  • An examination of the 600 words that could well still come up on the GRE. I will give my definitions, examples and analysis of all 600 words in a concise format. You could call this the most epic 2024 GRE wordlist.

    One of the best resources I have found to answer the question of what are the best words to know for 2022 GRE test-takers. A rough estimate of how many words you need for the GRE, if you are short on time. Will give you a good sense of how hard GRE vocabulary is.

    The GRE and GMAT are two of most used graduate exams for those seeking to study a Masters Degree or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree. The Graduate Record Exam and Graduate Management Admissions Test have been taken for over 50 years and are taken by approximately 600,000 and 300,000 people worldwide annually, respectively. These exams are typically taken between the ages of 18-40, by those who have completed, or are about to complete, their Bachelors Degree.

She was admitted into Harvard Business School, The Wharton School of Business, and Columbia Business School (accepted into every school she interviewed for) after graduating from UCLA with a degree in Communication. Hey guys, I gave my gre today, this word list was helpful, I was only referring to magoosh word list before , but doing these words helped me solve 4 extra questions today and indirectly helped understand 2 RC, gave exam on December 6 2021 .
    Also, the level of gre has increased, my math was considerably difficult, first section at level of Manhattan mock and the other one above that. I am a guy who is able to solve all questions in quant and almost have 6 minutes remaining to recheck on average, today I hardly got seconds.
    I would recommend folks to solve all problems in 5lb(do advance quant as well) , and revise concepts of parabolas, trigonometry, geometric progression and binomial theorem as I had references to them while solving, it'll make things easier.

      Hi Aniket,
      can you please tell me if i should do the 1000 words from Magoosh vocab app, these 600 words or Barron's 333, I have my GRE on 29th and have not started Vocab prep so I will need to decide between the 3 (or af any other better option if you can suggest).

    • @anikettikalkar
      @anikettikalkar 2 года назад +17

      @@shreenidhihedaoo6352 hi, you can leave out advance deck of magoosh in that case, I don't recall seeing any word from that , this 600 list is most likely to cover 40% of magoosh (easy+medium deck) as well. Best way to do is Google each word that you learn and make a chart of its synonyms , gre tests the application of the word more than its face value. Like if there's a sentence completion, then the choice of word will have to be linked to some other word/idea in the sentence, just mugging up won't help, hence Google each word and understand it's usage. That's what helped me

    As promised I’m back to rate this word list after my GRE some days ago. I give it …… 🥁 drum roll…..10/10!! 😅Actually I can’t remember much about verbal except that the passages were genuinely interesting. Let’s just say I went thought most of the vocabulary on this channel to include this list and the economist one thoroughly and there were not many words that I absolutely did not know the meaning of or could not deduce contextually what they meant during the exam . I got 166 in verbal.

    Hey, Philip. I want to thank you for all your amazing content. I've been watching your videos on gre vocabulary and it really helped me with the verbal exercises, that were the most nightmarish part of the test for me, as I am an outlandish engineering student. I appreciate the fact that you explain each word in detail, providing real world examples of its use and taking the time to repeat it several times so that the viewer can assimilate. I took the test on Friday and my scores were beyond my expectations (169 quant, 160 verbal) and now I can proceed to my phd applications relieved from this stress. Once again thank you and keep up the good work, you're the best volunteer gre tutor out there!

    I'm new to GRE and planning to take in two months. Your list is straightforward and precise because I already studied more than 100 words from Magoosh GRE flashcard app, and I found their definitions aren't clear sometimes. I'm gonna study this list. I'm not a native speaker. Despite of having a 7 band in IELTS I found GRE verbal is quite hard to master. Thank you so much for the list.

      @@amrutagodase8797 for maths I just solved manhattan’s guide and for english I follow Greg Matt and this Vocab guide. These were enough to get this score. I prepared for almost 2 months for the exam.
