Back when I was a young man, I slabbed large silver galena rocks into 1/2" slices and set them in a walnut 4' x 6' frame mounted to marine plywood and filled it with Clear resin and made a table. Absolutely beautiful. The area you were in today looks mighty familiar to me. Last time i was there was in the early 70's. Sure was nice to see it all again.. Thanks for the adventure.. Be safe.
Absolutely beautiful day Gly! Everything turning green and great weather, can't get much better than that! Swinging that big rock buster brings back plenty of memories out rockhounding with the family, and what a find to get tired out on! Just beautiful minerals! Thanks for another great adventure and amazing views. Always look forward to what comes next!
Hi friend Gly , Australia Watching . This area is so nice, filled with awesome views and l just love the tracks , reminds me of my old 1984 KTM 595 stroked single cylinder 2 stroke trial bike days . Todays drone work is so awesome . See now how smart your vision was to get them for the channel . After years of walking looking for new mine are gone . Great way to find new mine gems for the channel . Sub not going up?????????. This is wrong . Love this episode ; think l mite watch it again . Keep well and safe . look forward to next week .
That was a lot of Galena Gly. Not only the Galena was beautiful but the desert was ready to open its wonderous display of beauty. Thank you for sharing with us all and take care of yourself.
Thanks gly once again ! Picturesque of my childhood by the Vulture mine...(Wickenburg ).. ALSO SHOWING , how hard those miners worked on those tunnels ! Yes , some dynamite , PICK , SHOVEL AND SLEDGEHAMMER !😂
Hey Gly. I was thinking that a great song to play while you were making little rocks out of big rocks would’ve been “working on a chain gang”. As always you threw out another great video and can’t wait to see more. Thanks for your hard work and for sharing it with us
You have good friends who help out. What about that hanging man on the bar. I like you showing us new stuff. Whoa, that is a road less traveled. Beautiful drone footage. You swing that sledge like a champ. What a beauty of a specimen. Thanks Gly, you made my day.
Another FANTASTIC Adventure!!!! Your skills with the Drone amaze me and how you can maneuver in and show stuff up close!!!! Love the area your in from the air and what you can see of the terrain and expand your area of adventure.
Hello Gly , awesome re adventure . New things to see with all your new equipment . That would be an adventure going down the incline shaft , but risky and dirty. Be safe , can’t wait till next weekend!👍🏻
Great video and fantastic rockhounding, Gly! Your drone work is exceptional, as well - we look forward to your geology lessons using aerial photography and then ground exploration, as well as your mining technology and history information. Keep up the great work - we love it!
Just got my Abandoned & Forgotten Places sweatshirt from Gly's shop - super fast shipping, highest quality manufacturing, awesome customer service, and amazing graphic designs! What a great item to wear to Easter Jeep Safari later this month in Moab - we'll be advertising for Gly with some great swag!
So thrilled to find your channel. My husband and I are retiring next year and are hitting the roads of Nevada and Arizona, to find mines and to search out rocks and miners (rockhounding) in our 1962 GMC 4x4. Something that I'm not sure if you know about is that there are mines thar contain Uraniums. You should be able to find a map of those mines for each state on state government websites, as the mines are not marked at their locations. Looking forward to watching more of your videos!!!
Thank you very much. Beautiful day. If you get some size around the same shape maybe I could buy some and make some jewelry out of them. Just thinking. You gave me a nice outing. GOD bless you and stay safe.
Fantastic! The whole place has so much galena! Slightly suspect how meticulous you broke that big rock to little ones... Ever in an old timey prison? ..lol.. Great show! Thanks
@Gly ... In suspense now !! Any chance you could bottom that incline shaft and let us see whats down there please? Back in the day I would be down there like a rat in the drain pipe
Gly, when I see you all geared up, I just can't imagine you doing a do-si-do. I guess anything is possible though. Be good and safe my fave mine explorer!⚒
Good morning ,, Gly . Old Bob is now fully stocked, locked, and barrel.. The future is looking bright gotta wear shades😂. Gly after all that hard work did u find what u were looking for 😊. What an adventurous time u had. Thank you for the natural look.
Nice bustin' ! Don't remember offhand but does that shaft intersect with the workings you investigated before? If no, would you come back when Laura gets there and rope in? Looking forward to the revisitations.
...👍🏾🙏👍🏾✨✨✨HEY BOB... THOSE SOME GOOD LOOKING ROCK YOU BROKE DOWN INTO A LOT PIECE AND THAT DEEP HOLE ...NO i WOULDN'T GET CLOSED TO THAT HOLE BY DROPPING THAT ROCK DOWN THAT HOLE BUT IT WAS DEEP AS YOU SIR CONTINUALLY STAY UP AND STAND GRATEFUL AND LOVES AND SAFETY AS I WILL SEE YOU IN YOUR NEXT VIDEO SO OKAY LATER SIR...✨✨✨👍🏾🙏👍🏾...
You might want to look into a hammer drill and the mine dynamite sticks about 2 to 3” long and an 1/8” round. Would make quick work of that rock with less work?😊
Surprised that shaft doesn't have some sort of steel grate cover, so people don't fall in. Maybe you could rig up something that could span the hole with a spool of rope and lower a remote-control camera down in there instead of roping in yourself. seems like it would be safer.
I'm sure I'm not the first to ask this, but why didn't you just pick up the many pieces that were already there instead of taking all that time breaking up the one big rock?

Welcome back Bucket, good to see you back. Remember you still have to be a gentle bucket and let Laura have the front seat.

Love the desert in the springtime. I was kind of expecting the Benny Hill music while you were splitting that rock open.
Thanks Gly, every time you say "I'm gonna show you the shaft" I turn into my 13 year old self and giggle!
Ya, giggle.
😂
Fantastic. I really enjoyed the variety. I am glad you explain about stuff. Thanks.

“Gly”: Thanks! I’m happy you enjoyed this one. 👍
Another great explore Gly. Yeah, we don't need to go underground, every episode. Not, when there are so many cool things, laying about on the surface.
I just love these drone shots, we are to get snow this Tuesday in western Canada.
Another FANTASTIC Adventure!!!! Your skills with the Drone amaze me and how you can maneuver in and show stuff up close!!!! Love the area your in from the air and what you can see of the terrain and expand your area of adventure.
Gly - professional boulder breaker! Beautiful scenery too. Thanks for the video.

Its a hearty welcome back to Mister Bucket. Gly is just a side show.
“Gly”: He’s always stealing my thunder.
@@AbandonedandForgottenPlaces Not abandoned and not forgotten - The bucket.
Welcome back Bucket!!! Be nice to Laura!!
Reminds me of some of the 'roads' (?) in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. LOL

Flowers are out for a couple weeks in Calif, its early.
Orbit's for Orbit's 👀 get em Gly!!!; )
I enjoyed the drone views. It looks soo-oo Az. I'd like one of those Galena samples. Thanks for taking us along.
Ghost towns are abandoned places too. Have at it Gly, show us everything old and abandoned :)
Thank you very much. Beautiful day. If you get some size around the same shape maybe I could buy some and make some jewelry out of them. Just thinking. You gave me a nice outing. GOD bless you and stay safe.
Thanks for the video. Looks like you got some good specimens.
Nice little adventure, Gly, beautiful country .
It's time to get the rope out and go where now one has ever been .
Pete Australia 🇦🇺
I miss those Gly's shorts. Ought to be something you can do one on.
Another great episode Gly, I think Laura should come back in april dressed as the Easter Bunny 😂✌❤🙏🍻🇬🇧
Great adventure! I think you might have missed an additional at 29.19 hi up on the hill in the background.
Gly, how do you find your way back to civilization, when in these places? Bread crumbs as you go, LOL
Very nice indeed….im glad your back
Go Gly, goooooo!! Also, hey bucket, totally love your tan!
Dude, excellent haul! Hard work pays off. Look at all the Beauties 💚💚💚
Fantastic! The whole place has so much galena!
Slightly suspect how meticulous you broke that big rock to little ones...
Ever in an old timey prison? ..lol..
Great show! Thanks
Years of chopping wood in Wisconsin and Wyoming probably to stay warm😊
"Nooooo, I just came out of it" were the last words from the rock falling into the shaft.
cordless roto hammer would make quick work of that sir. that or a 4lb sledge with short handle and a masons chisel to concentrate the blows 👍
Howdy Gly. at 23:40 you say."let me get around this MESQUITE bush", fyi it's a CREOSOTE bush... not nitpickin' just thought you'd like to know
Had an idea, mini crane that mounts to your trailer hitch with a remote that would let you lower yourself down some of these incline shafts.
What about using that rotating torpedo camera you've used in the past.
Do you know how much lead and silver is in it? That’s enough for a assy?
@Gly ... In suspense now !! Any chance you could bottom that incline shaft and let us see whats down there please? Back in the day I would be down there like a rat in the drain pipe
“Gly”: Oh, I have much better places to explore in the coming weeks. You’re gonna love it, stay tuned!

Around 3:04 any of those "Risky" Maneuvers the "Dippy-Do," the "Wiggle-Woo" or the "Butt-Pucker?"
I love Arizona, i miss that place.
That deep inclined shaft looks like a job for a camera on a rope tp be lowered into. Didn't you have a contraption like that gly?
Looking a little pale still Mr. Bucket, but good to have Ya back. Howdy Gly, nice explore.... thanks ⛏⚒⛏ Hey Bob🚙
Get it???? lookin alittle pail. ha.
Another great one gly!

“Gly”: The last time I do-si-doed I got complaints from the neighbors.
+Thanks Gly, I finally won an auction! You are appreciated friend.
Yay, Bucket!!!! But, when Laura gets back, you may need your own channel.
Another great show. Wish I was there.
May I make a suggestion for your website? Change categories to store or merchandise. Something that will help your viewers find your merch.
You could have used the Schnozzo-Vision on that Vertical Shaft;
Good hammer swinging Gly! That'll get rid of those spare pounds!
Hahaha, nice Tann Bucket! Cheers Gly 😂😂😂 ✌❤🙏🍻🇬🇧

@@AbandonedandForgottenPlaces yes,,, as any little boy would.😊👀😎😏
Could you demonstrate how they dug those shafts that are vertical and 150-300 ft. Hoists, buckets, sweat, blood.
I love me some Galena. 😍

A good rockhound never hogs a site !
Did I see a little copper on the margins of the main vein? That shaft looks like Schnoz territory.

I know!! maybe because it is getting Spring out now. lol
Just imagine breaking and hauling that out daily. Talk about tough!
