Hi Ava, if I'm being completely honest I've not really been feeling like myself lately. I feel like I've not been enjoying the things I usually do, I've not been smiling like I always have and for some reason I've found such a joyful comfort in watching your videos and watching you grow. Seeing you in your new apartment and watching you grow as a person has absolutely inspired me to strive for something new both within my self and my surroundings. I’ve also recently moved out at the age of 21. The quote you were talking about, “How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard” was my lock screen for a month. It’s so hard, but I feel like through this experience I am learning at an accelerated rate. The grieving of a life you once had gets easier which is nice.

I really appreciate the way you adressed how moving out can also be difficult and sad! I moved out two years ago and have been living alone since then, and I actually miss living at home from time to time (tho I get quite annoyed and want to be alone when I stay at my parents for too long). I found it quite difficult in the beginning and cried every time my parents left after visiting me or when going back from visiting them. It gets better, you get used to it, but the sadness of losing your childhood still comes to mind sometimes. I love the quote about being lucky to feel this way, we truly are! Thanks for talking about it and showing the tough sides of it as well!

I love that you talked about the emotions of moving out--I’m a freshman in college and I live in a dorm so last fall I had to “move out” and into the dorm. I also come from a very close knit family and even still have some emotions about not living at home anymore while I’m at school and just that that chapter of my life is over. I love you and your heart and how real you are!

I’m glad you’ve shared that moving is hard too, I’m a nomad and have moved around the world many times, too many to count, and it’s always hard and sad to leave the routines you’ve created in the places you’ve lived, your places, coffee shops, walks, especially your friends.

i could totally relate to your sentiment of how not a lot of people talk about the sad part of moving out of your parents' house. just like you, i've watched so many moving and living alone vlogs to prepare myself. it's been about six months when i moved out and as much as i love the feeling of independence, i miss my family so much especially late at night.

I moved halfway across the country for college after having one year of remote college in september and Ive had some good experiences but not the best living experience. I know things will get better soon but its comforting seeing one of my fav youtubers going through the same situation of moving out even if there are some differences because you're alone, no roommates, etc, but thank you for being open and vulnerable with us, sending you love and light
I moved out at 15 (everyone in my area has to for school) and the whole moving prosess was 20 minutes at a furniture store and a stop at the grocery store on the way to the appartement, and that was that. It's a lot easier to shop for furniture when you haven't had the time to develop a sense of personal style yet lol.

This is so fun and emotional to watch!! I moved out of my parent's house in September 2021, right as my first semester of University started, so it was rough at first, with a lot of tears and a lot of sleepovers's on my parent's couch, but now I'm doing way better and I haven't slept at home for like months!!

Ava! You are most certainly not alone in your feelings. I just moved away from my parents in August and as fun as it is to be in "adulthood" now, it's so crazy to think about my childhood being over. It's okay to experience feelings other than happiness and excitement. This is a big change, and big changes come with complex feelings and emotions! Love you, girl!
