To be honest, as a guy I wish we had learned more about women's cycles. I'm serious. I had no idea when I was younger as why a girl could be sweet and nice for several weeks and then be very different for a for a week or more. Us guys just don't experience anything like that. I'm pretty sure that I had ended some relationships in high school just having no real idea what she was going through.

Not saying that women need bfs to feel confident, but the right person can bring out the best in you by supporting you and taking care of you. I was a single gal when I moved to SF (a new city for me) from LA and I hated being single because I had to worry about work, rent, making my own meals, and when I got sick, it was the most depressing. I lived alone and I remember my lowest point was when I was trying to hang a clock on the wall by myself and went back and forth about 15 times to see if it was levelled...bc well, I lived alone. Now I have 2 boys aged 8 and 6 with my husband and we live in the bay area. He brings out the best in me and allows me to be the best version of myself.

Unfortunately, my first experience with a Thai lady who lived in Thailand turned out to be a narcissist! After dating long distance, USA-Thailand, and meeting twice, I had to end it because of her attitude and manipulation. It was a shame because she was beautiful, had a great government job, a master's degree, and owned a house. Joyce, your boyfriend is a lucky man!
