Just as well you decided to video the whole build because when you tell any stranger “yeah I converted it myself” they’d probably walk away thinking no chance. That looks like it’s been built by a professional conversion outfit, the multi skill set needed to complete to that standard is mind blowing, diy on another level. As for 30k, from what I’ve looked at you could add 5 to 10k to that. P.s. me and your dog enjoyed every minute 😂.
Perfect! Nice to see something nicely done, a lot of RUclipsrs just clad everything going for a sauna look or try to convert it into a cottage with products designed for houses, they also don’t fit a toilet/shower.
This is hands down probably the most beautiful setup I've seen . How was wiring up everything is it tricky to do? Not sure if you mentioned it,? But is your ducato a longer wheel base? Take care 🍻👍🏻
One of the best conversions I've ever seen. I converted a van and it looks like crap compared to this. People have no idea how much work this involves and to have this kind of quality... Unbelievable. Congrats mate, job well done.
Great Build, You see so many now and considering when this was done, I bet they got a lot of ideas / tips from this vid. It's still one I keep coming back to.
Hands down the best home conversion I've ever seen. I have the L3H2 Boxer so will be the same size and I expect the layout I go for will be too. I've procrastinated so much since buying my van, had it two months now but haven't even made a start because I almost didn't know where to but seeing your video has definitely helped. If you've got any advice for a complete camper conversion novice with some basic DIY experience it'd be much appreciated! Awesome work mate. Luke - Derbyshire
Loads of diy build van conversions on tube but this is by far the best and most professional finish I have seen. Mint love it 😍 Personal choice I would of liked the fridge to be 3 way.
Personally like it better than the pre build camper vans. Love the colors and it still looks a bit stealth. I like how you explained everything. Keep up the good work!
Good Question and one that I paid a lot of attention to. The gross weight on this is 3500kg with a curb weight of 2025kg obviously using the lightweight ply made a difference 10 @ 20kg per sheet 200kg not taking away cuts/waste but was the single most contributing. Give you some indication. Having completed I filled up with diesel & water, me, mrs, & dog took to weigh bridge and came in at around 2800/2850 as I remember so was pleased I could still bring back around 600kg of beer ?
This is the nicest conversion I've seen hands down. You put many pro companies to shame. Do you have plans for your design? What a bang up job. Congrats and cheers from 🇨🇦
Thanks Curtis, No plans as such, it was a plan in my head that got worked out as I went along, things got done/altered to make it work in the best / simplistic way. Pease hit the sub button if you haven't already 👍
Absolutely Fabulous! Can see the Dog has a lot of attention to details :) I love the colours too.. Thank you for sharing this (on another level conversion)..
Nice job, just got my self a ducato ambulance and found my self going the same directions that you have gave me some inspiration just to watch your video just to know after all the hard work its worth it.Thanks for the inspiration and ideas.
Looking to buy a L2H2 Citreon Relay early next year. I'm sure I'll be watching this loads in 2019. Your dog is the star though ☺ Thanks for taking the time to share this.
Pre covid prices lol. This is a fantastic job - doesn't look "home brew" at all. Congrats! 5 years late to the party but it just came up in my feed - apologies! Ringo
Kel. Splendid job. You should be very proud. I am in the first stage of planning for a 2 berth set up in my Ducato. But I'm in Western Australia so your heating set up will be replaced by an Air con set up. I'm tall so I'm needing North South bed set up. But some great ideas have been taken. Hope you are enjoying your RV. Mick
Very well done !!! Hoping to be doing this myself soon. I've never done complicated diy but I'm determined to learn as i want the Amazing feeling it must give you when you can stand back and say "I Did That !!!"
That would depend how it turned out of course ! But I am pleased to say yes it does give you a lot of satisfaction, especially when you think some people have forked out 3 times as much, for not as much !
Man this is SICK. I really love that conversion, I wish I had all that money to make one on my own. I'd love to see more content with this van. Cheers from Italy :)
Wow! This is wonderful! I wish I knew how to do this type of construction..I’d love to have a van like this! Where I live, on the coast..hurricanes and tornadoes are a fairly consistent realty ...how nice it would be to have one of these...and if our house was uninhabitable, as it was after Hurricane Harvey, we could live in the van during the restoration..
Stunning conversation and We are about to do the same and your style and layout is perfect for what we want and the finish is bang on Perfect 🤩 Brilliant video explaining it all too Thank you for sharing
Seen this video before. I think out of all the videos I have seen, your conversion is top, very well done. I have one question. I have the same situation with the double seats. How did you get them to fit. what did you cut off and finally, how did you fix them to the floor. Grateful if you can advise me on that. Thanks again for a first class video and conversion. Joe
Wow - That is superb work! That type layout is my personal favorite and the workmanship/fit and finish seems top notch. Nice touch on those alum rounded corners. Everything seems to be from a high-end conversion shop. I would have gone with a lighter color on the ply but that's about it!
wow the bar is pretty high on your work my man well well done ,i.m about to start the same van so lots to live up to but also great to know it is achievable if i put in the effort hope you get many happy miles from it
Just came across your conversion and can't say how much I'm impressed.. Speechless. We are currently looking for an l4h2/3 Fiat/Peugeot/Citroën the same. Your layout is pretty much how I've planned (also in my head) ours. Only thing is figuring out how to do double seat as bed for the kids. Also with wanting to take MTBs with us the bed would have to be slightly higher to accommodate the garage (don't want external mounted bikes) as many have said a list of products used / suppliers would be mega useful. Thank you for proving that you can convert a van into a professional grade camper/motorhome. I doth my cap to you sir.
Thanks Chris, Regarding your bed for the kids if your looking at a similar layout you'd probably have to make up a double seat and have a slide out frame/bed slats from under the seat. Rock & Roll bed i think would take up too much room? Hammocks could be another alternative I tried it across the front just as a single, from passenger door grab handle to drivers door grab handle and it works! Currently working on an e-book and will be an update vid soon so make sure you sub chris.good luck with your build.
@@kelontour1902 thank you. I've looked at rib chairs but budget doesn't stretch to £2k for just that. I'm sure we will figure something out. Can't wait to see the book
Just stumbled across this.....amazing As others have said it's stunning. Gave me hope & lots of inspiration..... but how much vehicle electric knowledge do you need Watched this video 4 times , still amazed 👍👍👍
awesome job, currently about to buy a stock ducato family van (have to allow for 2 kids as well) but if it wasn't for the kids would definitely copy this design!
This is a fantastic van and exactly what I need stay at the beach and carry all my kitesurfing equipment under the bed. Let me know if your selling it and nice work 👍
Very Nice and Very Well done, looks amazing looks factory finish. You must so proud, only wish I had the time? We have an Adria Twin SGX I see some similarity's no beige fake wood like it, again well done and good layout.
I had visions of being able to take my Ducati everywhere, but given the weight and unless I sacrificed more space it wasn't going to happen. So for those trips away I brought a scooter. That will fit in the back when the bed frame is taken out and put to one side, but the front wheel blocks the entrance to the fridge and toilet ! lol not good if you need the carzy or fancy a beer on route! So I made rear rack to take the scoot, now its a breeze.
Really looking like your choice of colours. Silver aluminium, blue grey black and red. Excellent finishing. Perhaps its time another video on what you would have done differently? And what worked? Did extra layers of insulations work? Does your stove and boiler runs of lpg?
Hi Kel! Great to see such an excellent campervan conversion like this. We are in the process of converting out our fiat ducato, and I had a few questions. 🙈 1/ Where did you purchase your taps? 2/ we think your van is the closest layout possible to what we are looking for, however if you where to change anything what would it be? 3/ do you think there is a way to change the front into a mini double for kids with your layout? 4/ we like the idea of having the option to change the back into a seating area. Is there a reason why this may not work in this layout. Thanks again for taking the time to make this video, we hope to be posting how to video in the future and will be sure to mention you as inspiration! With thanks Joshua

Thanks a lot Manuel, Your right of course, it is a lot of work, as you know yourself.

I loved the accordian front window blindes

Nice conversion thinking of using the Sargeant kit does the split charger work ok
Works fine haven't had a problem
Mate that's a really top fit out, you could put that up for sale and the phone wouldn't stop ringing ! A really professional looking fit out 👌👌👌
Absolutely fantastic conversion. A lot more complex and involving than we all first imagine. Well done.
Loads of diy build van conversions on tube but this is by far the best and most professional finish I have seen. Mint love it 😍
Personal choice I would of liked the fridge to be 3 way.
What a great van conversion. Good design and loaded with kit. Better than some big manufacturers.
If i wasn’t married and had no kids at the age of 35, this is what i would like instead of having a home with mortgage & bills
Exactly
WOW you certainly done a lovely job on that van, take a bow
Personally like it better than the pre build camper vans. Love the colors and it still looks a bit stealth. I like how you explained everything. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Den !

what a fantastic conversion mate..Well done

Good Question and one that I paid a lot of attention to. Stunning conversion, the quality and attention to detail is excellent. One of the best I've seen. Well done. You should be doing these full time!
Excellent conversion - possibly the best I've seen. Nice touches and quality finish.
Pro job, well done. These vans seem very popular for campers, low floor and very square sided gives maximum space.
Gobsmacked. That is one nice looking van. The detail is spot on. I wish you merry travels ! 👍✌️
Absolutely outstanding!!! Hope you and your supervisor have enjoyed plenty of trips in that wagon!!
We have...off later this morning in fact. Thanks
Very nice conversion and very clean design , nice color of the wood
Stunning conversation and We are about to do the same and your style and layout is perfect for what we want and the finish is bang on
Perfect 🤩
Brilliant video explaining it all too
Thank you for sharing
Very professional conversion, it looks every bit as good as a coach built motorhome that retail at £45k plus. Good taste in film entertainment too.
Thanks a lot Rab, that's what I was trying to get close to, obviously couldn't afford nowhere near 45k for one off the shelf.
Great video. Fantastic build beautiful dog. Bravo. I am a fan.
The best self built van I have seen to date it looks fantastic, wish I had your skills. You should be super proud of this 👌

Superb build quality and finish! Well done 👏
outstanding build 👏, I'm looking for different options for van conversions myself, but yours beats many out there. Insulation is first class.
Lovely conversion just add a door/ board to between garage and corridor ( stopping items shooting forward in a crash / sudden breaking)
Just stumbled across this.....amazing
