One of the best resources I have found to answer the question of what are the best words to know for 2022 GRE test-takers. A rough estimate of how many words you need for the GRE, if you are short on time. Will give you a good sense of how hard GRE vocabulary is.

The GRE and GMAT are two of most used graduate exams for those seeking to study a Masters Degree or Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree. The Graduate Record Exam and Graduate Management Admissions Test have been taken for over 50 years and are taken by approximately 600,000 and 300,000 people worldwide annually, respectively. Hey guys, I gave my gre today, this word list was helpful, I was only referring to magoosh word list before , but doing these words helped me solve 4 extra questions today and indirectly helped understand 2 RC, gave exam on December 6 2021 .
Also, the level of gre has increased, my math was considerably difficult, first section at level of Manhattan mock and the other one above that. I am a guy who is able to solve all questions in quant and almost have 6 minutes remaining to recheck on average, today I hardly got seconds.
I would recommend folks to solve all problems in 5lb(do advance quant as well) , and revise concepts of parabolas, trigonometry, geometric progression and binomial theorem as I had references to them while solving, it'll make things easier.
Thanks for the comment Aniket and well done on the test!
Hi Aniket,
can you please tell me if i should do the 1000 words from Magoosh vocab app, these 600 words or Barron's 333, I have my GRE on 29th and have not started Vocab prep so I will need to decide between the 3 (or af any other better option if you can suggest).
@@shreenidhihedaoo6352 hi, you can leave out advance deck of magoosh in that case, I don't recall seeing any word from that , this 600 list is most likely to cover 40% of magoosh (easy+medium deck) as well. Best way to do is Google each word that you learn and make a chart of its synonyms , gre tests the application of the word more than its face value. Like if there's a sentence completion, then the choice of word will have to be linked to some other word/idea in the sentence, just mugging up won't help, hence Google each word and understand it's usage. That's what helped me
Which mock test did you take. Can I have your email or contact if possible?

This was my first and last chance to take it because of my really late choice to pursue grad school.
Just writing to let you know how much your channel has an impact. Was consistently getting 310 in my practice tests till I came across your channel. Gave my GRE last week and got a 324 and 4.5 AWA. Recommended this channel to all my friends as it's the single reason for the spike. Thanks again and cheers! ❤️
Very nice Abhishek, well done!!!

@@TheTestedTutorMany thanks! You are indeed a scholar and a gem! With your tutorial, I'm part ways there.
Hey Philip, I am so grateful to have seen your videos on quants as well as verbal, it helped me get a pretty decent score on my first attempt. Thanks to you, I was able to tackle quants with ease & your tips on reading the passage slowly works wonders and did help me score decent on the verbal as well! You are truly godsent!!🙏
As promised I’m back to rate this word list after my GRE some days ago. I give it …… 🥁 drum roll…..10/10!! 😅Actually I can’t remember much about verbal except that the passages were genuinely interesting. Let’s just say I went thought most of the vocabulary on this channel to include this list and the economist one thoroughly and there were not many words that I absolutely did not know the meaning of or could not deduce contextually what they meant during the exam . I got 166 in verbal.

The best one I found, to the point, no idle chat, but full of important information! You speak so clearly and are full of knowledge. At first I was afraid as soon as I heard your British accent, but was able to understand everything for the exception of two or three words, thank you so much!
Philip!!!!!! Thank you thank you in abundance.I've binged watched almost every video of yours during the course of my preparations and they helped me beyond measure! You are a blessing 🥂
I love such videos with vocabulary, would be really amazing to have something like this for the quant section as well. Apart from lessons and tips. More lengthy, with a lot of examples on one theme, for example, 20 examples for data interpretation/ratios.
Grateful for this video! Just finished all the words and now I feel more confident 😊
Best vocab video for GRE words, really helped with learn 600 words with ease. Thanks for making vocab memorising so easy.
Really this list is a paramount resource to ace GRE. I was struggling with the verbal section. But you have provided this list which has a eclectic range of words which are very useful . Wishing you the best success in your future
I feel fortunate to have found your content for free at the right time.
I am genuinely grateful to this channel, it saved my life. 🙏🙏🙏
I really want to thank you for these videos, they are very helpful. These 600 words in a video approach is much better as one can listen to them on the go as you mentioned. You have done so much for me. God bless you 👍❤️
Hey Phil!
Thank you for the guidance you provided throughout my preparation. I did much better than I expected.

Thank you sir, your videos have been helpful as always.
By the way I am from India and preparing for CLAT.
You have been a perfect mentor. I expect more videos in future.
Hey Philip! I love your content and have watched almost all your videos. There are even some videos which I have watched multiple times xD but this kind of video was all I was waiting for. Also, requesting you to please make some RC walkthrough videos for practise because your explanation is very good.
My average score was 148 in verbal but because of this list I was able to score 153 in the real exam
Studying for the GRE thank you for this 🙌🙌🙌
Hey, Philip. I want to thank you for all your amazing content. I've been watching your videos on gre vocabulary and it really helped me with the verbal exercises, that were the most nightmarish part of the test for me, as I am an outlandish engineering student. I appreciate the fact that you explain each word in detail, providing real world examples of its use and taking the time to repeat it several times so that the viewer can assimilate. I took the test on Friday and my scores were beyond my expectations (169 quant, 160 verbal) and now I can proceed to my phd applications relieved from this stress. Once again thank you and keep up the good work, you're the best volunteer gre tutor out there!
Congratulation!!! 169 quant wow! that is amazing!

Hi Philip. Thanks a ton. I got a very decent GRE score. I am a doctor by profession and had opted to give GRE instead of GMAT for admissions to MBA. I had enrolled for Magoosh program which no doubt helped me but I felt something was really missing in their sessions. And trust me, you covered those portions really very well. 1 month is all I had to prepare and the last 10 days of my preparation seeing your videos was the game changer. Thanks a ton because you have really kept your videos open to all. That is really very kind of you. May God bless you Philip. Thanks again...
Nice to meet you, well done with your GRE, I am planning to have the GRE in test on the coming end of November and yet to prepare. Should I go for the exam or what do you advice me as the time has runout ?
After a week of surfing the internet, I found this video. I have tried reading books, doing GRE tests, read some GRE word lists, but to no avail. With great perseverance, I learned words in alphabet order and I am able to remember more than 70% of 600 words in just 1 week. Your lucid demonstration and intelligible examples help me a lot to understand these elusive words.
Thank you so much Vurong, and well done on that incredible achievement
Thank you. God bless you.

I love this video! Very helpful. Just one suggestion - you might think about breaking up the video into titled sections in the cursor for each point in time where you start a new letter? This will help people who accidentally exit the video, and then need to quickly get back to the J words or any other section. Appreciate you, sir!
Thanks I'm only doing these words for the GRE

I tried this time to read along with you; just the words and definitions vs. just listening. I got tired of speaking after 45 min! I'm new to GRE and planning to take in two months. Your list is straightforward and precise because I already studied more than 100 words from Magoosh GRE flashcard app, and I found their definitions aren't clear sometimes. I'm gonna study this list. I'm not a native speaker. Despite of having a 7 band in IELTS I found GRE verbal is quite hard to master. Thank you so much for the list.
