By watching your videos and others, eating a Carnivore/ketovore for for 7 months, I've lost 42 pounds and put on muscle. I have 23 more pounds to lose and going to put on at least 5 pou nda of muscle. Then reassess where I'm at and really target certain areas over the next year and lose fat and gain more muscle! I'll be 60 next year. My thumbnail picture is only from a couple of years ago. I look better now because im healthier.

I've been tracking calories and macros in a deficit for 4 years. Lifting heavy, lifting moderate, walking 3.2 miles per day 5 days a week. I've done this while in ketosis and high carb/ high protein. I couldnt lose ANY weight. Not 1 single pound outside of the water drop when first going into ketosis. I stopped supplementing / increasing my protein and was finally able to lose about 3lbs. Doing a liquid fast for 4 days i was able to lose another 2-3 lbs. I was only 30lbs over weight. Cardio causes me to GAIN weight. No joke. I've tested it. If i keep my heart rate over 140bpm for any prolonged period i will gain weight.
I have done the same thing, but low carb-unless it is a typo. I am 60, and for the last 3 years, I cannot lose weight. I am going trick Carnivore to see if that helps my metabolism.

I don’t know how to get in 135 g protein daily. When I was pregnant I aimed at 100 g and I was so sick from eating so much, esp because I struggle to digest animal proteins and I’m allergic to beans/legumes and soy., among many other things. And my thyroid isn’t going to work right, I have Hashimotos.

Creatine isn't good for your kidneys. If you have kidney issues, it's best to avoid it. Too much protein can affect kidneys as well. Estrogen isn't great after menopause. If a woman has low testosterone, supplementation is a good idea. Having thyroid issues is a drag.

Well you got the protein right. Lost me when you started pushing the carbs. I always work out fasted. I also limit my carbs in general mostly beef. Our bodies can make all the glucose we need from fat or protein. I always work out fasted and do well. You need to give your body time to adapt and build the systems to support functioning without all the carbs. I am 70 and I do fine with out the carbs. Also look at Shawn Baker he does well too as do many others.
@@debiwillis9045l don‘t know if carbs are just for hormones, l‘ve gone keto three times for up to 7 months each time and haven‘t really felt any improvement, on the contrary every time my muscles hurt like hell when l was climbing stairs or a hill on the bike, and this wasn‘t because of mineral or other defieciency. My supplement intake cannot be augmented🙈So maybe no carb/ very low carb is better for the male metabolism and women need carbs more? I have finally abandoned the ketogenic diet which was so dear to my mind, and my muscles don‘t hurt anymore😊
