Brilliant Frannie! I have a few pairs of distressed jeans that I may make simple appliqués to cover the more exposed areas. Great idea for jeans that are a bit too short also. I remember back in my teens during late 60’s I would embroider suns and moon on my jeans. Still just an old hippie at heart❤️. Thank you for the inspiration 💕
This is awesome Frannie !!!! I am a bigger person and I have quite a few tops that are to short for me, I am going to take this idea and add length to the tops so i can actually get some use out of them. Brilliant :)
Love it. Save the jean scrap you cut off. They make great wrist cuff that could match as well. Or I've used them for patches. Fyi everyone there is a crochet kit you can get that's a set of 2. One has the pointed tip to make the hole.
I remember in the old days, my teenage years, we used to split the outside lower leg seam and sewed material in.and around the hem. I wonder if something like that would work. Love creative ideas. The way fashion comes back around and you're starting to see crochet on the runway. Guess you could also make a matching tank top. Hummmmm
Great ideas! This will solve a problem for me.... I wanted a jean jacket to go with a dress I have, but it is too hot for the summer. I don't want a vest because I prefer my arms covered. This is PERFECT!!! Crocheted sleeves! Thanks for the ideas. ❤️
I am really excited about crochet the runway...I can't wait to see the projects that evolve from this. I think there must be sooooo many possibilities for new and exciting clothes we already have in our closet 😊
Hi, Frannie! Holy moly! This is such a cool and easy idea. I have seen some great crochet and knit summer wear at our local mall. I have snapped a few pictures for inspiration. Love your new revamped jeans! Bravo! 👏👏👏👏 - Paula
I love this idea. In the past I had a pair of pants that was too short and I ended up sewing some fabric on the bottom of the legs, but this is a great idea.
I consider myself lucky to have found this, bc a few days ago I’d found a nice pair of jeans at the thrift store & they hit right at my calves, I thought about sewing a strip of material to the bottom but I really like your idea better. I can’t wait to but the perfect crochet thread & get started. Thank you so much!
Oh, I thought you were going to model your jeans!! Maybe the next video? *wink* They look beautiful and I LOVE that yarn. I don't have any jeans. Nope! But I enjoyed watching you glam up yours. This is a great idea of yours: Crochet the Runway. Looking forward to seeing all the results!!
@@anamariarivera9260 I made my holes every 1/4". Once you decide how far apart you want the holes (the further apart the bigger the stitch), then you just start by attaching your yarn and doing a single crochet through each hole. The number of single crochets will depend on the number of holes you make.
I really like this as I do have a pair that is too short. I will try this. Thanks 😊
My pleasure, Christine! I'd love to see pics when you do it.💕🧶
I think I will love this Crochet the Runway, Those jeans are fabulous Frannie!!!
Thank you, Brenda!❤️🧶

Great idea, Elaine!❤️
I use my icepick as an awl
That works.😂
How many single crochets in the first row for a pair of jeans?
It really depends on the jeans. Are you talking about on the pockets or around the bottoms?
@@FranniesHair around the bottom
