I was never excited about cooking until I got my Instant Pot. The one pot concept to cook and clean is great. Wow, after watching a few of your videos, I’m now looking to cook often! My husband is a happy man! Your videos are fun, easy to follow and the way you offer helpful (add the noodles...they don’t have to be neat:) comments is so encouraging. The selection of recipes are just what I want and they’re easy to make. Thanks for my new ‘hobby’.
I just tried the pot in pot Lasagna today, but substituted some fried, crumbled Italian sausage for the veggies. In one word - WOW!!!! It was SO GOOD!!! Oh, one other thing, I had forgotten to get a new package of motzarella, so saved what I had for the top, but found a big piece of parmesan and shaved that within the layers and some on top - really, really good!!!! I will make it again!!!! Thanks!
I love your Instant Pot recipes. I'm a senior living in a motel. No kitchen, no stove etc. So I recently bought one of these. I'm relearning how to do most of my cooking/baking in it. I plan on buying a large toaster oven/convection oven too. Kind of freeing actually...thanks.
You may want to look at the new one by instant pot it has more features such as air frying and more comes with 2 lids 1 for air frying and one for pressure cooking. Whatever you choose you can't go wrong.
Thank you you are the greatest cook I have ever seen delicious food with minimal effort and time, most of time when I finish cooking something delicious I say it's worth it, you changed my life, thank you, thank you, thank you
I made the lasagne tonight and it was delicious! I am also on WW and I just changed some of the ingredients and used a sauce that I make myself. It was very WW friendly. Never did I think I would like meatless spaghetti but I actually like this better!
Hello. I do not have an Instant Pot. I have a pressure cooker and tried the lasagna recipe. I did add some onion powder to the seasoning, added some hot Italian sausage, and some Parmigiano-reggiano to the top. BTW not usually a fan of ricotta; however, the mix you had took it to another place. Need to cook longer in my pressure cooker then perfecto! Grazie! So easy and my husband is very pleased-ate 2 1/2 servings and that was without the bottom layer of noodles fully cooked.
We have always had a big dinner for our Thanksgiving. But things change and kids grow up and leave home. We wanted to change too. So we decided to order a large pizza and we went to the show and relaxed. It was the best Thanksgiving ever. I realized I had been killing myself off and not enjoying what Thanksgiving was all about.. Spending time with those we love. Of course if I had had a instant pot things would have been different.
These look great! Never tried pot in pot. My mom uses equal parts ground beef and pork breakfast sausage in her meatloaf, it's such a great combo! Definitely going to try these!
as im new to this type of cooking im using a pressure pro had it since april 2018 never hardly used it got out and now want to use it all the time great videos this will help me a lot
I love watching your Instapot recipes. I also like how you always say "remember to make sure the button is on seal and not release". I've done that and burnt everything inside. I also forgot to replace the silicone ring on the inside of the lid and burnt everything inside. So, two out of the first four recipes put me off for awhile. I'm watching again, and can make a good chicken stew that I share with my little dog. Thank you for all the tips and recipes.
Well, I made the lasagne today. I used gluten free sheets so they were a bit chewy. Heads up if you use these, put a little very hot water on them to give them more moisture and add a few mins to the cooking. My spring clip cake tin was too wide to use with my trivet so I used a loose base tin by completely covered it with foil. Anyway it was very delicious. Thank you Kristen.
I bought my instant pot on marketplace for $40 for an 8 qt. My first foray was a beef stew and my second one was deconstructed cabbage rolls. My third was chicken legs; I had really seasoned the legs and that had flavoured the water, so I just thickened it. So good. I love my pot.
I wanted to come back and say the lasagna was absolutely delicious. I added some ground Italian sausage and minced garlic and its divine. So easy! I have the poke cake cooking in the instant pot now! I can't wait to try it.
@@debrt1523 It was a big hit, I did have to put it back in for another twenty minutes because it was still "liquidy" I got a Betty Crocker fudge cake mix so I don't know if that had something to do with it. I have never had a cake that moist, seriously.
Hi second sister. You are awesome. I made the meatloaf and mashies this past week. Totally delicious, but my guys only wanted ketchup on top when I put it in the oven, so I had to skip the sauce. Maybe next time or maybe just me. The mashies were so good. I has a bit of the meatloaf left over, but none of the taters. Thx, it was very convenient.
This is amazing, I got this insta pot as a gift. I'm learning so much from you. My kids are finiky, last night I made chicken with rice. So good. Thank you so much!
My oven is broken and they don’t make the motherboard anymore! It’s only 6 years old! Trying to find meals to cook with my Instapot! Made the lasagna tonight and the first words out if my husbands mouth were Thus is a keeper!!!! Delicious!! Thanks a million!!!!
Can I just say totally "AWESOME"!!! Wow Kristan, those recipes and the pot in pot method are all fantastic recipes!! Thank you so much for showing us all of these. The cakes look wonderful. Actually, that apple one is so easy I just have to try it. Hope your new home is coming along quickly for you. Thanks again and I just love ya bunches.... Claudia
Just received my duo instant pot. Made 2 chicken breast with potatoes. That was easy and delicious. I'm doing mac cheese tomorrow! You're right it is a bit daunting but I watched/subscribed and feel more confident, thank you!
I love my instant pot , I been playing with different recipe, I made banana bread , and for the first time I made your yogurt it was amewome,I use my instant pot almost everyday since it's hot in TX, I love your receipt thanks , u expand everything going
Love your channel! I'm new to Instant Pot and your recipes have been so helpful. Didn't realize pot in pot was an option. Can't wait to make lasagna and meat loaf this way. This will make it so much easier and less messy :-) Thanks for sharing!
Awesome recipes Kristen - I really enjoy yours recipes because the're so user friendly. I can't even imagine anyone being upset with you. You are amazing!! :) Thank you!!
That dump cake looks so so good! Reminds me of my aunts apple crisp......I wonder if you could incorporate a layer of oatmeal on top with the butter for the flavor of it all.........then add cream or a scoop of ice cream to top it off. My husband would love that ......oh my goodness all these recipes look so so good! I am going to try this with perhaps cherries depending what I have in my pantry and I have to cook that meat loaf! Thank you for sharing! Blessings!

Thank you! Pot in pot cooking means much easier cleanup and no chance of burning anything. One suggestion I saw on another channel was to cook meatloaf in a bundt pan for more even cooking.
I've had my IP for years, but I learned a lot from this video. Thanks for the neat tips. I've only used P-n-P for rice/quinoa, etc. I'm inspired now. Thanks!
We gave the Apple Crumble recipe a try. No apple pie filling and no cake mix. So, we substituted with cherry pie filling and made a crumble with flour sugar and butter. Once assembled with an additional 2 ounces of melted butter on top we cooked as directed. Before we took it out of the pot, we used the Fryer Lid and Broiled it foe 6 minutes. Yum! Wish I could post a picture but will put it on Face Book under Leo Newman.
Looking forward to trying that last recipe. I imagine you can use any cake mix and any chunky fruit pie filling. I'd like to try it with chocolate cake mix and cherry pie filling.

I do the meat loaf and potatoes a lot. Sometimes cut up the potatoes, skins on, smashed with a little sour cream, butter, garlic and chives. Just for a change.
I’m new to this and have a question please? Why can’t you just put the springform pan right into the oven once it’s filled with lasagne or meat loaf? Your recipes look delicious, thank you ❤

The cake takes longer to cook in the IP than in a traditional oven....but I'm sure it being super moist makes up for the longer cook time! With that being said....I'm going to make an IP poke cake!!! 🤤
Same here. I’ve made a few of these recipes and the cooking times for all of them have been grossly miscalculated. I’d rather be given the RIGHT time and it sit a little longer than have to put it in the oven in the end anyway. We all know it’s not a microwave!
I've cooking cake in my Pot 7 times in the last 2 months and I've only gotten 2 cakes to come out right. A bunch of them came out dense in the center. I don't mean uncooked, but extremely dense. 2 of them came put perfect. It is possible but I'm thinking there are outside factors in play. Ie how hot os the water you put in? Do you let it sit 4 min before releaseing? What kind of pan are you using? I've found that it's just inconsistent.
She made a video showing off the set of tools: ruclips.net/video/i-vfrHDRR9U/видео.html I found them on amazon as single items with keywords like "lifting clamp for pressure cooker".
Hi nice to meet ya. I've been thinking about getting an instant pot. I do admit to being a little confused. Is it intended for someone with out access to a stove/oven? Or someone doesn't like ovens? The cobbler, if you did it in an oven it would have a nice brown and crunch top and the lasagna you put it in the oven anyway. Why not skip the instant pot and put it directly into the oven? I've been making cheater baked ziti and lasagna that way most of my life. With the little pan you used the cook time would be only about 20-25 minutes total instead of the 10-15 minute warm up, 24 minute cook, and 10-15 minute steam release. The other two are good ideas. Baking with water bath can be a pain in the but. Like, I can see making a cheese cake with this, because of the water bath. And it would be easy enough to hit it with a torch like a creme brulee to brown the top. The meat loaf, wont that end up gray and slimy instead of brown with a crust. Although I do see the benefit of one pot cooking in relation to cleaning after dinner. I apologize if that came off rude. I'm really intrigued with the pressure cooker aspect of the pot. As I've used a stove top pressure cooker a few times over the years. Not often but a few but enough to know that that is all about. The other options seem a little gimmicky. Do they actually save time in cooking and cleaning?
I love all your instincts pot Recipes, Thank you very much I tried last night the Apple Cobbler dessert Of course they complaint they're very critic about everything. They complaint was it was to dougie, in other words he was uncooked I like it and my lady friend liked it. Next time should I leave it longer? Or put it in the oven for a few minutes? Thank you Michael from California

As a 40yr old man I can't believe I'm actually saying this but I really want an Instant pot now. How did I not know these existed.

Because of the moisture in the pot- it will give it a more wet texture. I would broil it for a minute or two if they want it more crisp!
