it really isn't complicated you have different methods of doing it, you can cut it open and sew it inside out or you can even sew it on the right side. It's your preference. If you have a sewing machine that probably be easier, better and save you a lot of time. I do want to alter another pair of jeans so i'll try to do a close tutorial on how I sew it.. but idk when ill get a chance to do it, with all the holidays coming up
You are so cute 😍 and i saw that girl's jeans picture on Instagram and liked it so much and wanted tutorial on it ,here i saw your video. Bingo🥳 Thank you so much for the video now I'm gonna go and make mine!! 🌼
THESE R SO CUTE! IM GOING THRIFTING FOR JEANS RN AND IM GONNA MAKE THIS 😻 tysm I’m halfway done, I’m making a neon and dark green cowprint, thx again! I love this ❤️
I love this idea!!! I would probably just sew a crochet strip onto the side of pants that already fit me, just sounds easier to me. I was looking for easy ways to add crochet flare to regular clothes, and this is literally perfect!
So if it fits you around your waist but not in the legs… what I would do is still cut the side of the jeans but not all the way to the top, cut it to the part where it starts to fit… upper thigh or lower, and what I would do is… If you want your bottom part of the legs to be wider then your top part of the leg, start working from the bottom to the top, so chain maybe 9 or whatever length you want to start the bottom with…. and then go back and forth starting from the bottom to the top, and as you get closer to the top I would start decreasing your chains from 9 to 7, 5… until you have the desired fit. Since the top of your jeans fit perfectly you don’t need to continue working the same amount of chains at the top. So maybe start with 9 or 12 chain then as you get to the top where the jeans fit decrease form both sides to 7, 5🥰 I hope this make sense and help a little
I would do a little swatch so measure how much you want to add to your jeans then make a few rows of your pattern then measure until you get the number you want 🙂
It’s was a yarn needle with a sharp tip. I had it for years so idk where I bought it. But any thick needle so your yarn can go through the hole and anything sharp at the tip would work
There is a lot of checkered pattern on RUclips It’s very simple and they have better explanations. I would google how to crochet checkered pattern. All you do is make it as long as you want and then see it to your jeans .
can you PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE do one where you add a triangle-ish crochet to the two sides of a jean (waistband) so that the waist is upsized? Apologies for my lack of terminology knowledge😭
I just used my yarn needle and flipped my jeans inside out and attached it a lot he way up the side as best as I could. You can definitely use a sewing machine if you have one 🥰
So it’s more of a preference since we’re all different sizes I just put my project against the jeans to continue checking the length. So try to match it to your jeans length. And width I would use a measuring tape and measure how big your waist is and see how much the jeans waist is then subtract and make a chain half the size of the subtracted number . Because if you do both sized you need to split it in half. Let’s say my jeans are 32inch in wait and my waist is 40inch so I would 40-32=8inch /2 which would equal 4inch each side So start making your chain and measure it to 4 inch and then go back and forth until you have your pants length
sorry girl i was really bad at keeping track of that :( ill do better this year . But honestly it was not that much i would say 1 skein of yarn for each color
These look so great! Would it be possible to show an in-depth tutorial on sewing the crochet strip to the jeans?

You could easily work in a few rows of fine elastic into each crochet section at the waist to pull them in.
Hiii, do you know how I can do it if my pants fit me in the superior part but it doesn't in the legs? Thank you, the result is incredible!!

How do you know how many stitches to do for it to fit like if you have big hips

Hey could you please possibly what needle you used for getting through the denim as well? Thank you!

How did you sew the strip like what sewing method did you use

P.s. love your creation. Been wanting to do it but now I’m really motivated
@@denisenunezartandmore9833 awww thank you so much 🥰 hope you do it cause I was obsessed with wearing my jeans after and you will to
how much grams of yarn did you use?
sorry girl i was really bad at keeping track of that :( ill do better this year . But honestly it was not that much i would say 1 skein of yarn for each color
How do u wash them.???????
The washing machine is fine then I would air dry it 🥰
@@knittylife won’t the crocheted part be harmed? Stretched?
@@deepagovind2293 mine turned out okay as long as you air dry. If your dry is it in the dryer that could shrink but I’ve never tried that
@@deepagovind2293 you can also I guess wash it in the sink and then air dry it
At the ping pong area there was my country flag Iraq 🇮🇶 ❤
