    Also i never retorque bolts that are siliconed because you break the seal and can have leaks....

    I just installed my Intake Manifold on my Vortec head 350 062 heads. What are the 2 - 3/16 holes in the Intake Manifold on your driver's side for ? (2:37 mark in your video) ? They go all the way into the Valley and I have no idea what they are for.

      I’m pretty sure that those are actually blind holes (not through to the valley) and are for mounting throttle linkage

    I Put silicone on every bolt so they all torque the same. Regardless of them invading into a water jacket you want consistency on torque spec and a siliconed bolt will act very differently than a dry bolt..

      That’s a good thought! I should probably use that technique as well!

      If GM didn't use silicone you don't need too I didn't and I have no leaks ,if any thing it will screw with the true torque setting

      @@darrellsomers5427There are torque specs for wet or dry bolts. I suggest anaerobic Permatex in red.

    A BLIND hole is closed at the end.

      Correct. I might have said that backwards

    What bolts did you use. Also are the ports for heater core hoses?

    • @iowadiy6361
      @iowadiy6361  Год назад +1

      I used an intake bolt kit from the auto parts store. The ports could be used for heater core hoses or also could be for bypass lines (only needed for racing or extreme temps)

    Do you have a part number for the gaskets

    • @iowadiy6361
      @iowadiy6361  3 года назад +1

      I believe I used fel-pro gaskets. The PN for Summit Racing is FEL-1255
