golem fists existing in the same game as moonveil is fucking ridiculous, moonveil R2 has everything the golem fists wish they had like damage, poise damage, uses less stamina, goes further and can combo truly miyazakis vision
i wonder if you could salvage this weapon by having the r2 projectile always break poise and giving it higher hitstun like what caestus used to do. having the ability to vortex at a slightly extended range would make up for the higher stam cost and inability to buff
I've personally found it to be effective in duels specifically and one handed. Offstoc on the offhand and flame of the redmanes can make opponent dodge in your rock projectile. The fact you can track with it from a 180 degree angle also catches people off guard often. Two headed turtle talisman is needed though, its better than veridian amber for this weapon.
Would the offhand shout axe and shout talisman be a good buff for this? Seeing this mixed with poison tali, and mushroom head would be hilarious. Toxic martial art.

Golem fists are either super easy to get or super hard but they suck both ways

You just need to equip golem fist in every weapon slot. Then it's very awesome and viable (real).

You have to treat it as a Caestus with a Gimmick. Fish with R2s and try to hit with your fist more than the projectile.

If you want to use a weapon for it's intended use of killing, the good time is dependant on the review. Otherwise you can cosplay all you like.
The absolute joy and fun of dealing 15 damage with half your stamina bar against a mage that has used noobveil 5 times non stop
