    horsehair before nylon? shouldn't you finish with the softest brush? please explain...

      Horsehair is stiffer than nylon, you do finish with the softest brush - the nylon one.

      @@ieazoa3770 weird because other brands of rotobrushes say the opposite. Start with nylon and finish with horsehair...

      @@matt02468 I've found that too, however in practice when using horsehair it leaves a matt finish, the nylon polishes it out to a glossy finish. Remember remove the wax, then polish out the structure, hope this helps.

      @@ieazoa3770 my nylon is short and stiff. The horsehair seems more flexible....

      @@matt02468 Mine are the same, I was skeptical at first but after seeing the matt vs. gloss finish they leave it seemed to make sense though the horsehair may be longer, therefore more flexible the hair itself is coarser, or at least that seems logical to me.

    RUclips is full of totally opposite opinions about rotation and moving direction. Personally I think we should not go over the wax dust, that we just removed from the base.

    Does the rotation direction matter?

    • @SwixSportAS
      @SwixSportAS  Год назад

      Yes. It is important that the brush rotates in the same direction that the skis are moving: From tip to bottom

      Look up xcman roto brush on Amazon, $166 CAD for the handle, guard, brass, nylon and horse hair brushes. Works good so far and I mean for 160 bucks I don’t think you could go wrong.
