    Minor mistake spotted! The red plastic lane divider, you know the one that has only plastic on one side actually goes on the other way so the rubber is on the right side, so on the lane the allows you the ball save with a little bump. Also did you check the flasher bulb in the corkscrew, it was hard to see if it was actually working. I have this machine at home, got it totally trashed and brought it back to life, and actually built my own led displays and display driver board for it. Has been a lot of fun ever since. Cheers Ron, was a nice repair video as usually!

    As a teenager I worked at a Chocolate themed amusement park. We had a wooden roller coaster called the Comet. We had several Comet machines in the arcade. All of them were worn within an inch of their lives. I don't know anyone that doesn't like this machine. Super fun. Try PC7 two part epoxy on those holes. It works great. Not as fast as your repair, but it will bond anything permanently. You can fill that slot in and redrill the hole. The military uses it. It's made in PA. I have seen PC7 used for some crazy stuff. I was always .. that's never going to work.... and it always did. The list of things the manufacturer states is just crazy. I have used it to fix cracked old steering wheels. It is amazing stuff.

    I have an old 1969 Action pinball game by Chicago Coin Company. One of the holes for the plastic standoffs got a bit rounded out. Instead of doing the toothpick trick, they just drilled a new hole 1/2" to the side so the standoff bumper is outside the plastic cover. (Which totally messes with the gameplay.) I wish they hadn't done that. I can fix it, using the toothpick trick, but now I'll have a small hole in the painted part of the playfield. And if I patch it, I doubt if I can color match the paint.

    • @louisvillaescusa
      @louisvillaescusa 11 месяцев назад

      BTW, I learned the toothpick trick while stage managing ice shows. The ice skaters would come off the ice in a panic and yell, "My blade is loose!" So I would run over, pull out the loose screw, put some wood slivers in the hole and replace the screw so that they could finish the show. Worked every time.
