Absolutely Incredible! The Enterprise never looked better than she does here! A First Class accomplishment in CGI and the recreation of an iconic movie legend! You guys have given all of us fans the ultimate treasure: our favorite lady of the stars in spaceflight once again! Thank you for sharing this grand tribute to 'STAR TREK!'
WOW!! you guys NAILED IT!! I particularly noticed you had the transport dock on the port side torpedo air-lock not the port side engineering air-lock which was stated in the radio chatter nicely DONE!!👍
Fantastic! That's a gorgeous model, really wonderfully faithful. Love all the extra detail in the windows, and so happy you fixed the pod docking location. That always bugged me. Oh, and one tiny little thing... Enterprise is leaving dry dock using her reaction thrusters. Those are the little paired yellow 'lights' inside the yellow pentagons around the rim of the primary hull, around the main deflector housing, and on the 'fins' at the tail of the warp nacelles. You've reproduced them faithfully, as that is how they were shown on screen, but it would be amazing to see them used as intended (an example is in the JJ Abrams Trek movies, particularly Beyond where you see them firing). In any case, stupendous, movie-quality work here!
I am not a graphics animator, but I can greatly appreciate the work and effort it took to draw and produce this. You can even see into all the windows. Great Job! In particular, I was amazed that it took an incredible 500 hours to render. Wow!
"Good God, Bones. We're running late." "Just relax. They're not leaving without us." "They powered up without us. Look, the docking clamps are already detached." "Calm down, Jim. We're almost there." "Can't believe this. I missed the lights turning on. I love watching the lights turn on. That part is the most fun." "You know, this wouldn't be happening if you hadn't insisted on having that second burrito." "They -are- pretty damn good, Bones. I think that vendor knows my weakness. He knows exactly where to set up so I won't miss him."
I so much love your star trek CG vids to the point of worshiping them as they are so fantastic please continue with them as they give millions of people so much enjoyment. Thanks for all that you do as it does not go unnoticed.
I know I'm 8 years late but it's only recently I've been getting these type of videos in my recommendations. I have to say, great work. The frame compositions and of course all the modeling work and lighting are pretty top notch. All these vids make me wanna dive back into Blender again cuz there's much I need to learn still. P.S. I've never noticed those shuttle ports on the sides of the Enterprise before. Probably cuz the those details got lost in all the previous transfers of the movie or I just never paid it any mind lol
what can you say ? for anyone who has watched the sequences at the cinema numerous times - this evokes the same emotions and improves on them . others may render the same scenes but you have to edit and orchestrate the images and music in a way to make an experience. full marks to the people who created each element and to what youve achieved so far
The Enterprise-A has a timeless look about her. I reckon it'll still look modern in the actual year 2350 when we should be travelling about in space by that point - even if faster than light speed still hadn't even invented by then.
FairPlay to Hike Animation. Hollywood had millions to throw at this movie (ok 35yrs ago) but Hike produced this at home using readily available PC equipment. Probably cost less than £1000. 3ds max is not an easy piece of software to master, and master it you have😉.Top job 👍👍.
Amazing, truly mazing. I have seen alll your videos and the progress. I wish i was this talented. I have just started using photoshop and illustrator. Soon maybe I will use some other programs.
"I don't think these kids can steer." :P An immaculate depiction of the _Enterprise._ It's worthy of replacing the reused footage from _Star Trek: The Motion Picture._
The refit.Enterprise is the most elegant ships ever. .She speaks out in silent body language. Just seeing her sweep on by gives you a sense of awe. at any angle.
This is okay. But there are a few issues. First, the deflector dish. When it is first activated, in this video, it's blue in color. Wrong. In both Star Trek TMP and ST:II, when first activated in space dock, the deflector dish is orange until it clears Earth's orbit (the creators used the same footage from TMP for ST:II in this sequence.) Also, the shuttle pod docking was out of order. First, the shuttle pod carrying Admiral Kirk and company docked. Kirk did a short inspection tour (which Kirk ended abruptly,) and headed to the bridge. Kirk arrives on the bridge, Sulu acknowledges Kirk's presence with "Admiral on the bridge," and we hear Saavik say "Running lights on." So, the video here should have shown the shuttle pod docking THEN the ship's running lights turned on. In this video, the Enterprise leaves spacedock on one quarter impulse. Again, we see that the Enterprise's deflector dish is blue. This is wrong again. At 3:03 in the video when the camera pans from the underside of the saucer to the engineering section, THAT is when the deflector turns blue signifying full power just before Sulu takes the ship to full impulse. Gotta watch the little details when you make these videos. They matter! See how it appeared in ST:II here: ruclips.net/video/FXsca2Qj6Bg/видео.html
Lovely work.. a true master of the details of a moment of film we all loved? I must have go at something like this someday using Blender, I just did my 1st 3D female Head which took me a week of work! Not bad when you think I had never done any of that sort of work before now? Thanks to some good RUclips help videos of course! But I would love to do this sort of work soon? Just got to keep learning. I even did a couple of years back a test rig of a ATM ERTL Refit Enterprise from STMP and got the lighting right for the insides and the impulse engines and lighting on the outside ( using plastic fibre optics ) The ship was painted too. But I could only do the flashing Navigation main LEDs Not the others the 2nd speed ones as I don't know how to do the electronics of the timer chips? I know you can buy the ship lighting kits, But they are very pricey and only really available in the US not so easy to get over here in the UK. shame that.
Gosto de star trek e muito top o universo de jornada nas estrelas pra min seus duvidas e um dos melhores seriados de ficcao cientifica de todos os tempos parabéns pelo conteúdo
@smileygabe22 too bad :)....im not saying its bad...im just saying that it still needs a bit perfecting...otherwise this is the best channel with fanmade videos by far
For those of you who wondered what the original Enterprise would look like given the full ST TMP Glamour Treatment: ruclips.net/video/XoZ5OqOyzAA/видео.html
This pod going in a curve and then backin in towards the enterprise bugs me every single time i see this. Cars are driven like that. Spaceships are not. Because spaceships are not running on wheels determining their direction. The attitude and direction of a spaceship are not connected to each other in any way, this can go backwards or sideways, really doesn't matter. Thus you need loads of energy to go in a nice slow curve with a spaceship, turning it around slowly and at the same time accelerating it sideways...
As good as this looks, it lacks that level of realism that can only be achieved by using miniatures. After 500 hours of rendering it still looks like computer graphics. Its too smooth, too pristine and has no feeling of weight or mass. The industry needs to go back to using practicle miniatures.

This never gets old. She's such an elegant lady
Aye. She's a beauty.
The prettiest of Ladies.
im agree
That epic score just about matches Jerry Goldsmith's.
Absolutely no insult to either composer.
Bloody AMAZING!
BEAUTIFUL! And so CRYSTAL CLEAR! Thank you so much for making this!
🖖😎👍Very cool and very nicely well done and executed in every detail way shape and form provided indeed!,👌.
Beautiful, just absolutely beautiful....I would love to see more of her. Perfect!!
Fantastic! That's a gorgeous model, really wonderfully faithful. Love all the extra detail in the windows, and so happy you fixed the pod docking location. That always bugged me.

Ok. OK. OK!!! I give up! I have subscribed because YOU GUYS TOTALLY ROCK!
This still gives me chills even after all these years. Beautiful!!

Hahahaha.....darn, dropped my phone....🤣

Congratulations for this great work! This flight of our loved lady is very beautiful!!
Great job!! You've matched the music with the animation perfectly. It's something the original movie should have had with years ago. Very fluid scene.
Perfect for me. I could watch it over and over! What a beautiful ship....
Please Scotty, beam me up :-)

Nobody comes close! Seriously this is some of the best animation I have ever seen. Bravo!

The most beautiful Enterprise of Star Trek
The Connies and Connie Refits are the most graceful designs of any ST ship of any era, hands down. This gave me chills.
This never gets old. Pure artistry and genius, far exceeds the originals.
That’s amazing, can barely tell the difference between this and the actual movie! Seriously, Hollywood could take lessons FROM YOU!
The Enterprise-A has a timeless look about her. I reckon it'll still look modern in the actual year 2350 when we should be travelling about in space by that point - even if faster than light speed still hadn't even invented by then.
Theme music has such a nautical, naval sense to it for me..Beautiful!
Fantastic music from James Horner's score, it was Oscar nominated... Not won, but it keeps being great!

This beautiful lady will always fly with us to the stars! Great job!
Im 38 and to this day. Refit Enterprise/Enterprise A are just the perfect design. My second would be Excelsior and her namesake class
Damn you captured her perfectly.
Great job, you accomplished the difficult task of matching tone and the gravitas of the physical model.
"All I ask is a tall ship and a star to steer her by..."
Jeff 725 “Melville”
@@abbaszaidi8371 are you sure?
Francesco Petri “I know all the classics Doctor “
8 years and more impressive than ever!
They docked at the port torpedo tube bay. Thank you.
that is the port torpedo tube.
Some of James Horner's best music.
I would say flawless great job!
Beautiful work. Kudos to all artists involved. :)
And I agree with Edward Fraraccio.... you had 'em dock in the proper spot for TWOK! Well done! :)
Shitt. I cried a little bit. Just a little. Excelent soundtrack choice and images.
Hey Marcos you're the man!
Your Videos just keep on getting better!
Such a Beautiful Ship and Design Just Love her
I still say the best part of this scene is James Horner's music.
2 people need ceti eels in their ears to make them more susceptible to shall we say, suggestion.
Amazing work
At 3:50 -- "You may indulge yourself, Mr. Sulu."
The beauty is unmatched! SUBED!
well done! enjoyed as usual!
"I don't think these kids can steer." :P
An immaculate depiction of the _Enterprise._ It's worthy of replacing the reused footage from _Star Trek: The Motion Picture._
This is beautiful!
the was sweet I like that your used the Wrath of Khan music to this
The refit.Enterprise is the most elegant ships ever. .She speaks out in silent body language. Just seeing her sweep on by gives you a sense of awe. at any angle.
Absolutely stunning.
Shockingly... this is better than the original. WOW.
Great Work! Loved It!
Gorgeous...treat her like a lady and she’ll always bring you home.
In my heart and mind this is Star Trek.
simply wonderful.
still fantastico, I come here at least once a year!
love the refit design...
As much as I like Jerry Goldsmith's work, for me, James Horner's score is THE theme music for Star Trek.
Theme has such a nautical sense to it for me
And they really did get the lead out from the Motion Picture launch to the Wrath of Khan departure.
This looks way better than the movie
"Take her out, Mr. Saavik."
Good job, Mister.
It's she a beauty, the center jewel in the crown of Starfleet, Kirk that's MY ship!
Goosebumps!!!

Would you like the tranquiliser?
Wing Commander Buggles oh be quiet
“Ahead one quarter impulse power”
It was great that the Enterprise NCC-1701 got redesigned and refitted because she got another elevator to enter or leave the bridge.
I LOVED it !
What a beautiful ship
James Horner's soundtrack made STII and STIII extremely special compared to the other movies.
Love it love it love it!
i love the music and the cgi of earth...the enterprise still looks a bit fake up close but al in all its great...and the video is amazing
This is why the JJ Treks failed--they never treated the Enterprise as a character. JJ even said he didn't care about 'the ship'.
JJA ruined every franchise he touched.
Amazing totally cool 😎 nice Job 👍 Guy’s and Girl’s

@ThrashTillDeath73 He's one guy, one computer. What does PIXAR, DigitalDomain or other FX houses have. This guy is one talented dude.
Really nice model. I love the satin finish on it. What render engine did ya use?
Very nice, I would like to see someone make the USS vengeance in a battle
@smileygabe22 too bad :)....im not saying its bad...im just saying that it still needs a bit perfecting...otherwise this is the best channel with fanmade videos by far
She's a classic I would love to see the FSA Challenger Class heavy cruiser the last of the constitution class.
The deflector dish is glowing the wrong color it’s supposed to be warm white almost tan with out being in warp. Otherwise looks great
Sweet!
Haha! You can see the people in the shuttle at 2:02!
The MF jewel of the Galaxy!!
Not bad but you got the deflector dish color wrong. It is an amber color when it's in impulse mode and blue in warp mode.

@filigrant
Damm I hit the like on your comment by accident, the Enterprise looks more realistic then the movie did! Shame on you!
This guy is talented yes, but remember that studios have a larger staff required to put out animations in weeks rather than months. Think about it.
Здесь сканировали мотор.
