    Really like the looks of the shadow and AluCab combo.
    Looking very comfy w/new mattress and other mods. Hope the new plug for your diesel heater is working well for you. That's gotta be working to take the children, and your better half on a cold weather outing. The electric blanket
    Kept you warm on the lowest setting for the snowy mountain trip. I'm wondering how it wore on your Jaquery power, and were you happy with that? Take care. May your paths be safe, and God bless you and yours on all your adventures as well.

    Hi Ed. I have the 2021 Ram 1500 Limited with the All Cab Canopy Cabin. I had the slide in table added when I got my AC. I was wondering what roof rack you are using and if you know if it will fit with the slide table. Thanks and keep up the awesome content!

    I want to ask, have you changed the front and back gears? I have a 2023 Rebel 4x4, and I have an overland build on my truck. I get about 9 miles per gallon. It's because I couldn't regear the front and back ring and pinion. Currently, I have 3.92 gears, but I want to change them to 4.88. Do you know where to get those gears, or can you explain what I can do to improve my mileage?

    @KrokemOutdoors, Edward, does Full River recommend draining their AGM batteries completely? Generally AGMs can only be drained to 50% or they can suffer catastrophic failure.
    I am curious to read your response, because if they do state that they can be fully drained, I will be purchasing a couple for my solar system.

    Have you had any problems with dinging up the body panel between your back bumper and your back wheel? If you have what solutions are there to stoping that from happening? I’ve been looking for high clearance bumpers but can’t seem to find any that protect that spot.

    Did you ever get the rear suspension upgraded, especially now in view of all the extra weight?

      It has the Dobinsons hd spring, but I am considering a beefier spring from them that will be released soon

    If you could start over would you still choose the 1500 Rebel over an Rebel HD platform?

    Beautiful looking build, congrats! Question: Do you mind measuring the mattress size in the tent section? I have asked multiple reviewers, installers and checked alu-cabs websites worldwide and can't get an answer from anywhere. Forget geo-politics etc, the mattress size in an alu-cabin seems to be the worlds' best kept secret thus far!

    Does your transfer case ever overheat? I hear that’s a common issue on one’s that have the “4WD Auto” option

    • @KrokemOutdoors

      haven't ran into that issue yet

  • @robthewaywardwoodworker9956
    @robthewaywardwoodworker9956 Год назад

    Quite the build. I don't mean to be rude, but isn't this turning a truck into a van? Wouldn't it be better to start with a 4wd van and go from there? It's all super cool, but it seems to me that this would be a better build for a beefier truck than a 1500. Just my thoughts. I'd love to hear some of the logic behind it all. Like I say, super cool build and all the gear is top notch. Cheers.

    • @KrokemOutdoors
      @KrokemOutdoors  Год назад +3

      Good question!
      I think for an off-road family rig, this route would be more feasible than a van. When the vehicle is occupied with the partner and two kids (and their car seats), the truck crew cab configuration is more accommodating compared to a van, with its seating options. The truck also allows for a better way to haul the extra gear while not sacrificing the sleeping area (wedge tent), whereas a van might not accommodate the same way. There is definitely a good argument to be had to use a van, and perhaps if I did not have children, I might go that route. But the beauty of building a rig is that there are different options to fit the unique lifestyles/needs out there.
      Cheers

    • @KrokemOutdoors

      Payload is 2,000 lbs., so everything combined is still well within the limit
