As someone who has depression and stopped cleaning I let my house get filthy. You have been such an amazing inspiration! I’m back to cleaning beyond the basics and I feel so much better! Thank you for helping me feel motivated again!
OMG!! Thanks for your comment. I've been in your exact position. I'm just now starting the cleaning process and yes these videos inspire me too. I've been so ashamed and thought it was just me. Thank you more than you could imagine
@@karenmiller955 once I got started, it got easier. There are still times I get partway done and feel exhausted but I get back at it later or the next day :) You can do this lady! Keep plugging along as you feel up to it! The results are a huge difference in mental health
I hear you. Your not alone. I once kept my home immaculate. Whenever my family came over to visit, they would comment on the "clean," they would smell. Clorox. Then covid came along and destroyed my health, (I'm now permanently disabled.) My mental health was also destroyed. I went from immaculate to filthy. My spouse and 2 boys are hanging in there with me. I'm finally cleaning my home again. My bedroom alone will take at least 2 months to clean. I can't handle it, but I try. I have so much cleaning stuff, I need to use them. Lol... you got this. As for the cleaning hacks, they're awesome. 👌
Well, I think that depends your sewer situation. Because I lived in my house for 15 years ...And everything gets flushed and we have never one time had to wor any of our pipes or sewer lines and we use baby wipes from HEB and they get thrown in the toilet Every time because I don't want a bunch of "Pooh" (and yes I know how to spell to) I don't want baby wives or toilet tissue filled with yuck Sitting in the bathroom, trash can stinking at my house. And In fact, we've only had to unclog our toilet with a plungerMaybe twice in all that time, and that was because 4 times in 15 years and that cause my daughter had a huge" Pooh" problem... And I mean, huge.. As long as you don't throw 5 or 10 whites at a time down your flush And you don't have any roots or anything growing in through your pipes, most people are okay. You're super pipes are 3 inches. Sometimes they go right into 4 inches until they get down to your street to the city sewer. And then it goes up to 6 to 8 inches. I know this because me and my husband both have plumbing as well as our electrical certifications. We actually just sold our repair business about 4 years ago to start a new t venture .Now I do know that the water treatment plants has had big problems with massive amounts of baby wipes getting clogged in the systems they have Since that you're taking in everybody's toilet trash from a whole city. I'm not saying you won't have a problems. But like I said, it just depends on your sewer system.
@jenniferd264 That is because you're a apartmtment. Building is essentially on one sewer line. So you have all of those people dumping into one line. It's kind of like a mobile home park. H house has a 3 inch line going down to a main 3 to 4 in that every house on the one side of the street feed into and then that main line runs down to the city line And it doesn't size up to a 6 to 8 in line until it gets to the city street. So if you have 20 homes on 3 to 4 inch line, and you got 4 people flushing at the same time and not using like a shower or something like that That also sends out only water. Then you will likely get a clog if they're you're all using paper at the same time and theres Not sufficient water To push the paper down. Also houses settle and sometimes the lines will get more level and that can cause issues because a good flowing sewer depends on how it was laid ....they always need to be going down hill from your home since it's flow is only made by gravity
Amen amen amen on DO NOT Flush them.....just throw away in the trash ....after dusting. But they are very risky to plumbing have paid the price of two fixes now. Just not going to again.
Andrea is now my "go to" for organizing tips, cleaning tips, money saving tips, etc. Unbiased reviews of Dollar Tree products are great. When something is "crap", she tells you! My kind of girl! FANTASTIC CHANNEL! Coffee coming your way, Andrea AND hubby, soon!
Have you ever organized a space for a senior who needs to have easy access to their cabinets and drawers when they cannot bend because of health issues? Most seniors also need organization in their bathrooms. Would you consider doing a video for hacks for seniors.
I was a home health nurse for 25 years and always recommended to my patients to keep most often used items between shoulder and knee height and if cabinets are deep, put everything on cookie sheets and slide them in and out like drawers. Lots of other things you can do, but that one is a biggie!
Andrea Jean, you are a breath of fresh air. I tell my family all about you. You are my inspiration. I am organizing my entire home and cleaning as I go. I can relate to your personality and energy. Your interesting and fun. Thank you for bringing me a big smile and enjoying the time I spend with you. Susi
I live in an RV and use the wipes. However, I don't flush them (if anyone knows about RVs, they know why). I put them in doggie poo bags and tie them, then put the doggie poo bags in a trash bin. Doggie poo bags are amazing for a lot of things, a quick glove, mini trash bags for the car, or camping, put them in a purse to use as a trash bag or a collection bag.
Folex is the most amazing spot remover for carpets and furniture, but I never thought of using it on fabrics that can go in the washer. Thank you for that great tip!
Rolex is great and I’ve used it on carpet but now I’m going to use it on my vintage button tufted chesterfield that I’ve owned since I bought it in 1976 just before I was married. The sofa is solid, outlasted the marriage :)
Parent tip--always have dark colored hand or wash cloths on hand for bloody Boo-boos. Some kids freak when they see their own blood and it looks so much worse on a white cloth. So use dark colored ones and they don't see the blood. Cool.
I thrifted a shoe organizer that was laminated wood with 16 cubbies. The soda organizer from $Tree fits perfectly in the cubbies. Also, the skinny plastic organizer with the handle, (I found them beside the fridge soda can container) fits exactly in my rolling craft carts. It fits 4 across and the handle goes exactly over the side which makes it easy to lift out supplies. I bought twelve to group my acrylic and chalk paints. Now I can just lift out the paint color I need and carry it to and from whatever I’m working on!!! I went right back and picked up all the rest the had for the rolling carts I use for cat food, sewing supplies, crochet station, household tools, and stationery, pens, pencils, markers, tape, post-it’s, etc. 😺
I'm m obsessed also with organizing, cleaning hacks and functional spaces...obsessed with your videos and your ideas!!! Your enthusiasm and spunk make it even better. I live in a very small space w/I cupboard space...so I found ways to make things work. I want to show people but not know how and a little nervous about it too. I have a company name ready (if and when I am able to start)..."DeAnne's Junk Works"...I've done friends homes before only with what they have, broken or not broken items...My slogan: "Let me take your junk and make it a masterpiece". I've learned a lot about fixing, cleaning and organizing. I was on my own since I was 16. (46 y/o now) I'm a clean freak. I like fun and stylish decor but MUST have a function...I try to use what I have on hand. I find uses for broken items too. I refer to myself as a recycle decorator, also...if I do have an object just for looks that I get bored with or not doing a good functional purpose...then I donate or "recycle" it and then get something else...I also do buy multiple items to see what works best...I've learned so much from you! Thank you... F.Y.I. I got that light up Bluetooth speaker for $3.00 (clearance was $5.00) from Dollar General...Its the best!!! Fun, functional and last long time or use while plugged in!!! It's better than my mom's $80.00 JBL... Her's doesn't charge good and only last a hour or 2 and it had so much static...This one is crisp and clear and fun colors!!!
I keep the Parent's Choice brand baby wipes in my bathroom. The 240 count is 2.3 cents each. I'm on a old septic system so I wouldn't flush a flushable anyway. I keep a small step-on to open trash can near toilet. Freshness with no smell, no clogging.
I love how your "Mary Poppins"" closet turned out! I have some similar spaces and will need to jot down the dimensions to see if the $Tree has something to fit. Those locker bins they sell are the right size for those decorated clear trays you rejected. It gives it a flat lid so you can line things up on it (think under the sink areas). So many are talking about wipes and bidets I am more motivated than ever now to start on my bathroom refresh which includes installing a sink mounted bidet hose. It works as a faucet and as a bidet just not at the same time. Something for folks to try if they cannot install a genuine bidet and cannot do the minimal plumbing required for a seat mounted item. It also gives option of warm water which the cheaper seat models do not. Will let you know how it goes! And now I shall put on my fortune telling hat and predict your future...gazing into my crystal ball I see... Andrea Jean you covered so many tips on this I foresee a playlist of shorts made from them...when you can get around to it! with some catchy music too... I also foresee a bobble head doll caricature of you with that wig, it would be unique merch item to sell here if you can locate a manufacturer...
You're great!! Everything you mention are great!! A lanyard around the head cushion, and drying rack. Amazing!! We got rid of an air hockey table that probably would have been great with your hacks. My fridge now has 3 pull out organizer, so things don't go bad in the back. Never would have thought about it without you. You're so fun and cute too. For the millionth time, your family is so lucky to have you.
The reusable bags made me laugh. Growing up we didn't waste anything! The bag that bread came in was turned into a freezer bag. You would break down the meat you got on sale into dinner portions. Freeze them until you need it. Take out the day before thaw in the fridge take out meat or the vegetables you froze during the summer for use in the winter. The bread bags were reused until it developed a hole. We would wash before any dishes then rinse. They would them be gathered together by the bottom corner and hung in our cellar way via a old oven rack mounted on the wall and clothes pins to dry. The old ones with wholes were cut up in strips and made into a type of yarn. This was store in a old pillow case also hanging in the cellar way. Every couple of months that would be pulled out the strips tied together and rolled into a ball. When enough balls were gathered my mother would crochet a brand new rug for the kitchen. The new one would go in front of the sink. The sink one would be down graded to the kitchen door. That one would be moved out side to the porch. It would be placed on the existing one to make it a little bit thicker so people could really wipe their feet. The stacking white bins i had similar ones that I used in the kitchen. I put ten # of potatoes in the bottom to stabilize it. The second i kept trash bags/ sandwich bags/ aluminum foil/ cling wrap /parchment paper/ Etc. The third one up i kept garlic cloves that I got on sale twice a year thing. The four one onions at least 4# worth. I had a flat tray at the top where I had herbs that I was growing. This was very convenient to have everything together when getting meals together. One tip for you vodka is a wonderful cleaner/ sanitizer disinfectant/ and last but not least a deodorizer! This is what I use on things I find that are really funky.
What a beautiful house you have. To me, it would be a dream come true, to have a house with large storage closets like your house has. Also you keep it so nice, clean and beautiful.
I actually love the microfiber mitts. This hack should help me pick up my cat's hair and dust faster. Not to mention reusable! Also, I own the same rubber waffle coasters😂. I use Dollar Tree bins to store my candles, waxes, oils, sprays, etc. In my home, my husband and I feel strongly about having a nice scented home, so we have lots of the above-mentioned items. I love those white bins above the clothing rack. Where did you get them? Better than wet wipes is bidets. For the floor mat try a craft tacky spray they come in clear.
Love the way you folded your towels, looks so sleek! Same on the wipes, gurl, same! Love your tips and tricks! You are the BEST I saw somewhere that someone took a twin fitted sheet and placed it over the back-seat to help keep their car cleaner when you have kids and travel a lot and they are eating in the car. Wish I'd of known of this trick when my kids were in elementary school!
Beautiful photo pics! Never use 2 hands 😅but will do now this is why I need you in my life ❤ some of their bins are flimsy 😢 beautiful bedroom and the wall decors beautiful 😍 gorgeous bottle 😊have a blessed week ❤🌈🦋🌞
I love your ideas! I am a teacher and I wish I could find someone like you to get ideas for classroom organization. Don't get me wrong, there are videos out there, however, I don't have the storage space available in my classroom nor the budget to purchase the storage containers used. I like the way you create what is needed and make it work for your space.
I had never been in a Dollar Tree until I came across your video on RUclips. I have to drive 40 miles to the nearest DT but now I look forward to the trip with a list of your suggestions.
Good morning! I’m moving into my new home in 12 days and I’m so excited for my pantry to look like yours! I have been stocking up on everything container wise. Andrea Jean thank you for sharing all your wonderful ideas for keeping our homes and all the other good stuff cleaner and better. ❤
Best of luck in your new home. I moved into my home and put post-it notes on each of the cabinet doors and drawers where things should belong. 6 years and one surgery later, I have reorganized him based on what my needs were and where things were actually needed. I reorganized during pandemic and I am decluttering again. Between this person's Dollar tree buys and Cas at Clutterbug, I am getting it done!
Yes, I dust with two hands but I use socks on them. I like the fuzzy things better though. Very good ideas. Thank you for the video. It's always great to make work easier 😻
Love you tips and tricks!! My favorite trick so far is the Dust Genie. It works well on dusting ceiling fans - I have a pair for dusting and a pair for oiling all my wood furniture and trim. As an aside - I read that the reasons Goodwill's prices (and thrift store prices) have gone up is due to people reselling items at a higher price, most thrift stores like Goodwill are for-profit organizations, the price of maintaining a store, such as rent, utilities etc., have also gone up. The thrift stores aren't like they used to be. And that's sad.
I use those trays in my fridge to hold packs of meat when I get home from shopping. I also use them when I defrost meat. They can slide out like a draw too. Before using the trays I had several packages bleed down the wall to the bottom of the fridge. Not fun to clean. Now I don't have to worry about that. 😊
I appreciate so many of your ideas and solutions. When I make homemade mixes, I use my label maker or I use clear packing tape to attach the label so it will be water proof. I often put the recipe on the bottle so I do not have to hunt for it. In other countries, such as Mexico, people do not flush toilet paper, but put it in the trash. While I flush TP, I do NOT flush wipes because we have a septic system. But even public sustems have expensive problems as their mashinery (grinders) get overwhelmed and stop working.
Good morning! This is the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve watched this video and the first time I’ve commented. First, I love watching your videos! I think you’re so much fun. Second, I bought 6 of the large stacking bins and they’re my dresser.
Great video Andrea! I have those clear Dollar Tree bins too, and mine also cracked. I just double them and they're more sturdy! 😊 I love cleaning upholstery too. It IS very satisfying!!!
I am lazy, My friend gave me a bottle of mouthwash she didn't like, so it sat on my kitchen counter for two weeks. I saw scuff marks on my fridge and took the mouthwash and doused a rag and wiped the fridge, and💗 it was amazing! Not only that, but I now use this bottle for my stove as well. Love your videos' girl 💜
I've only recently started watching your videos so this is probably something you already know but jic... Tysm for the oil trick on the soft filters! I am a housekeeper and one of the tricks I've learned for vacuum fragrance is to put a dryer sheet of your liking into the filter area of your vacuum that blows out air. I usually clean an average of 4 houses a day and one dryer sheet will last for atleast 2 days before I need to change it so it's very inexpensive!
Andrea I try to be organized as well. I have pretty sever ADD and so I need to be organized to function(work in progress constantly). I never never roll my socks that way they get stretched out. Instead I tuck the sock inside the other sock and you only need to grab one sock and they don't get stretched out!!!!
Love the hand dusters ! Besides You know one likes cleaning they like the Results! And You Bring it. Thank You 😊 Oh good Iove your laundry basket hack ! My daughter is horrible with Laundry and I'm Horrible with Dusting and You covered both ! Thank You
New subscriber here, saw your interview with Cas from Clutterbug and loved it, so here I am! You offer lots of excellent tips! Looking forward to your videos!
THE best thing I ever bought came from the British version of dollar tree, £land. It’s a water proof rug that looks like a normal rug. It’s awesome cos not only does it look nice but no matter what my two year old spills on it or walks on it, all I have to do is go over it with my power mop and POW! It’s like new. A wet cloth would work just as well. It was the best £12 I ever spent!
I use the pop can organizers in my freezer to separate different food products. Bread (in ziploc bag) standing in one, veggies in one, one for 73/37 ground beef, one for 80/20 beef, pork products in another. I can actually find ANYTHING now in my freezer. I also use them in my pantry.

Goodwill can be pricey, I agree. In my area, Tuesdays are Senior Day, so for us "seasoned" folks we get a 25% discount.
My Goodwill is not worth the bother. They seem to get the leavings from nicer stores.
Goodwill is not reputable, look it up. I was surprised when I found out 😲😤

❤️❤️❤️
Sounds like my childhood!
What a beautiful house you have. To me, it would be a dream come true, to have a house with large storage closets like your house has. Also you keep it so nice, clean and beautiful.
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Awesome spray bought at Dollar Tree works great for cleaning
Tennis shoes.
❤️❤️❤️❤️
You crack me up!👍
I'm glad! ❤️❤️❤️
Dollar tree awesome works amazing on cleaning shoes

Love the way you folded your towels, looks so sleek! Same on the wipes, gurl, same! Love your tips and tricks! You are the BEST I saw somewhere that someone took a twin fitted sheet and placed it over the back-seat to help keep their car cleaner when you have kids and travel a lot and they are eating in the car. Wish I'd of known of this trick when my kids were in elementary school!
Great idea!! ❤️❤️❤️

Great idea!! ❤️
❤️❤️❤️
Oh goodie! I need the can organizer;) I drink a ton of soda water 😊

Have fun! And thank you Merry ❤️❤️❤️
I love this gal 🎉
I love you ❤️

Yes ❣️ like the filter trick! I like to scent mine too bc we have 6 animals; so they always smell like pets 🐾
Love your house,it’s beautiful
Thank you so much! ❤️❤️❤️
Yes, I dust with two hands but I use socks on them. I like the fuzzy things better though. Very good ideas. Thank you for the video. It's always great to make work easier 😻
Love your videos.. they are addictive and very useful. Thank you.
So nice of you ❤️❤️❤️
Love you tips and tricks!!
❤️❤️❤️
What a wonderful way to pass it forward
❤️❤️❤️
I'm so glad I found you. Thanks for sharing 👍
You are so welcome!
LOVE!!! All your videos and organizational ideas. Keep up the good work 😊

Yay! Thank you Heidi! ❤️❤️❤️
Thank you for your fun-ness.
❤️❤️❤️
I use the pop can organizer in my pantry for my canned goods.
You're so funny and I love your voice!
Thank you 😍
I use those trays in my fridge to hold packs of meat when I get home from shopping. I also use them when I defrost meat. They can slide out like a draw too. Before using the trays I had several packages bleed down the wall to the bottom of the fridge. Not fun to clean. Now I don't have to worry about that. 😊
Love your channel
Thanks Darlene ❤️❤️
Folex is amazing!!
❤️❤️❤️
Awesome tips! Wowizer! Thank you! ❤
You are so welcome!
Love your ideas, you make me laugh too 😅 😊
I'm so glad!
❤️❤️❤️
The pop can organizer can be used for can goods
❤️❤️❤️
Oh, and Magic Ersers work great on sneakers
👍👍👍👍
Nice find on those baskets 🧺 👍🏾
Good morning! This is the 2nd or 3rd time I’ve watched this video and the first time I’ve commented. First, I love watching your videos! I think you’re so much fun. Second, I bought 6 of the large stacking bins and they’re my dresser.
Thank you so much!!

You too!! ❤️❤️❤️
Great ideas
I am lazy, My friend gave me a bottle of mouthwash she didn't like, so it sat on my kitchen counter for two weeks. I saw scuff marks on my fridge and took the mouthwash and doused a rag and wiped the fridge, and💗 it was amazing! Not only that, but I now use this bottle for my stove as well. Love your videos' girl 💜
❤️❤️❤️
You are so awesome! It’s fun to watch you, I love your channel. I organized my pantry with dollar tree containers and it looks awesome.

I use them as well..They are awesome and they smell good
Love your channel 😉. You have such helpful and informative videos and if I’m having a bad day you always lift my spirits!
I'm so glad! ❤️❤️❤️
Amazing!!
❤
Thanks! Slow down on the water and drink a coffee on me. ❤️
Sounds great! Thank you soooo much Heidi ❤️🎉❤️🎉❤️🎉❤️
So excited for next week’s video, because I have those dreaded wire racks in my pantry & most videos show wooden shelves!
Awesome!! I know…. They are a struggle 👍❤️😂

Also one of the best DIY cleaning/disinfectant natural cleaners is juice from a real lemon, smells good too!
Andrea is so adorable .All her videos are excellent and she’s sooo funny 🙋♀️Texas
❤️❤️❤️
Andrea I try to be organized as well. I have pretty sever ADD and so I need to be organized to function(work in progress constantly). I never never roll my socks that way they get stretched out.
Instead I tuck the sock inside the other sock and you only need to grab one sock and they don't get stretched out!!!!
Makeup brush holder for drying small paint/crafting brushes.🧑🏻🎨🧑🏻🎨🧑🏻🎨
