Honestly mark i think this can be in one evening or beeing realistic, in two days Max, if you wanna know how to draw heads, focus on the most detail part, the low part, a circle Is good but just as a guide, in a case where i can put the basic shapes in perspective ok, all right, but then you realize That the facial features are important too, the Head Is complex, study the skull, why everything Is like It Is, Lear to do eyes, nose, ears (those ones are tricky) 'cause if you know basic perspective you can make a Head using a box, just like Kim jung gi use to do.
The point of ot being stretched out is to make sure you eat the things you learn in small portions, if you do it all in one night itll be easier to forget
I'll definitely be following this new study schedule once I'm done with the "learn to draw characters" one ! I'm on day 3 of this one 💪 Thanks a lot ! Heads and faces are so hard to draw...
The crying face in the thumbnail 😂😭😭. I don’t draw too many human faces or anything, and I don’t think I’d suck at it, but I’ll do this and compare my faces from start to finish LOL 😂
I love your tutorials and I have improved a lot thanks to your videos. And I would like to say that I would love to see more videos showing the painting style from Zelda's video I really loved the way of painting in that video.
Man just watching your videos made me change how I want to draw anatomy First I wanted to do mostly big heads like an artist i love, but now I want something more proportional but stylized while maintaining a style similar to that (If anyone's wondering the artist is "Yoako", just be careful, they do nsfw art too)
In the full Art School program, you showed us how to draw the face with a horizontal line exactly at the halfway point of the initial circle. But in this video, you show a different method that leaves the eyebrow line lower than the halfway point. Now I'm confused :/
Thank you so much for creating this set of practice! I'm trying to follow this instruction this whole week. Now I am at day 2 and I felt that I've improved my drawing skill already.
Something that people don't mention about learning to draw faces is how important it is to learn the anatomy of the skull. It's as crucial as learning realism before stylization. People skip realism and end up having grotesque facial proportions on their characters. You're not stylizing, you're just drawing it wrong. Don't skip the very basics otherwise you're gonna have a VERY rough art learning journey.
But isn't the face sketch like Loomis a simpler way to represent the fundamental form of the face? Drawing a skull doesn't seem like a beginner thing but more like a guide to use when doing more tedious realistic faces.
@@YoEnzo655 not exactly. The Loo is does represent the face in a simple way, but knowing the depth of the eye sockets, and the overall shape of the skull and it will give you a better understanding. The Loo is method is great for first starting off and works great as a guideline, but it isn’t strictly necessary to know the full details of the skull, but it greatly helps
Maybe it was intentional to discourage people to skip the video. Encourages users who would just write it down to watch the video and help the watch time.
In all honesty, I struggle so much with clothing folds. I know how they look, I just have no idea where they should go. It would be much appreciated if you made a second tutorial, but don’t let me dictate your uploading schedule.
Marc, can you do this but with color study? Like light and shadow, texture, color harmony practice/exercise etc. Please? ❤ If you read my comment, i hope you'll consider making a video about this 😊 Thank you so much for the hardwork you've put in creating this channel :)
Followed by how not to draw the same face over and over again.^^ One of my biggest problems. All my female characters look exactly the same. And i can't figure out how to change that... Maybe a topic for a future class, Marc😉
hi, I just wanted to ask if you could make a video about the ellipses and cylinder method? I wanted to ask this because I was having trouble working with it. I tried all the other methods and I think this is the best for me, but I'm just having trouble drawing its front, back, and sideways. So I wanted to ask if you could make a video of how to draw the ellipse and cylinder method's front, back, and sideways. thank you for your time.
Hello Marc, I have a question, I watched all your videos and bought the Art school but I don't yet understand 2 simple things ^^ The size of your canvas and the size of the brushes when you draw faces, can you tell me please! ^^ Have a nice day !
bluds been following us 2 weeks ago i was struggling with hair now with the face ;-; the next vid better be the human anatomy >8D or poses or anything related to the body of a homo sapient
I hope marc and his team continue to find ways to earn good money outside of directly charging for these videos. This is on target to be the greatest youtube school of all time
We’re hosting family this week so time’s been even harder to find than usual but class has finally started, pay attention! ⛔️

im starting this study today
That marathon face drawing at the end is crazy, you truly got incredible skills!!
Thanks! A good schedule and structure to learn something is as important as the "recipes" themselves (if done well).
Omg so early! Thank youuu for your videos!❤ it has teally helped me a lot to get back into drawing

How does he keep doing that?
Man is in my head for real
Thank god my oc has a mask so I don't have to go through the trouble making face expressions
Where did the day 6 and 7 go on the right side?
I love your tutorials and I have improved a lot thanks to your videos. And I would like to say that I would love to see more videos showing the painting style from Zelda's video I really loved the way of painting in that video.
I wish he’d show what keys he’s pressing when he copy pastes the eye symmetrically etc

Marc for 20+ years you have been an artist. Have you ever experienced carpal tunnel syndrome or wrist pain?
i just started learning faces and this dude popped up lol
What a timing.
Hello there again :D
I'm about to finish your 30 day drawing challenge. Mmm, this will be a good next challenge
noice
I've been focusing on faces this past week, if only this came out earlier 😂😂
God has sent me the answer I needed
Time to listen to the real class 🤓

I don’t understand this at all are we supposed to know the spacing between the lines cuz
Dang
Pro tip: anime faces are not always perfect on loomies some parts are shorter or longer
thank you so loomies method great for realistic faces
@@حمزه-ك2غ5خ yes most of the time but not always
Did my best the whole week but I'm starting to think drawing just isn't for me😅
Fun Fact:
You can double tap to like comments on youtube
Tap 3 times to comment.
I used to be decent at drawing but all of a sudden i cant draw face
Are you in my walls?! How did you know what I've already been practicing for WEEKS?
..
"spend 30 minutes to an hour drawing a face" i was done in 5 minutes and its a glorified stick figure T.T
Maybe, perhaps, that was the issue?
@@MainAcc0 well yeah im just saying ita hard to spend alot of time on drawing a face from imagination if you dont know how to draw
Not me trying to copy Mika pikaso
Fine i will give you 7 days :(
Are you in my walls, I'm litteraly struggling so hard with faces recently 😭😭
He’s in everybody’s walls
I am struggling.
End full stop.
U will struggle more in hands dude
He drew too much faces that he cant even control his face 💀
It only took me 7 minutes to figure out what's wrong on my head drawings because of this video, thanks mate its super helpful
Bro, get out of my head...

I agree. If you skip realism, you’ll have your faces looking worse than the grotesque heads of money spiders 💀💀💀💀

@kingideaofficial I see. I'm really new to drawing so I'll stick to Loomis for now but I'll consider using the skull anatomy further on.
The right hand graphic didn't update past 5

This literally dropped the day I decided to finally get good at drawing characters, well drawing anything really.

Followed by how not to draw the same face over and over again.^^ One of my biggest problems. All my female characters look exactly the same. And i can't figure out how to change that... Maybe a topic for a future class, Marc😉
Just learn different eye shapes, maybe use a different eyebrow shape aswell

I need more of this schedules!!!.. I'm lost 😭
yes I'm on time today! Am gonna take notes lessgooo
what about traditional artists that cant slide it down?
I measure it up with a ruler. It's a little bit more tricky but it does the job
I will draw so many faces after this- I'm ready
I've never seen a bald guy as handsome as you hehehehe 🤓 sorry I love your videos 🇧🇷
so once you get good drawing with the loomis method, you can draw without using it (the prep phase)?
