Just a few questions ... I don't think it's that much of a hassle to generate proxies in DR to edit in fcpx and one can relink to camera originals in that proces. Which I like as it is a non destructive workflow for colorgrading later on and DR is fast in transcoding. So, Is CF Transcoder faster than DR transcoding? Can one relink to camera originals using CF transcoder. You transcoded to prores LT, Is that you're delivery codec?

I'm a BIG fan of the BMPCC6k, Color Finale, and Cinema Grade, but I'm not all that impressed with this Color Finale program--at least as you describe it here. You're still going to have to transcode it for the final edit, and that takes considerable time.
your video on transcoding Braw into pro res is excellent, and really, it's no big deal. So, I'd still rather do most of the things that BRAW provides in Davinci because you have fluid view assessment of the clips, and then transcode in Pro Res, and do the final tweaks in FCPX as needed.
Because of the transcoding issue I really don't see any advantage in using the new Color finale transcoder. In fact, it seems more problematic, more time consuming, and more difficult.
Tell me where I'm going wrong.

I think your use of the word, NATIVELY, is misused in this case. You cannot edit BRAW in this FCPX, it's transcoded for FCPX with a few import options, that's all. I'm having a terrible time with this transcoder, unfortunately. It simply won't open. I hope CF gets back to me and it gets sorted soon. I can't even reinstall because the computer says the program is open even when FCPX is closed. It's nuts.

Hey sorry to hear it’s giving you trouble! I’m by no means qualified tech support, but what I will say is double check their website for system requirements to make sure the software is compatible with your configuration. Also, from the upper right tool bar on your desktop, near the clock, there should be a small icon for the transcoder, you must click on that and select close from the drop down to close it out completely even after closing FCP.

But you completely lose the whole point of B-RAW and it's color grading benefits. Yes, you can "re-import" and make some adjustments but that's nothing compared to what you would do in Resolve with color adjustments. So if you like and are faster in Final Cut Pro editing-wise, then it would be great if the software could export an EDL that would open in Resolve and automatically re-import everything so you could color correct in Resolve like days of old.
OR, could it transcode into Pro Res RAW? I'm sure that's technically very difficult but that would be the real solution. This hardly gives you any benefit of shooting B-RAW.
