- Johnny and Rob Man talk indepth about Resident Evil VIII, Resident Evil Village is a survival horror game developed and published by Capcom. The sequel to Resident Evil 7: Biohazard (2017), players control Ethan Winters, who is searching for his kidnapped daughter; after a fateful encounter with Chris Redfield, he finds himself in a village filled with mutant creatures. While Village maintains the Resident Evil series' survival horror elements, the game adopts a more action-oriented gameplay style compared to its predecessor.

Yeah I for one believe that you should play any difficulty that you have the most fun with.. That being said, right before the game released I heard that standard was much too easy for more weathered survival horror fans.. So I broke tradition and started the game on hardcore.
The werewolf raid in the beginning sucked so much ass. I didn’t know it was a timed thing where I had to survive for 5 minutes, at first I was shooting to kill every enemy.. but with 10-15 pistol shots needed to take down ONE werewolf coupled with the fact that I only had 25 bullets and a few shotgun shells to fend off 8 of them.. yeah it was rough. But once I found a path to avoid them the longest possible time I was able to beat it. So the beginning of the game is widely regarded by those who played on Hardcore to be the hardest part of the game 😂
After that it was the most enjoyable, balanced difficulty level I’ve played in a game. I always had juuust enough ammo to scrape by, just like the older Resident Evil games. Playing it on an easier difficulty where you’re loaded up on ammo at all times takes away a lot of the tension in combat which kills a lot of the fun for me..
I haven’t played any resident evil games and haven’t a clue what there on about but Rob man and Johnny are the best love watching them
I loved the game and im left wondering why Ethans fingers didnt grow back after they got bitten off.. Great video guys

I love the enthusiasm from Rob's "Fuck your house"! Around 30:10. I kept dying from laughter just imaging him breaking and being a habitual line stepper with everything in the game. 🤣

I'll be honest with you, I played through Village the first time on Easy just so I knew how the story ended. Mostly due to the marketing on the first trailer saying "His story is coming to an end I legit thought that this was the story that Chris was going to die in. However, on normal difficulty, it was a complete and utter blast I loved it. Also, doing what Rob is doing as in getting all the main weapons fully upgraded to unlimited ammo just to run through Village of Shadows and blow everything up!
I played Resident Evil Remake 16 hours straight when I first got the game. Beat it with Jill and then half way through with Chris in one sitting.

Interesting thing... Alan Moore did the same in his swamp thing run in the 80, where the main character discovers to be a plant thinking to be a man and not a man mutated when he died Inn the swamp. Brilliant
I can’t stop playing this game. Just can’t stop. I also REALLY dig mercenaries mode in this game.
The only thing I'm going to say is that I'm extremely happy that these kind of games are still being made by big companies like Capcom. Single-player, no micro-transactions. I really loved my time with RE8.
Put like that, the sting of how "focus tested" Village and RE3R seemed is pretty drastically cut down. The games could certainly be much worse, I guess.

The thing that gets me about the "too scary" complaints is not that there are people who think a game can be too scary - that part makes perfect sense to me. What gets me is that there are gamers out there willing to admit that a game was too scary for them. Given the nature of the gaming fan base, that takes some serious balls.

I agree wholeheartedly with Rob Man. Unlike him I really enjoyed RE4 when it came out; over time it definitely lost its luster, but after playing Resident Evil 8, I definitely appreciate for like I did the day it came out.
Johnny states 3 different moments at about the same level. When he says the baby monster under the creepy doll house is a little weird, Ethan Winters attaching his limbs back on with medical liquid is weird, and Lady D ducking under the door

Robman, dude, Heisenberg was a total play on Nicolas Cage. I mean, it’s so close that it’s gotta be. Lol. When I first heard him speak in the trailers, I thought Capcom was going to announce that he had been hired for the voice work.

I may not be a hardcore fan of RE. But a chat with Rob, always fun.
What bugs me, is the amount of dlc keeps being kept away from players. Better yet make everything unlockable by playing the game. whether it's difficulty, or something hidden.
When RE2R&3 + 7 were released, that frustrated me. I like exploring and unlocking as I play. Tired of Dlc being used as a crutch.
I don't mind spoilers. But it leaves a lot open, hopefully they resolve this new trilogy, and keep us on our toes.

They should have a "grownup" mode on all RPGs that halves the encounter rate and doubles the xp. For busy gamers with jobs who just want to get through the story 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Comments like these make me feel so old lol. I wish I could jump on board with the straight action-y games the series became from 4 on, but I have to disregard every installment after CV as Resi games so I can just enjoy them for what they are: fun action games with a "horror slant."
@@12ealDealOfficial it’s a good thing the series evolved over time because it has kept it alive. 7 is also a straight survival horror game, you should play that one.
