@@SlowedOutOfExistence it just depends on what you're looking for and make sure you prioritize those things. bangkok has an excellent food scene, but it's a big gross dirty city. if you like nature, head down to the south I guess.

Thong lor just has a lot of nice restaurants and bars but the price of the land are not the most expensive compare to the price of the lands in town my friends. In town just only a stupid small house with a small land would cost about 500 millions baht my friends (us$15,000,000).
Afford? Average wage in the USA is $5000 . You can live comfortably in Asia for as low as $1500 per month including rent of a condo with a pool, sauna and gym and yet saving so much money so when you go back home you will be able to actually afford owning your own house. Try doing the same in your home country 🥲
