Great video J.C.Smith when you have to replace or repair your battery box it's always nice to look around and see what you have. With a little adjustment and some fabrication you can make it better for your battery box with a holder. Thanks for sharing stay safe Mr & Mrs J.C.Smith.
As many of those medium trucks you work with, would it be cost effective to have those people at Indiana Fab make you a few blank generic battery boxes to have on hand?
Dear J.C. Smith projects family. 👍👌👏 Because of what you wrote on the title photo, I had no expectations Additionally I'm pretty sure that your admission/confession was never ever mentioned on this channel before. 😁 ;-) Best regards, luck and especially health to all 3 of you.
Good ol' northern states weight reduction strikes again! The "fabri-cobbled" battery box looks great. Should definitely last the rest of that trucks life
Hey JC , Thanks for sharing your adventures! Always love seeing what you are doing! Regards Bob

I just did the same battery math and came up with the same answer. The truck won’t be used until summer so I just need it to start occasionally.
Nice work on the battery box

The old box could have rotted, because bad ground to chassis?
most times its trapped salt and brine solutions. other times its from a leaking battery.

if metal parts are around use it it free......
Batteries tend to Discharge when they are lying on cement floors do to ground effect !!!
that could have possibly long go but the plastic used now is designed so that cant happen.
That's a cool battery box.
If you build your own, you can make it stronger, then anything that you can buy
I use brass nuts on them terminals.
And u bolts on exhausts and flanges
