyday.
Just let people be who they're
