I think it's the facial expressions on the actors faces that really did this one in, they still seem horrified in a traumatizing way and all the rooms they're in still look dark and dirty, ultimately if it was just about context they would have done a fine job.
This. With things getting marked up these days for "cartoon violence" or "intense themes", G is...babies. PG means nothing. With the fear on the faces and the tenseness of the scenes, despite the graphic stuff being censored, this seems a solid PG for today. Nothing really *bad*, but still somewhat scary...which was their goal. The problem being, with the censors today, I really don't think anything can be horror and G. I think to be scary enough for horror, you're probably getting too scary for G.
Ten years from now, Niko's kids will be flipping through a streaming service, and the real Saw will be available. Remembering how much they enjoyed it as little children, they'll excitedly click on it. Twenty minutes in, Niko walks into the room to find his kids frozen in terror. Years and years of therapy will follow- for Niko. The kids, they'll be fine. They're kids.
I think its cause of the dark, blue filter over the image, and the oxygen masks. If they could make it more colorful and less hospital-y I think it'd be closer to G
I'm really happy to be seeing Wren's wife making her first official appearance here. Last time I heard her was when in the first Offensive Bowling Animations video, Wren told us her mom's a pastor, and he doesn't want her to see his animation featuring Jesus in a split.

If you want to be in for a scare, you should know that A. A. Milne's book series recently fell into the public domain, which means Disney no longer owns exclusive rights to the books. Indie filmmaker Rhys Frake-Waterfield is gonna be releasing a horror reimagining of the book, called Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood & Honey. The story of the movie is that Christopher Robin stopped visiting his friends in the Hundred-Acre-Wood, and he stopped bringing them food to eat, so they soon became feral, and now embark on a quest for revenge. You should see the movie, and to say that nostalgia would come at you as trauma would be an understatement.

The thing about final destination is its about people dying while doing ordinary stuff. the G version would just be them completing their task and not dying.

Because the violence and awful things are so few and far between, and its more about the story about the people who are trapped, what they'll do under pressure, and a mystery about who the villain is and why they put the main characters in this situation to begin with
Part of it because the first film was very humble. It had a super low budget and was a first time thing for the ones really making it. I only ever watched 2 and 3 since, but it just became full on gore porn after the first movie.

So funny how he's afraid to do the reverse bear trap scene in this version of the movie. Honestly, he'd be in for a shock when someone told him about how Saw's co-creator Leigh Whannel suffered in the same way. Basically, Saw's creators shot this short film called Saw 0.5, in which Leigh Whannel played the protagonist who gets the reverse bear trap on, and manages to get it off. The thing is, rather than using something more harmless like they did in the actual movies, Saw's creators used an actual functioning trap made by their engineer friend, and as far as I'm concerned, the rust used was also real. Poor Whannel wouldn't even see what a massive success this franchise he made with James Wan would become. His acting career might've even been CUT SHORT.

The behind the scenes stuff is fascinating. Making death traps safe for repeated use during filming is so complicated. My favorite is the needle pit, for the psychological component. Seeing them take out each metal needle and replacing it with rubber tubing makes me appreciate the work put into this. They actually had to stop and re-check every single needle because they suspected halfway through that they accidentally dropped a live needle in there. They thought it would be one day, two days tops. Lol no. =)
9:31 I would love the concept of just a lollipop in their mouth, and while they’re slowly enjoy their candy the reverse bear trap just pulls the lollipop out.
Of course Wren can do any of these shots. He's breaking some part of himself for real every other month with his Onewheel. Also loved the part where Jordan asked Jan why he's laughing. Literally LOL'ed at that.

Wren just brightens any video he is in. he is so fun to watch
I love that Niko's kids were involved a little here-- I had no clue he had a budding family and it's beautiful to see it :)
them kids are gonna have the hardest butterfly effect of their lives
8:25 “Stop that tickles!” *turns into a demon*
That was just amazing! I can't even grasp how much work went into that. Your content is entertaining asf and at the same time educational, just great! So thank you!
I think it's so funny that visual artists are grossed out by Saw. I specifically love the Saw and Final Destination movies just because I love to see the visuals. Every time I see a new gag, I immediately start to try and figure out how it was done, just like the Crew does on the couch.
Lol no. =)
These three guys are making a great team.... got me on the tickles hahaha 100% commitment
yea
I would’ve loved to see the rack made family friendly. That’s a challenge i dont think is possible.
Editing is on point lmao
"the perfect sequel does not exist"
the perfect sequel:
Im consistently impressed by Corridor Crew’s work.
I just noticed something that i now can't unsee... 17:04 Matt and Nick look nearly identical. Are they bothers?!
9:31 I would love the concept of just a lollipop in their mouth, and while they’re slowly enjoy their candy the reverse bear trap just pulls the lollipop out.
@8:16 I almost snarfed my coffee laughing!
Idk why but the humour in this episode hits so fucking hard I can't breathe
As goofy as it is, I want to see the full movie now 🤣
Love how Jan is still using his finger
Yes they made it.
Of course Wren can do any of these shots. He's breaking some part of himself for real every other month with his Onewheel. Also loved the part where Jordan asked Jan why he's laughing. Literally LOL'ed at that.
The blending of the scenes was flawless, I genuinely expected good but not thaaat good, the only bad part was the handkerchief coming out of the actress mouth, but the rest was freaking amazing
When Niko said the cool guy award isn't really rated g, I thought he was going to finish off and say "it's rated CG".
Finally! I've been waiting for them to make Saw G rated for so long now.
The pie eating champ is just napping... face down in the pie.
i dont really know why, but this video felt like even better quality as usual, loved it!
It's just the atmosphere makes it already creepy af.
3:30 You know the movie is high-quality when it makes 3 VFX designers flinch and look away xD
Honestly, the environments, lighting and acting elements are probably way too scary for children. But the VFX are G at least xD
Practical effects, that's why it looks so good
“Mom, can we go see Saw?”
“We have Saw at home”
Saw at home:
10:05 AAAa, Wren and his wife are so CUTE TOGETHER!
That into sequence is easily one of the funniest things you guys have done.
