Reviewing translated literary fiction
I underlined the same section on page 94. As soon as I finished this, I had to learn more about this book. Thanks for sharing.
Such a great review. Thank you!
I liked Weasels in the Attic and The Hole more. In that order. I didn’t know what to make of the factory.
The Dalkey Archive publishes English versions of a lot of Eastern European literature. And also other places
Yeah that page 94 definitely the most poignant part of the story imo
Starting to get an idea which small press you might buy or subscribe to 😂 Mainly New Direction and Open Letter...possibly Deep Vellum or Coffee House. But I’m excited Charco Press is breaking into the US market. Anyway, I’m curious about trying The Factory but not a high priority. I wish I could be paid to talk about books, I do a lot of it. I’m looking forward to reading Space Invaders. Oh, I’m glad you mentioned publishers here, I follow publishers and record labels. So many great publishers to follow, being from Australia it’s hard to do. We have Text here that does a lot of things but we have to rely on UK and US publishers. So Europa, Fitzcarraldo, & Other Stories and Charco come to mind from UK. Then Open Letter, Deep Vellum, New Direction, and Coffee House Press are some from the US.
You kept mentioning the dog, I needed to know what he looked like.
Also thanks for the shout out, unnecessary but thank you
