I bought a 19' Laramie in summer of 2018. Fully loaded for $43k cash. Same truck today is about 80 grand and isn't as nice. Easily the best vehicle I've ever owned. I have 71,000 miles on it now, and I still look forward to driving it to work every day. Borla S-Type catback exhaust system is loud, and it's lifted on 35" Nitto Ridge Grapplers. Dream truck for me still. Best powertrain combo ever with the HEMI & masterful ZF 8-speed
I bought a 2024 Rebel new. Love it. When the Good Year tires wear out, I will level and go with 35" as well. For your wife, get the power steps that hide away when door is closed. She is going to get what she want's anyway. hehe. Next year when we retire, buying a 20' travel trailer and traveling across the country with it. All the best. Jim from Georgia.
It's amazing that this generation of Ram actually has proper amber rear turn signals, unlike pretty much all other pickups in North America. However, I'm quite disappointed that the new generation downgrades them to all red taillights for some inexplicable reason.
Thanks for your review. I have basically the same truck ,but I do have the air suspension. I purchased mine in 2019, and it is a 2020 model. I have never had any issues with it at all, and I LOVE it!
I have a Tacoma now. My dream truck was a Rebel but I couldn't afford it at the time. Grateful for my taco because it's the first vehicle I've bought for myself with 0 help financially but I'm curious to what I'm missing.. 😔 The Tacoma is much smaller on the inside than I expected and having a wife, a 7 year old and 4 year old has shown me I need something bigger. Plus my wife says it rides like a monster truck 😂😂
@DeeboComing I just rented for comfort. For ownership the Tacona will go 400,000 miles. The Rebel will begin to fail at 75,000 miles and need a new tranny and engine lol
It doesn’t have a muffler delete it is stock like that but both the REBLE and TRX are very loud from factory. And the TRX doesn’t even have the rear can style resonators it’s just a mesh screen welded on the pipes
The Rebel is a whole lot of truck for the money. It’s very fun to drive and if I could get the Horsepower to about 450 it would be perfect. That said it is basically the best stock 1/2 ton truck with off road capability on the market.
only thing i hate about newer rams is the infotainment, i like to replace with aftermarket with better subs and speakers and its very difficult or near impossible on some models to replace.
Got a 2020 limited great truck love it but at 70,000miles it got a problem with something drawing power and it kills the battery after a day sitting there but other than that it’s great
Did you have any trouble balancing your tires? I was always skeptical of less known brands because balancing can be a nightmare, but I’m curious what was your experience? Also are you noticing sloppy transmission shifts from first to second gear?
did that skid plate come stock on 2020? mine is silver the black is nice..... are your Intermittent setting on your wipers still good? my turn stick dial isnt workin right

Bro 2 of mine had zf and they are 100% not bomb proof. The shift from 1st to 2nd is bad as well. To each his own but after driving a Japanese car you see how bad RAM really is. Plus the cost, my god the cost is insane for their new trucks. 80k for a nice RAM is complete BS.
Stock 2022 Ram Rebel. I used to get 14-15 but after I installed a solid bed cover, I was getting 16-17. The highest, I get when I drive freeway long trips is 18-19. I just use cheap gas but I know when I get better gas, I get even better MPG.
I wanna put 35 on my rebel but I’m worried it would be a bit much for my 30ft camper weights about 5800lbs loaded , so I’m not sure if I wanna go to 34s or take the risk
@@akita989 anything 3” and less I do 34s just to keep more power. If its over 3 inches you need 35s just to look normal. @@Marmaduke00 facts ha, ya my rebel has a 3 in front and 3.5 in rear to keep the rake because I don’t have air bags to level the truck out, ended up just going with heavy duty coils instead.
@45snakebite...... Why do you not like the rotary shifter? All the way to the left is "PARK", smd all the way to the right is "DRIVE", just like a column shifter. Not a lot of difference, but it is out of the way. There is one safety that i absolutely love, and that is; If you run the truck off, and you forgot to put it in park, it automatically goes into PARK, plus it sets the parking brake as well!
@@1gr8oil I can tolerate it on the center console but vertically on the dash just feels ergonomically incorrect. I love my 19 rebel. Purchased new in October 2019. Zero issues whatsoever.
Same here. I need new tires, so it's my excuse to now lift it 6 inchs and put 37s on. Any suggestions on any sites or parts to add hp?
